Conjuring: The Beyond (2022)
A different kind of paranormal film
No, this is not connected to "the Conjuring", I think that was a given, but I have to say this is at least different. I chuckle a little at all of the nods to classic films like "the Haunting", "bride of Frankenstein", and "nightmare on elm street". But you can tell that it was done in good fun.
If you can look past the obvious marketing tactic of using popular franchise word association, than I think you'll find this slow burn entertaining and at times a little hypnotic.
The acting is solid, the special effects punch above their weight class, and for the love of god at least we got something at least TRYING something different.
An Amityville Poltergeist (2020)
A different spin on the long tired "Amityville" knock offs
AN Amityville Poltergeist is something of an enigma. It's clear is was never intended to be an Amityville film, and it just had the title slapped on to sell to horror fans.
It's not great, and obviously extremely low budget, yet...it does have a different feel to it than some of the other cynically made "sequels" in the franchise. The movie is at least trying to be scary. It's trying to hold your attention. It's trying to be better than it is.
For all intents and purposes, I'd say it punches above its weight class.
A Haunting in Ravenwood (2021)
Neo-Gothic chiller!
If you're a fan of 50's inspired haunted house flicks you're in luck! This little indie horror film is clearly inspired by the works of William castle and Roger Corman.
Zombi 3 (1988)

Undead (2003)
What in the hell???????
six stars for this movie may have been to nice, through out this whole movie i had no clue what was going on, they still left me hanging even at the end. what was with the u.f.o.'s picking up all the people and cleaning them, or what happened to the guy when he went up into the u.f.o. ? why did he say he fought them off when in the end they became good guys? . plus there was no real good zombie feasting scenes good fighting scenes or good acting.......it just seemed cheesy and dumb..... and they seemed to try a little too hard to get laughs out of us......so ladies and non-ladies i give you my review for undead... After Death (Oltre la morte) (1989)
wow....wow...
this could be the lowest point in zombie movie history......not only did i have no clue what was going on....this movie had bad acting and little to no gore.......(except for the end...that guy getting riped apart was cool!!!! ) i mean what was up with that line...."there's nothing more a man in battle wants more then a woman by his side" was that supposed to make us sad or...no.......no don't get me wrong i love zombie movies.....but this left me hanging......other then zombie lake, zombie 5,redneck zombies, the dead hate the living, and hell of the living dead, this is at the bottom of the barrel...
