Too much too little

Too much time covered. The movie covers too much important history, leaves out too many details and concentrates instead on too many characters so none is covered enough. It's like watching 3-4 movies in one. Nice action. And as Emmerich told me once when presenting Independence Day: "Turn off your brain. Enjoy thee show - it's a popcorn movie." Super true for ID4 but not for Midway.

Very nice, heartbreaking film. A reminder that we shall never forget our past. A past that must not be repeated ever again - no matter what country and culture. The movie is also a sad reminder that we are repeating this very dark part of worlds history again. Please do not forget. Please remind yourself and your children of our history and the lessons we have to learn. So we do not repeat the monstrosities our grandparents endured or caused.

A really, really, really wonderful and emotional movie. I do really not care if it is historically accurate. Elton John made music that brings debth and love to your heart. I myself am more a rock and metal guy. But Elton's and Bernie Taupin's lyrics touch my heart and put a shiver down my back.
