True Lies (2023)
Y'all are way too harsh on this show! It is cute & enjoyable!
I'm giving this a 10/10 to spite all the people who are giving it a low rating & ripping it to shreds. I've only watched 2 episodes so far, but I am loving it! First of all, it's a TV SHOW. It's not real-life, so there will be some unrealistic scenarios. And the acting is not horrible like people are saying. I am loving the characters and Steve & Ginger do have chemistry and I'm constantly finding myself laughing because it is funny and humorous and enjoyable, and we don't need to have things be serious all the time. With our messed-up, crazy world, this is 45 minutes that takes me out of that and into the spy world, to save the world, despite how messed-up it is. Just sit back & enjoy. I will continue to do so.
When Calls the Heart: The Kiss (2021)
A beautiful love story was built for 3 seasons!
These "Team Nathan" haters are being truly terrible & atrocious with their low ratings & bad reviews. Don't listen to anything they say! They claim to have been misled, but what they failed to see throughout the last 3 seasons was a beautiful love story between Lucas & Elizabeth. There was never a love story between Nathan & Elizabeth. E & L connected on so many levels: books, similar upbringing, speaking French. They told each other everything, because they were developing a relationship. E & N always only connected over Allie or N's connection to Jack, which he lied to her about for 3 years! I'm still not sure why TN ever thought there was something more there. They shared one, maybe two "flirty" glances with each other, but everything else was always about Jack & E knowing N was hiding something from her. Him declaring his "love" for her & coming to HV to "protect" her is not romantic or heroic. It's creepy & for him to keep pursing her after she told him she can't be with him & had started to clearly date Lucas, was on the cusp of borderline stalking. I think E was too gentle with N when she let him down in the finale. She should have been more harsh with him, but she wasn't, because that's what kind of person she is, she didn't want to hurt him, but knew she was going to, so she said it in the most gentlest way she could. N coming to L to declare that the woman he *supposedly* loves isn't in love with him, but has always known that she was in love with L, should have been A BIG CLUE to TN right then & there that Nathan was not going to be chosen.
And those that are saying the kiss was gross, inappropriate, etc. Would not be saying that if it had been between her & Nathan. This kiss was 3 years worth of built-up passion & longing that couldn't be fulfilled until E let Jack truly go. Of course, he'll always be in her heart, but she needed to move on from that part of her life, because JACK IS NOT COMING BACK, no matter how many people think he's gonna return from the dead, and to move on to the next chapter of her life, which is with Lucas, whom she's built a friendship, courtship, & relationship with over the last 3 seasons. For those people that have not seen that, that's all on you, not on the writers. The writers have built a beautiful love story, that almost rivals her love story with Jack in some ways, & those that can't accept the outcome of Elizabeth's choice of Lucas, need to just get over it! Quit putting down the show & the writers & giving this episode & season bad reviews! That is so lame & petty & childish. Stop ruining the show for other people who still like this show (whether they liked her pick or not) & don't ruin Season 9 for us, as we can't wait to see this beautiful love story continue to unfold. I hope & pray that you'll go back with fresh, "Nathan-free" eyes & see the love story being built like we have & that'll you'll be there with us when Season 9 starts to experience the love story of Elizabeth & Lucas with us. 😊
Saved by the Bell: The College Years (1993)
I LOVE this show!
I just got the DVDs and although I've only gotten through the first 4 episodes so far, I am finding it so funny and so enjoyable to watch! I was watching it last nite after everyone else had gone to sleep and I had to keep covering my mouth because I was laughing so much, I didn't want to wake anyone up! I think the last time I watched this show, I was 10-11, and I can't believe it's been almost 15 years since this show was on! Reading some people's comments, I think the people who don't like it and criticize it are the ones who have just watched the show now, as an adult, but growing up watching it and watching it now, especially after I've been through college, and can relate to the characters in some ways, it really is a great show and I wish there were more shows on today like it that kids could watch. I'm sure I have a lot more to say, but not exactly sure how to put it into words, but I'll end with how much I love this show and have been enjoying watching it and I'm so glad I have the Wedding In Las Vegas movie that I can watch as soon as I'm done with the series. Shame the show couldn't have lasted longer to see how Zack and Kelly got through college as a young, married couple. Although, I'm sure they made it through just fine! :)
The Prince & Me II: The Royal Wedding (2006)
Not good, but not horrible-Luke is worth watching
I agree that the movie wasn't that good, but it wasn't horrible. I felt like it was just a game of cat and mouse between the two female leads (Paige and Kiersten) and some parts were really corny, but I did find myself laughing at some parts and enjoying it. I don't think the chemistry between the two leads was as bad as everyone is saying. Yes, Julia and Luke had WAY MORE chemistry than Kam and Luke did, but it wasn't terrible. I, too, however, found myself cringing at the actors who didn't even resemble the cast from the original. I thought Paige's parents looked too old and Hispanic to be her parents. Soren, however, wasn't bad, but definitely not as good as the original. It was fun to see Eddie and Paige getting married, but other than that, I don't think there was any real point for making a sequel. That's why they have "Happily Ever After" after fairy tale movies is because the couple live happily ever after and there's nothing we need to worry about. Anyways, I fortunately didn't spend a penny on this movie. I borrowed it from a girl on my hall who rented it, but I say that if you MUST see it, rent it, don't buy. Luke really did make the movie worth watching, I think, but it's not worth it to buy it.
High School Musical (2006)
Great!
I am a 22 year old college student and I was able to watch High School Musical and I have to say that I was smiling from ear to ear the entire time while I was watching it. I have watched and enjoyed other Disney Channel Original Movies, but none of them have ever made me just want to get up and dance, like this one, obviously because there's singing and dancing, but the actors were great and the music really went along with the story line and wasn't just thrown in there or something to make this a musical. I first noticed Zac Efron on "Summerland" and always thought he was so cute. When I saw the commercial for High School Musical starring Zac, I knew I had to check it out and I did and was very pleased. Zac is a wonderful singer and I think I enjoyed him the most throughout the movie. Not just because he's cute, but because he really can sing and dance, oh, and play basketball. The soundtrack looks awesome and I hope to get it soon. If you're 12 or 25, DO NOT be embarrassed to watch this movie. Just sit back and enjoy! I have it on tape and will plan on watching it whenever I can in my college dorm!
