Single All the Way (2021)
Bland
I thought this movie might actually be good, I like the main actor and we've seen many movies with the exact same plot.
I just thought the two main characters lacked any on screen chemistry, it just didn't feel believable that these two people would like each other. A miss for me.
There's Someone Inside Your House (2021)
Meh
I loved the music, there was something initially exciting about this film. The first half was good.
There were too many classic attempts at misdirection which clearly showed who the killer was from the get go.
I was hoping for it to be a bit surprising but it really wasn't.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
1 point better than the first
Okay the reason I saw this was because everyone was banging on about how good this was in comparison to the first one.
I enjoyed the first one. The trailer for the second looked terrible, so to see what all the fuss was about I had to watch it.
There were some funny and unexpected moments that I actually did like.
I can't put my finger on what was missing.
Margot Robbie is definitely the star of the show.
The Wrong Missy (2020)
One of the worst movies i've ever seen
Please don't believe people who are saying this is good.
She is cringe, he is about 50 times her age.
There is no chemistry and they are not a believable couple.
This is not funny at all.
Nobody (2021)
Meh
If you're into just pure action and guns with little story line, this is for you.
Home alone had 2 robbers with various traps that made the film funny because we liked the characters. The traps in this are just various bombs killing characters that no one cares about. Plenty of kills in this movie but so many people that we just don't care about.
I admit I did like the bus fight scene.
Overall, forgettable.
Elevator (2012)
Boring, no story line.
There is absolutely no story line. Random bunch of people on their way to some party get stuck on a lift with someone who has a bomb.
Most of the characters have nothing to do with the main story and are added for boring drama.
The ending? Was that an ending?
Don't expect to have your socks blown off guys.
Catfish UK (2021)
Better than reviews
This is really not that bad, it's pretty much exactly the same as the US version but with different presenters - the real reason people are salty about the UK version.
It does come across a little more contrived, 'oh we've just got an email', no you haven't, we know the producers have picked out every story line and email.
The show really needs to pick more tragic and obviously catfish cases to be better perceived - after all, people watching are looking for a juicy catfish drama, they aren't looking for happy couples.
There are no excuses for the UK population being different to the US, there are many crazies in the UK, head to the north.
A Perfect Enemy (2020)
Meh
I mean the acting was okay but the storyline and 'twists'....
I wouldn't bother watching it.
A bit of a pointless movie.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw (2021)
Predictably boring
The twist was terrible. There was absolutely no misdirection whatsoever so you could guess the twist as soon as the character was introduced.
As for the traps, they weren't saw traps.
Not a single trap allowed the person to have a choice at any life, the alternative to the death choice would be to be catatonic.
The best part was the final scene.
Mortal Kombat (2021)
Underwhelming but still addictive
Kano - star of the show
Sonya & all other characters - Serious & one-dimensional
For any true Mortal Kombat fan, where were the costumes?!?!
I don't want originality i want the costumes we all know and love.
It was a little style over substance.
Why is Sonya killing someone with her special move instead of her kiss of death?
Freaky (2020)
Boring
I was hyped for this movie but to be honest it's pretty bad. The acting is terrible. None of the main characters have any charisma to carry the film.
The Craft: Legacy (2020)
Average
This wasn't as bad as people are describing it to be, but it wasn't memorable. A lot of bits that are started and not finished. The villain? Laughable. Did they blindfold someone to pick it?
The Witches (2020)
Not memorable
It's not a bad movie, it's just not a good one. The focus seems more on special effects than plot and comedy.
I remember being slightly scared of the witches in the first movie, this movie didn't evoke any emotion in me.
Fractured (2019)
Please don't trust the reviews
Really bad film that dragged on. Twist? Where?
Can't believe I trusted all those good reviews for an hour and 40 minutes of my life I will never get back.
Fantasy Island (2020)
The worst.
I really don't know why i listened to the good reviews, save yourself two hours.
The first 30 mins were okay and then it just got rediculous and dragged. The ending was pure cheese.
A Perfect Murder (1998)
Juicy
Juicy, full of twists and turns, never boring. Give it a watch.
The Hustle (2019)
When i finally gave the film a chance
Totally underated film! Lots of funny moments. Hathaway's accents throughout are hilarious.
Rebel Wilson is good as always.
I admit from the trailer and looking at it you wouldn't have though that those two would work well together but i take it back.
Aquaslash (2019)
Not a slasher movie.
This isn't a slasher as most of the deaths in this are from a tampered waterpark slide.
This is one hour and eleven minutes of my life i will never get back.
The Crush (1993)
Worth a watch.
Good acting from Alicia silverstone at such a young age & Cary Elwes. Both showing off their good looks in an interesting 90s film.
I liked that they played on a woman being the seductress and villain as i feel like in this modern day and age women are never set as the villain.
If anything i'd have liked the film / ending to be more sinister, happy endings do tend to be forgettable.
Jumanji: The Next Level (2019)
Didn't get it, not a good follow up.
I didn't get this movie. There were a few funny bits at the start but it wasn't as funny as the first. It seemed more like a sequel was wanted to be made rather than an interesting set of characters and stories.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
A good watch.
I must admit that i thought this movie was going to be bad as a lot of remakes i've seen have been, especially when they story is changed like this one. I actually enjoyed this more than the original movie.
I liked the random humour & slapstick. The characters were much funnier in the game.
I Am Not Okay with This (2020)
Bingeworthy
Short episodes, never boring.
A nice balance of drama, powers and awkwardness.
I really enjoy the awkwardness and relatable ness of end of the f world.
If anything I'd want them to put more of the awkwardness into season 2 of this.
I found series 2 possibly better than series 1 when talking of end of the f ing world.
Exam (2009)
Eye roll
Why all the good reviews?
I admit the film started well, a big build up for nothing. Massive anti-climax. I mean i enjoyed the acting, but let's be real, people wouldn't get as angry in an exam as some of these characters did.
The fact that the answer and question was 'Any questions?' Was just the worst idea.
Knives Out (2019)
Boring
Reviews are so good for such a boring film. Missed the mark.
Too many famous actors, no convincing roles.
Happy Death Day (2017)
Yes!
I saw the trailer and knew I had to watch it.
I've always loved slasher movies so liked the twist idea of mixing it with Groundhog Day.
The movie lived up to my expectations and I even paid to watch it twice at the cinema.
I don't want to spoil anything in the movie so I just recommend you watch it.
Note, I didn't enjoy the second movie.
