You know what's a great thing to bring up at Thanksgiving? Politics. Anyone will tell ya. Being up politics because it will absolutely make everybody feel like they truly are on the same page. Well. As long as you all share the same politics. Which of course you do! Right?
That's certainly the perspective of Doctor Who. We all have put aside our differences of opinion, and what better way to celebrate that than by making commentary on the only thing more divisive (oh, I'm sorry, only thing that WAS more divisive) than politics? Enter: religion.
Yes, yes, that most agreeable topic. We're all decided now that "faith" is, how did The Doctor put it? "The magic word that keeps you never having to think for yourself."
Impressive. Just when you think the new iteration has run out of ways to make a loud stand on something, it attacks the faithful. Of course Christians, esp. Anglicans, get the brunt of it, but give them some credit! The Doctor is being inclusive in his denunciation of all faiths, after all.
