The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019)
Super humbling
I am so happy this movie shows how people who have a "disability" can achieve great heights. I play an MMORPG game online with a guy who is deaf and autistic and he plays no different from anyone else. I really love this movie because it shows that no matter who we are we have dreams and with help, determination, and some love we can achieve them! YEYA!!!!
Mad Max (1979)
Well shot, no plot
I still have no idea what the hell is going on in this movie. A high speed chase turns into a biker gang turns into some sort of muscle car vs a dude and no more cops... i don't get it. I do appreciate that this is one of the movies that spawned an entire genre but wow. A little back story goes a long ways.
Extraction (2020)
I feel bad for the stuntmen/women
There are so many hard hits in this movie i don't even know where to start! The plot did get a bit lost but OMG i didn't even care. LOVED IT!!!
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019)
Really cool horror flick
IDK why this is getting bad reviews. The way they shot it and how it pans out is kind of a 90's style but there is sooooo much more that is going on. If you like cheesy but awesome and scary stories, watch this movie. I LOVE IT :)
Carnival Row (2019)
I CAN'T WAIT for season 2!
The first episode is a bit eh but everything after is awesome. Seriously when you get thru the first episode and continue it goes deep and is very enjoyable. I 100% recommend :3
The Rift: Dark Side of the Moon (2016)
OMG that sound track.
This might be watchable without the music that makes no sense whatsoever and is CONSTANTLY playing. It's like they gave some kid a mix tape of weird sci-fi sounds and like indy pop or something and told him to play any track he wanted whenever he wanted.
Luchshe, chem lyudi (2018)
Meh
I watched the first episode but didn't feel engaged enough to continue. There were too many things that didn't make sense. like for real how the heck did that CEO guy get out of his drone on top of the Cronos building without getting chopped into pieces? Even an audio clue of the propellers stopping would have been enough but no they go loud as ever the entire scene. Honestly i bet it is much better in the Russian version but i really couldn't deal with the English dub, it sounds more like an amateur table read. If this was an audiobook i would have returned it after 10 min.
Men in Black: International (2019)
Meh...
LOTS of underlying feminism, man hate, etc... characters didn't make sense (Aliens that serve as chess pieces as their existence??? dumb). I felt like i was watching a propaganda film.
Deep Clean (2018)
Covers all the bases, and it's awesome!
This is a short summary of the story (no spoilers) but you need to watch it to see how well executed everything is. I really hope this is a pilot because I want to see more of this.
In the beginning you don't even know where the story might lead. A boy gets a much needed job at what is presumably a waste management company. He ends up having to go see what the real work is and gets his mind blown by what they are actually tasked to do. He then falls into a nice roll as a peer with his new co-workers. The ending opens up so much opportunity for expansion on the story of all the characters!
I absolutely loved it. This should become a show on Netflix or HBO or something, it has so much awesome potential!!!
Tinker' (2017)
No plot point whatsoever
This movie has no point. The only thing i got out of this is the writers really like the idea of crystals having some magical powers or something? The "machine" the guy is working on makes no sense. The only reason i'm giving this 3 stars is because the filming was good, if there was some sort of meaning behind the plot it would be enjoyable. I don't understand how there are so many good reviews for this film
Polar (2019)
OK story, Horrible execution
I liked the story of this film up until the end. The way it was played out left huge story gaps and jumps to scenes that made no sense whatsoever. It ended up making me angry that the story fell apart and the way they tried to make the ending out of all the nonsense was SO DUMB. I would recommend watching this movie if you want to yell at your TV
How It Ends (2018)
Ending? This is how it ends.... It ends
I actually really liked the movie. The ending is just so abrupt it literally leaves you saying "This is the end??? For real???" There is no closure and i really hope this is a starting movie for a series. If it is a standalone then this just made me very angry for no reason whatsoever. I did like it tho, just wish there was some sort of resolve.
Gray Matter (2018)
Horrible CGI animation, and everything else
I literally could not watch most of it. The alien moves like a robot, i have seen better animation from junior students who are actually studying animation. This is really really bad. I'll give it 1 for effort but this could have been a homework project. 0 stars if i could
A Quiet Place (2018)
Zzz Zzz Zzz
I fell asleep during my first watching of this movie. I get the point of it but dear God it is so slow!
The Darkest Dawn (2016)
Odd choices made but it was alright
The narrative of this movie totally baffled me. There is an alien invasion and most of the movie is humans killing humans instead of humans banding together. You do get to see the alien ships and there are cool scenes in this movie. The CGI was decent enough as well. Some of the effects they put on the camera lens stood out as bit and could have been done better but overall I enjoyed watching it even tho there were times where i was like 'Why in the heck would anyone in their right mind do that in this situation'. If this had a better storyline i would have enjoyed it much more.
Tau (2018)
Good and interesting but could have had a better story line
The interaction between the captive and the AI was really good. The way they made the captivator seem so ignorant and passive kinda threw me off. I liked it tho, there are scenes where you really feel the moment.
