Silence... Can You Hear It? (2021)
Underrated, Engaging but not suspenseful
Among all of these negative reviews and critical comments, there are many good things about this film. The writing is so brilliantly detailed which reminds me of Agatha Christie Books , the storyline is engaging enough to grab your attention throughout the film and Manoj Bajpai's decent and seamless performance is the highlight! Even though the narrative lacks suspense and its in fact predictable "Silence: Can You Hear It" is a an enjoyable one time watch!
Haseen Dillruba (2021)
Don't hesitate to Watch
I watched it twice and I loved quite everything about it, From the writing which is consistent, suspenseful and interesting, the screenplay that changes from a family drama with a bit of comedy to a well written murder mystery, to actings and character development specially Vikrant Massey's character!
Khuda Haafiz (2020)
DESERVED A THEATRICAL RELEASE
Although the film itself has an enthralling premise one of the most memorable aspects of the film is vidyut Jammwal's outstanding and stellar performance ,he smoothly showcased emotional moments as well as performing action scenes to put forth his career's best performance.
Khuda Haafiz has a focused narrative and develops the story line without unnecessary subplots and brilliantly presents the ups and down a common man have to face with in a foreign country specially since he is not a trained fighter, unlike other bollywod action thrillers.
the set design is aesthetically pleasing and beautiful and the music is praiseworthy even though it went unnoticed by the masses.
Yaara (2020)
Ruined by the execution
Even with the appreciated twist and turns of the script and the vision the director had in mind, this film lacks consistency and the incoherent journey to reach to the surprising elements of the script due to the bizarre editing makes it a boring watch and ruins it even with the above average performances done by the cast.the styling and production design is applaudable for bringing a vintage quality to the film but it could have been engaging if it hadn't been edited so poorly
The Outsider (2020)
Only the first 2 episodes are enagaing
Unnecessarily dragged and boring, the first two episodes grab your attention but then the plot just gets dragged, the last episode is illogical, all over the place and amateurly filmed
Ateet (2020)
It's everything but Thriller
This film is annoyingly slow paced and reveals nothing scary or thrilling until the second half which made me bored and uninterested.
Ateet lacks good direction and writing,it is inconsistent and the only thing which made me watch this till the end was the beauty of the locations.
Mrs. Serial Killer (2020)
Compelling premise on paper ruined by below average performances and some out of place aspects
The only good thing about this film is its premise.the story line is interesting enough to engage the audience throughout.however, the visual representation and representing out of place locations like over the top rooms that look like a scene from a Si-Fi movie along with below average performances specially from Jacqueline Fernandez side who is struggling to grab the audience attention with her acting ability doesn't leave a good impact.
Mrs.Serial killer is unintentionally funny and it doesn't know what genre it is since its presented as a thriller but the overall execution comes across as a comedy.
Bypass Road (2019)
Suspenseful,Unpredictable and Engaging
Bypass road is purposely confusing to keep the audience engaged throughout with its unique way of revealing the story.Neil Nitin Mukesh is extremely smooth with his performance and dialogue delivery as an actor and he also did a brilliant job in writing the twist and turns of a thriller script.however the first half of the film seems unnecessarily dragged and tedious.overall,Bypass road is an enjoyable exciting one time watch
Ghost (2019)
I only watched because of Vikram Bhatt but it disappointed me.
As a fan of horror movies in general, this film failed to impress me even though I was excited to watch it and I expected more from the director since he is definitely comfortable with this genre. However,Ghost lacks originality and offers nothing new.
The performances are also forgettable but the story itself is compelling yet not thickened enough.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (2019)
Extremely effective,Shockingly Impressive and compelling
This film mainly focuses on Ted bundy's relationship with his girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer and knowing the fact that this is from her perspective makes things a bit more scary.
Zac Efron was the perfect choice for this role since he is charismatic enough to portray how manipulative Ted Bundy was when it came to his relationships with other people.Efron is so convincing and smooth with his performance and dialogue delivery that it somehow made me believe in the character's innocence and I somehow found myself even sympathizing with him !
so the missing point is to keep your guards up since the murderers aren't always recognizable or don't have the most horrifying looks
Wreckers (2011)
BITTERSWEET
A quiet, peaceful, slow paced yet interesting drama which portrayed the bittersweetness of life beautifully and made me cry, disgusted and relaxed throughout.
At first It appears pretty normal but it is way darker than you may expect simply because its somehow about human nature, untold stories and lies!
The rustic and Christian vibe of the film mixed with great soundtracks and outstanding performances were very impressive.
I am a Cumberbatch fan and I think he's done a perfect job doing the justice to the character.
All the positive aspects aside, wreckers is a very calming film which you might want to fall sleep to
Doctor Strange (2016)
Deeper than I thought it would be
I watched Doctor strange recently only because of Cumberbatch but the movie managed to surprise me with its deep and amazing dialogues ,phenomenal action and enjoyable story!Benedict's performance was the strong point of the film and he undoubtedly nailed it
Spoiler alert!
The scene in which the ancient one was talking about death was so thoughtful
The Curse of La Llorona (2019)
Pretty Good
I genuinely think this movie wasn't as bad as some reviews say it was ! the overwhelming amount of jump scares might be a con but for a horror movie it was entertaining and well written
Veerey Ki Wedding (2018)
WORST MOVIE OF THE DECADE
I'm speechless like how actors and producers and so many other people agreed to work on such stupid horrible and awful script!! it was just horrible and cheesy ! this movie is a disgrace to Bollywood and cinema in general!!
Mary Queen of Scots (2018)
Quite interesting and very enjoyable
I can't believe people are criticizing this movie strongly and calling it "historically inaccurate" just because of the fact that Mary and Elizabeth never met but they fail to see accurate costumes , fabulous performances , captivating story line and inspiring dialogues to empower women
Night School (2018)
Better than I expected BUT
I expected night school to be awful but overall, It was funny and entertaining HOWEVER it made my cringe a lot and there were so many wrong things with so many scenes. I do recommend this movie only if you want to laugh and get inspired a tiny bit! there's nothing to wow you
Jalebi (2018)
BOLLYWOOD IS FINALLY STEPPING AWAY FROM CLICHE
This movie is very well written with engaging storyline and absolutely outstanding script , decent performance and touching music ! the true meaning of love is flawlessly portrayed which made me tear up during various scenes and it got even more emotional towards the end. This is what Bollywood should focus on instead of same old happy endings or even cliche tragedies! don't even hesitate to watch such amazing underrated love story .
Time Freak (2018)
A wake up call for me personally
I wasn't sure about this film but as soon as I watched it I found it very helpful in terms of reminding me it's okay to be imperfect as a human and we don't need to be in control of every single situation. as we improve, learn and grow we have to have our own flaws and it's a okay to make mistakes! not very scientific but brilliant and a awakening
A Star Is Born (2018)
Is it a good movie? yes ! Is it Oscar worthy? No
There is a Hindi version of this film "Aasiqui 2" which is relatively more Interesting! Lady gaga did very well considering it was her first film but I don't find anything so special about this film
Lust Stories (2018)
Nonsense
I got bored watching this movie! only focusing on problematic characters who try way to hard to figure out their relationship! so what?! what's the point?! total waste of time!
