This is an obsession, a kind of
agression with himself
It's the way he'll always be
He loves to rebel to go against his
ten commandments
For him, that's just being free.
And he always will get his thrills
the only way he knows how
Well it might make you frown
But he loves being that dove roaming
where he cares to go
To a state of mind that no one knows
Over there stands my angry angel
and he's shaking his head in disgrace
with me
Yeah over there stands my angry angel
And he's frowning like hell, but I'm
not feeling guilty
Over and over again, more and more for
the pain
To release himself from this shell
Time after time, you may glare at
him for the way he looks like
something drawn up from hell
But that's just his cover
from what is under it
All his imagination, his
passion for a creation
Which he has discovered
uncovered a world of
amazing sensations
his own little nation
I don't care,
I'm flying

Zombies Have Feelings Too You Insensitive Asshole! (2006)
What A Wonderful Feel-Good Movie
I gotta be honest with you, until I caught this beautiful film I had always thought the worst of zombies. A typical zombie movie consisted of all of them being brain eaters, we-want-to-kill-the-living types, and in the end the 'good' guys always won out over the 'bad' guys-this consisted of a million different ways of killing zombies, from the usual bullet through the brain to more spectacular screwdrivers in the ears or setting on fire or shoving hand grenades in the mouth/ass/sternum types of killings. Until recently, I found that enjoyable and entertaining. *************************SPOILERS*************************** I know I checked the Spoilers box up there, but I really wanted to make sure no one read this because they need to see this movie spoiler free. I loved, LOVED the beginning-the director was a master at taking the viewer's feelings down that roller coaster ride by first showing past clips of the usual killings zombies go through and getting you all excited, then showing a zombie crying, alone, in the desert. Now at first you're skeptical, because you think "Oh, he's crying because he has no one to eat." But that's what the director wants you to think at first. Once that montage is shown of what's constantly looping through his brain it becomes apparent that the zombie misses his friends, his old life, his dog, his 8 track player, and his first girlfriend's pink lacy panties. Those panties come back later in the movie to haunt him. You really feel the struggle this zombie feels as he stumbles towards civilization, you really begin to understand the sheer feeling of emptiness and being cut off from everything, and how it makes this zombie even worse off than he was before. It becomes very obvious that the confusion over where he's at and how he got there is playing tricks on his mind; he begins to develop some pretty severe paranoia. The whole thing is so sad, so hard to watch, it put zombies in a whole different perspective. I mean by the time he reached the outskirts of a city and came across that little girl, I was rotting.....um, I mean rooting for him to just get a bite to eat. I was yelling at the screen "For goodness' sake zombie, you deserve it! Look at what all you've been through!" And I watched in utter satisfaction and contentment as he ripped her head off with no warning and began gnawing through her skull. I was as proud as a new mama seeing him fulfill himself when he'd been denied for so long. At the end, when the zombie's tally whacker fell off while he was.....uh.....thinking.....about his girlfriend's pink lacy panties, I cried. That was it for me. I just couldn't hold it in any longer. The shock of realizing that because zombies are dead that means body parts fall off after a while was too much to take. As a viewer who felt sympathy for this zombie's plight, I felt absolutely horrible by this time. Hadn't this poor guy suffered enough??
One of the best parts of this movie was the fact that you never knew the zombie's name; the writers made it very clear that the viewer was to become attached to this zombie through his own personal feelings and not because his name was brought up over and over again. If I knew more about the film making industry and the proper terms to use I'd be able to get my point across better, but as it is I can plainly see both the journey this zombie takes and how the writers/director wanted us to see it, and how they didn't. I got it. I can see some influence from the character of Bub from Day of the Dead (1985) in this wonderful movie. It's so deep on so many levels, you just have to see it to believe it. Keep a lot of tissues handy during this one, folks. I look forward to Zombies Have Feelings Too, You Insensitive Asshole! part 2.

Jarhead (2005)
It was okay
Really kept wondering when the plot would reveal itself. I'm not much for action movies but love the war films FMJ and especially Platoon, and kept thinking there was a plot somewhere in here. It was interesting to see what happens when just a bunch of guys are around-I kept asking my husband "is that REALLY how they talk?" and he would say "yep" lol Why men feel the need to constantly curse and refer to everyone's private parts is a mystery to me, lol! This movie is good enough to watch once IMHO, but will disappoint if you were looking to continue in the tradition of good war movies. The acting was good though. Didn't know much about Jake G. but after seeing this I have decided I like him. Next up, Brokeback Mountain!
Satanic (2006)
NOT worth the time
I agree with the previous poster's assessment of this movie, plus I'd like to say that I don't even have the added interest of seeing some of these other actors that I knew before like she did. This movie was very poorly written and very poorly acted, with cheesy effects (which I usually love) and directing. At one point one of the characters actually refers to a she as a "he" and they either didn't catch it in editing, or just didn't care. Either way, it's truly not worth the time, money or effort to bother renting it, unless you're in a film class or something that watches movies like this on purpose so you can pick apart everything wrong about it.
The Gift: A Look Inside (2001)
Ribisi's acting skills
The plot of this movie was pretty standard. In fact there really wasn't anything in this movie that was surprising. But the acting was absolutely spectacular. I lived in a tiny east Texas town for half my high school days, and let me tell you, H.S. and K.R. were pretty dead-on. The absolute jewel (no pun intended)in this movie was Ribisi, who was cast in what has become in this day and age of severely jaded movie-goers a "typical" role with a "typical" childhood ("typical" meaning we've all seen it before, not in the sense that it's happened to all of us specifically) and turned it into an Oscar-worthy performance. The script was written well too, and skillfully led to the backyard scene that had never brought me to tears before when confronted with this "typical" storyline in any other movie. All in all, a movie worth seeing if for no other reason than to see Buddy's story, and Ribisi's acting it.
