La Brea (2021)
Abysmal
Craig-fikes took the words right off of my fingers. Terrible acting, script, CGI images-what's not to despise?
The Man in the High Castle (2015)
This is awful.
I am late to this show. The acting is horrible. At times, some of the scenes appear to be mediocre depictions of some of Star Trek's holodeck episodes. Somebody should have decided to make it a comedy. That might have worked.
Law & Order: Organized Crime: Forget It, Jake; It's Chinatown (2021)
Garbage- And they managed to insult a fine film via the lame title of the episode.
The writers are working from "Teleplays for Dummies." One should not be able to predict scenes in a well written TV program or film. That is not the case with this program.
It is sad that some people have given this a high rating because it just means more mediocrity. The writers of this should be banished to the QVC. Everybody in law enforcement in NYC is a moron except for the main cast of this show. If this is going to be one ongoing Elliot vs. A Nemesis then it is going to be one boring wash and rinse and repeat miserable journey. I am out.
Yeah, in the real world a cop is going to go out of his way to save the life of the bad guy who had the cop's wife murdered. And the law enforcement folks are going to let the person whom they are protecting be poisoned and one of them turns out to be on the take and so...well...Do not let anybody on Law and Order protect you if you are in protective custody.
PS. Yakety Sax should have been on the soundtrack instead of the melodramatic stuff that was played.
True Detective (2014)
Just finshed Season 3
If one needs a lot of things to blowed up good, or is confused by well done and logical flashbacks that do not bog down the story, do not watch it.
Others by all means.
It does not get any better than this.
Law & Order: Organized Crime (2021)
This is terrible.
The negative comments that have been stated about the writing being bad are accurate. The entire production is awful. I wanted to like it, but it appears that the writers are working from "Teleplays for Dummies." One should not be able to predict scenes in a well written TV program or film. That is not the case with Law & Order: Organized Crime. 1 star
New season: The one thing that is really stupid is that Stabler is working undercover in a city where he has had a high profile forever. Otherwise it is not as lame as the first season, but still stupid. 3 stars.
EPISODE 5
OK...this is stupid. On the street outside of the diner, Sergeant Bell approaches one of the young women being trafficked and tries to get her to go with her. Then later, Sergeant Bell known as Sergeant Bell to the host, goes to a party that features the trafficked girls being auctioned off. She is appears oblivious to the fact that the girl whom she tried to get to go with her might be there.
The Twilight Zone (2019)
It doesn't get any worse than this.
I am not going to write an essay about why I think that this thing is so bad. I just want to state that it is depressing that such mediocrity gets "green lighted" and episodes are ordered and then broadcast. That means to me that the days of quality work are numbered.
Debris (2021)
So far so bad.
Where do they find the writers for these lame science fiction themed television shows? Wherever it is, they should try a new location. Either that or somebody should create a BORING network to air all of these things.
Update: So, I am now suffering through the second episode. I have no idea how anybody who claims to like this genre can enjoy this dreck. It concerns me that support for such mediocrity will only encourage more of the same.
It would have been much better if instead of going with clones the writers would have gone with clowns. Debris is an apt title, though. Debris as in garbage. How anybody can compare this to The X Files is the true mystery.
The Kid & I (2005)
Some reviewers missed the point.
Some of the reviews indicate that the reviewers did not realize that Gores had been Tom Arnold's neighbor, and this is the film that Gores made. Art is life in this case. Fifteen years later it is not that important, I know.
