New Amsterdam: Rise (2022)
The Helicopter Fell
I watched about one half of this episode and had to stop because I got so fed up with Fuentes being able to get away with everything. Then I watched "Castles Made of Sand" and was glad I had not deleted "Rise". I went back and finished watching it and was so glad to see the Helicopter fall on Dr. Romano (Fuentes). (Check out ER if you don't get it)
New Amsterdam: Truth Be Told (2022)
No More Fuentes, please.
I generally really like the show but the Fuentes "getting away with everything bit" is getting too long. It's becoming difficult waiting for her to pull a Romano and have a helicopter fall on her.
ER: Freefall (2003)
One Hell-of-a GREAT Show
Way too long in the coming but the wait was well worth it. It was even better than the helicopter tail rotor episode. One of the ER episodes that I have saved in my Direct TV DVR.
ER: Viable Options (2000)
The Problem with this Episode
This was a very moving episode, the only problem with it is that when binge watching "Viable Options" (2000), you know there are THREE MORE YEARS of shows before "Freefall" (2003).
Monk: Mr. Monk and the Actor (2006)
Why Tucci as Monk?
When I first saw this episode, 15 years ago, I knew it was a good one and having Stanley Tucci play the actor who was to portray Adrian Monk was brilliant. How did I know? All you had to do was watch BIG NIGHT to see how he and Tony Shalhoub would mesh.
And watching the wrestling scene in the auto dealership proved it.
NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Call of Silence (2004)
Guadalcanal
First off, how many people picked up on the significance of Yoshida saying "Iwo Jima, No... Guadacanal". Cpl. Yost was wounded on Gaudacanal and if he had NOT been, he wouldn't have met his Dorothy. And Yoshida had been fighting there.
Secondly, regarding the post, "Medal of Honor recipients", the poster commented that the episode produced some sweat around the eyes. I record this episode every time it is shown on any channel and every time I watch it, I cry. It was just on WE channel and my eyes are still wet.
Legends of Tomorrow: Phone Home (2017)
No Spoillers Here. Just a Flashback to Another Time.
I burst out laughing when Zari asked who "Billy Jo-El" is. The only other time I heard that was from Les Nessman. Of course he also gave us: Chi Chi (rhymed it with High High) ROD re gez, and Bouncy (Beyonce) Knowles. So the references to ET and Back to the Future were not the only time-slips here. And they were enjoyed.
