Honey (2003)
Predictable
After seeing this movie for 5 min I could predict exactly that was going to happen in it and I was completely correct.
28 Days Later... (2002)
Starts ok, but I dont like where the movie goes.
It starts with some really good atmospheric shoots with him vandering an empty London. But then when he meets the two survivers they say that the infection has started throughout the whole earth. I immediately question this because when you get infected you turn almost directly. So how are then the infection accidently taken to other partsof the world. The characters later in the movie also question this and it turns out that its only England that is affected.
When the Black Girl kills her companion when she suspects he is affected by the look in his eyes, I think that is kind of stupid. She could have just waited a few seconds and she would have known.
But the thing that made me dislike the movie was when they meet the military men. All that happens when they are there is boring and stupid. Firstly the men dont act like military men. They dont seem to have any training when they shoot at the zombies and dont act any professional at all. Then they seem to have lost all hope and are whiling to kill each other because of a girl. It has gone like a month since the outbreak. I have a hard time even when it seems to them that society had collapsed that they would act this desperate and strange. One last thing I remembered. When they escape from the city through the tunnel, the zombies follow them. Then they just stop when they are abit far away from them, like they are thinking "we cannot run to them and catch them, they are driving to fast, lets stop runing". Smart zombies. :)
Interstellar (2014)
Awesome!
I walked into the theadere with no expectations. I had seen no trailers and did not know what the movie was about...and I realy liked it. It stats abit slow, but then Philip Glass like music starts and create a unforgettable atmosphere. The biggest surprise for me was when Matt Deamon turns up, which I liked and acts kind of illogical, but it works. The movie makes you start to question things.
Lost (2004)
I never got into it.
I never got into this series. It feels like its mysterious for the mysterys sake. The series puts in a lot of strange and mysterious things that when you think of it dont make sense and never gets a good explanation or one at all.
Back to the Future Part II (1989)
Awesome movie but I was thinknig...
I was thinking... When it comes to the magazine with all the winners... Should it not become obsolete very quickly? Because by just winning, Biff should change the future. Especialy when he wins big as he does and everybody knowing about it. Players might fight more when Biff is not beting on them or fight less when he is and this might affect the outcome. :)
Yellowbeard (1983)
On paper it looks awesome, but the execution is mediocre
I accedently found this movie and saw that it was a comedy with pirates in it and alot of awesome comedians where in it. This looked awesome and why had I never heard of this movie before.
The movie is kind of "Meh". Not boring but not that funny. It has like 2-3 good jokes and it feels like many thing just runs dry. It has some strange turns and it feels like many characters is not used to their full potential. This movie has several rape jokes and I feel that thats something that is not as okey to joke about today which is intresting.
A Quiet Place (2018)
I did not really like it.
Seeing this movie I got my thoughts on the movie Signs with Mel Gibson. It also took place on a american farm with hostile aliens/creatures. This movie like Signs had a silly solution to hove to defeat the aliens/creatures which someone MUST have found out earlier when the aliens/creature arived.
Other then that it was alot of small things I got irritated on. The family did not seem to have done everything they can to not make sounds. They had alot of wooden floorboards. Then we have the waterfall. Why dont they live there? It seems alot more safe. Come to think about it it seems that the creatures dont care about natural sounds. Is this something that you can simulate? Can you get them to get used to a unnatural sound if you for example put on a loadspeaker with high music or will they always go to that. If they always go for unnatural sounds why not just put on a really load speaker at a few dangorus places and alternate which are playing and let them run around that :)
The Hole (2009)
Kind of normal horror themed movie.
Kind of normal horror theme. Kids find and accidently released a ancient horror that hunts them. Its ok. The thing I found stupid in this movie was the old man Carl. He had lived at the house with the hatch and had locked it. Then he kinds of leave it like that moves away to adifferent part of the city. He dont really hides the hatch and leaves the keys in a box just next to the hatch. He is then angry at the kids for opening the hatch and blame them for releasing the evil. This part is kind of stupid and feel like a cheap way to get the story to start. This made me lose interest in the rest of the movie when I was seeing it.
Lexx (1996)
As a kid I was confused, but fascinated with this series.
This series I always though was something special. I have not seen anything as this before or since. I would not say that everything is great in this series, but its very fascinating and different. You never knowe what to expect and you often think, "wtf is happening". I like this series, but I can se people just think its strange.
Star Trek: Voyager (1995)
Loved this as a kid, but disliked the ending.
I loved this series as a kid. I watched it all. But I feel the whole series was destroyed in my eyes by the bad and boring ending.
Doctor Who (2005)
Awesome Series
I love it! Fun monsters, surprisingly brutal, makes no sense, contradicts its established rules and itself and with alot of deus ex machina. One thing that put me of was the character intrigues of all the humans in the first two seasons. I found it so boring, idiotic and I have a hard time seeing people having these intrigues during that time under those circumstances.
Spartacus: Gods of the Arena (2011)
The best Spartacus season.
The other seasons are great but I like this the most. I think it has the best parts from the first season. It only has the gladiator fighting intrigs which I liked the most from the first season and a ending that is so epic, with some good twists.
I also think that the fight choreography in this series is the best, with some of the most epic fights.
Next (2007)
Is that really the best future he could have done...?
Having this concept in a movie where a person can se abit into the future and therfore should be able to get the best possiable outcome, at least in the short run makes me question everything he does in the movie and think that there must have been a better choice. When you think about it he should be able to crack any code or answer any question even if he dont know the answer. He just ses what random noise gives the answer. Several times during the movie I though that he must have seen a better future in a different action that the one he just did. Like the time in the casino where he just clumsy pushed the robber, or in the attack at the end where he let several agents die where he must have been able to get them to survive. This thinking got me to not be able to fully enjoy the movie.
Then we have the leader of the agency who is searching for the bomb who just happens to se his fancy work in the casino and instantly thinks that he can read the future and puts all resources into finding him because he "definitely" is the key to finding the bomb. I am surprised that anyone listens to her and that she can keep her job.
Saw (2004)
Im surprised that his plan worked.
When I saw this movie I stated to realy think about som details in the plot, which made me dont really like it. Its mostly the ending where one of the guys saw of his foot and the other is left to die. But he did not need to do that and the other guy will most likely be found. The excop where chasing the though "mastermind" in a dangerous car chase to that location. It will have been noticed and the police should find the cars and find the others after that. So when the "climatic" ending happend I was not movied and just though how unnecessary it was.
Alien: Covenant (2017)
It started out well, but I got bored when a large part of the characters started doing stupid things.
I am not a big Alien fan, but I had a go watching this. I think it started out well, but I lost intrest and started looking at my phone during the movie( this is something I rarily do. I am easy absorbed into a movie). The turning point for me was when they had landed on the planet and two in theri crew started geting sick. I feel that almost every character in this movie are making stupid decisions and geting themself killed. This include:
-Lets walk around on this new planet which we dont know anything about very uncarefully and smell at strange plants.
-Lets trust this strange robot we found on this planet. Especially when we know he is hidding something and follow him into his basement and look at his large eggs. Also not get suspicus when he cuts his hair so he looks exactly as our own robot.
-Splitt up at the temple when we know that a monster can be out to kill us.
-When we get back to the ship, not quarantine every person that was on that planet and scan them, even though we know that some persons got a alien bursting out of their stomach.
The Walking Dead (2010)
The series has its up and downs
I started watching season 8 and the problem with it for me is that its just OK. The intrigs was not done in a way that made them that intresting. One of the problem was that season 7 was one of the best in the series and when you come from that to season 8, its just meh.
But thinking of it, I have always had problems with the walking dead series. I saw bits of season 4-5 on the TV when they where showing it and though that it was kind of good. I started watching and think that season 1-3 is not that good. They have realy good parts, but the intrigs between many of the characters is in my opinion is cheap. Then after that I think it got good, but still had intrigs that for me at least I just had to sit through to get to the intresting parts. I am not saying that all I want is action, because I think that the "all out action" parts in the later seasons arent that good. I like the "slow action part" when they are a smaller group out in some dangoures place with alot of dialog.
One last part. I think that the series had in a good way made the world feel realistic, but the garbadge larp group in the later series...I dont buy that group. I cant think of a realistic way that someone can become like them in a apocalypse.
The Road (2009)
I remember finding this movie kind of boring
I could not connect to this movie because I did not buy the story and the conflicts. There is a great focus on cannibalism and the lack of food, because everything is basically dead. I don't buy that basically everybody is driven to cannibalism. In the real world even in times of great need, the cases of cannibalism is very few. I don't think people give up and end it with suicide that often either. People tend to stick together in groups because that increases the chance of survival. No one in the film seems to be a survival expert in the movie, because I can see food everywhere in the forest.
The Lobster (2015)
One of the best movie experiences I had in a while
I recommend seeing this like I did. I had not seen any trailer or heard anything about this movie. My brother recommended it and said I should not look up anything because then I had no expectations and no knowledge of the plot which would make it surreal. The experience was surreal and fantastic. I liked that nothing was explained and I had no idea what was happening. It really gets you to think about relationships and social interactions. I would say I liked the first half better then the second half. The second half I think at times slows down to a halt.
Get Out (2017)
I have a hard time buying it.
Don't get me wrong. I think this movie is good, but when some people in a movie ha some kind of secret scheme I always get stuck thinking of it a lot and I cant see them doing this scheme a lot and get away with it.
They seem to take the victims to the same house and have the same names. I cant see the police and family not find them with all the strange disappearances with Rose, which seems to be around the same area. There must be a lot of evidence. For example mobilphones or friends and family knowing that they are going away. You could of course argue that no one has disappeared and they can just say that they have chosen to be where they are. But their shift in personality I think family or others would think that something is wrong.
Ils (2006)
It OK
When I saw This movie I though it was OK, but got worse the more you stared to know of what was happening. I started to think about everything around the movie. They live in Romania in a gigantic house. She is a teacher and I cannot think she makes that much especially if you look at the cat they own. The husband is a writer. For this to work he must be a fairly successful writer. His death must be some fairly large news because of this. I wonder what type of books he writes. His fans must be cruised by his death. His books popularity must rise after this death. The books will be debated for a long time. Especily if he was writing a series and wasn't finished.
On a second note. The kids are ridiculously good at sneaking.
Stranger Things (2016)
One of the best series I have seen I a good while
This is a really good series with a nice plot, great atmosphere and good characters.
When I see this type of series some thoughts about strange things in the series comes and I have a hard time to stop thinking of them. In the first series when Barb disappeared, why did not anybody, like Nancy, suspect Jonathan for this. He had been acting very strangely and was at the scene at the time Barb disappeared. This seems to me like a logical why to think, but it is never brought up in the series.
In the second season I have a bit more complaints. I like it overall and the last two episodes are really good especially. Elevens side plot feels disconnected, not that fun to watch and episode seven feels like it destroys the flow of the series. Also the ending of season one don't feel that great anymore because she escapes almost immediately and where not really in any harm. She then returns towards the end of season two almost like a deus ex machina. Sad that they give her only like two scenes with the other kids. Its like they don't know what to do with her and they don't want to have her in the picture at first because she can solve the problem. I wonder why Hopper Never think about this. I also feel that the kids don't really do much in this series except towards the end. Hopper and Wills mom are the heroes in this one.
After the end of season one I feared that the second season would not be as good, because how could you continue now when you know so much about eleven and you know about the upside-down. Could you really have the same mystery horror? If you tried to expanded more about the upside- down, could that make it more good and interesting or make it worse and possibly ridicules? I think they did it good in the new season, but they did not explain or expand the upside-down really. Its just some large unknown treat which they don't go into any detail. I think that was kind of meh.
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
The real villain is someone else
Seeing this movie and episode 1 & 2 I think the real reason for the Jedi orders fall is Mace Windu. He is such an asshole and hypocrite. He is the reason everything goes bad. He is such an asshole to Anikin. Lets him be in the council but do not get full membership, says the line "If what you say is true you will have regained my trust". No other council member seems to really do anything about this. The Jedi deserved it.
Also, to bad for Anikin that Obi-Wan is a master of fighting from high ground.
Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002)
Just boring
I saw this movie at the premier and as it was then, it just was so boring. Not even the end battle was that interesting. I am the kind of viewer where small details can win me over or really annoy me when it comes to movies. This movie has several details that really annoy me. Two times in the film does a person die in another persons arms. In both instances it just such big luck that they survive to just die when the other persons comes to them. Then it happening two times. Its just silly. Then towards the end of the movie when Anakin and Obi-Wan where following Count Doku they get to the platform where he jumped of and just when they both jumped of an enemy ship comes and destroys their ship, killing everyone except Obi- wan and Anakin which jumped of first, where the other did not have time to do this. Anakin and Obi-Wan don't even look back and comment this. Its just a so lucky and strangely convenient thing so that its just them, so they can have a sword battle.
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
I have mixed feelings for this movie
I saw this movie on the premier 1999 in Sweden. I was 12 years old. I still remember some of my though during and directly after the movie. "Yes trade is an important subject and I can see this being a thing that can cause dispute. But either Naboo is very bad diplomatically or the trade federation is very aggressive for it to come to arms". I did not think JarJar that bad, but I think he made the end battle where he is present rather silly. I remember thinking when the talk about midichlorians turned up that I was an idiot. How could I have missed this. It seemed like a natural thing that they just start talking about which made me think that obvious they must have talked about it in episode 4-6. I did not remember this, which made me an idiot. :P
Frozen (2013)
One of the greatest Disney movies
When I first saw this movie and Hans was introduced I was thinking it would be so awesome if Hans turns out to be a villain. He has everything to gain from the marriage. Then when Anna names him the leader of the city until Annas return, I was thinking that Hans must be a Villain. Why did not the "regency council" or whoever which obviously have ruled when the girls where small rule the city. They seems to have done a great job. They should really be against Hans taking control and they must feel that Anna is a bit ungrateful. I though it was awesome when in the end it turned out Hans was the villain. It fit so perfectly.
