The Orville: Twice in a Lifetime (2022) Season 3, Episode 6

Good episode but kind of obvious

I knew that once they encountered Gordon and his family that they would jump again and that would solve everything. Ed and Kelly were pretty much heartless automatons dealing with the situation, I get it, it's their duty, but that was off putting and bothersome. Seth McFarlane pretty much has one emotion anyway in this show so it fit. What was the point of going to his house with security to tell him they're going back ten years to collect him and terrorize his family?? That was harsh and unnecessary. The best thing about the episode was the interaction between Isaac and Charly, great road buddy banter and we find out why Charly is so upset, having lost a love whom she never told.

What I miss about this show is the humor it has ditched alot of in favor of more drama, would love to have more of it back.

Susie nailed it

Susie's speech at the funeral was so perfect, it brought tears to my eyes. How true is it not knowing what a person has lived through or experienced, only to be taken for granted later in life. Rest well Brian Tarantina.

Taking a break from the usual was a welcome change, and spending time with Beard was overdue. Loved his adventure thru nightlife, especially the dance club scene at the end. Well done.

Loved the episode, great to see the ensemble come together as they did. Not crazy about Che, but glad they're handling the relationship between Miranda and Steve maturely. More Anthony please!

Which was much more entertaining and funnier than this show. After a couple episodes I'm finding Jason Sudekis just irritating and not endearing, which is too bad since I like him as an actor.

Russell Crowe nailed it with his performance, and I liked the female lead as well. Some of the situations were ridiculous (this guy just committed murder and arson but he's just driving around the next day?) and implausible (can you really track a tablet whose battery died with a cell phone?) , but look past those points and it's a fun ride. Some new shows you watch and wait for it to hook you, waiting for something special in the story or a standout episode. These last two episodes were the clincher for me, very clever story, had me on edge and the show now has me hooked. Before this I thought the show was interesting but the episodes have been just okay, some good, but these two episodes were a standout. Great atmospheric music too.

Had nothing to watch on a Saturday night so flipping thru my apps this intrigued me on Hulu due to the Groundhog Day premise, despite the off putting title. Very entertaining, humor and fun action, with some heart. Frank Grillo was perfect for the role. Take a chance, you only live once *I did that*

Wow, that was bad

A whole episode of action to take the place of meaningful story, so many things left unexplained, a nonsensical mid credits scene with Monica, and an even more useless and confusing end credits scene with Wanda. At least I don't have to devote anymore time with this unnecessary show

This is a superbly crafted ghost story, mystery and suspense to the hilt. The actors are perfect, score is amazing, and the story keeps you guessing. It's sad movies aren't crafted as well as this anymore

Not your typical Hallmark movie, enjoyed the storyline which was a refreshing change. Love Amy Smart, and Jonathan Bennett as the gay best friend was great. Good performances all around.

I wasn't a fan of the first couple of seasons, which were all over the place and lacked focus. Good to see Discovery is finally finding some direction, liking the storyline so much better. It may not be the Trek I really want, but at least it has improved so much more this season

Totally not worth the hype

Overwrought, too long, had to turn the captions on to understand what they were singing about every second. Putting a 'hip' spin on history just didn't do it for me. No song was memorable. Only enjoyed King George's way too short scenes. Not a fan of Lin-Manuel Miranda, not a great actor and can't sing.

I'm back to being a kid again

I was 8 when the first Star Wars came out, and fell in love immediately. I had all the toys, action figures, etc. Watching this episode brought all those great feelings back full circle. You made a grown man cry, reliving the nostalgia and wonder I had for that universe. Not only Luke but R2 as well, simply amazing. Thank you.
