The Challenge: USA (2022)
Get rid of the legends
I am so sick of watching these so called legends screw up every Challenge show. Geeeeeeze Louise, let someone else have a shot at it. I mean really - get over yourselves. It's ridiculous to watch season after season with the same tiring group of whiners trying to control the newbies. The fact that some of these "legends" have won multiple times and we have to listen to them rattle on and on and on about how they need the money ..... wahhh, wahhhhh, wahhhhhh. Give someone else an opportunity to win. Someone who might be better at managing their winnings. I hope if there is a next season, these whining legends won't be on it.
Extraction 2 (2023)
The A Team without a plot
If you're into shoot 'em up bumbling movies, this one is for you. What little bit of plot there is shows a dad that couldn't handle what was happening in his own life with his own family so he goes out to rescue someone else's family. It is very predictable as far as what will happen next. There are more bullets flying than dialogue. Not to mention the blatant computer generated scenes. Those are just beyond stupid. But back to the A Team scenario. With all the bullets that are flying, none of the main characters (good guys) get hit. And, none of the main characters (good guys) seem to be able to hit anything else. How this is getting high ratings is beyond me.
FUBAR (2023)
Wonderful series
I hate that people are giving this such low scores. It's obvious some just don't have a clue of what a good show is. Arnold out does himself. In fact , the entire cast is fabulous. The chemistry between all characters is amazing - something you don't see often these days. The show reminds me a lot of the movie "True Lies". In fact, Tom Arnold made a couple of appearances which took me back to the role he played in that movie. Don't listen to the naysayers. I'm glad I didn't. I would have missed out on one of the best series we've watched in a long time. My husband and I binged it and are both hoping season two is in the works. Bravo Netflix for giving us an all around fantastic series. Let's keep it going!
Top Chef: Finale (2014)
Nina got screwed
What a horrid season. I can't believe the judges gave the win to Nick. My question would be: who paid off the judges to get the win for Nick?. To listen to the judges talk to the contestants, they definitely praised Nina more. How in the world did Nick win this. Listening to Tom coax the other judges to Nick's side definitely makes me feel he was paid off. It's disgusting to watch a season where Nick constantly under seasoned and under cooked his meals and was in the bottom more than when he was on top compared to a season where Nina constantly shined thru her dishes and won several competitions throughout the season makes one wonder just how much money was passed under the table. I looked forward to watching the recap episode, but it wasn't included this season ..... another hmmmmmmmmm moment. I wanted to hear Tom defend his decision to sway the judges to what was obviously the loser to a winning position. Nina, we ALL know you were the true winner.
Harrow (2018)
Want more of this series
My husband and I loved this show. We're so hoping there's more seasons to come. The rapport between Harrow, Fairley and Grace is fabulous, fun and the chemistry between them all is hard to find in TV shows today. We in the United States are hungry for shows with storylines such as this and characters that just jump off the screen right into our living rooms. The writers, directors and cast do a great job of making a drama with a healthy mix of humor to make the characters believable and leave us wanting more. I haven't been this interested in a show since Boston Legal. The chemistry between the characters made this show a success too. We need more shows like this.
The Rig (2023)
The Fog meets Alien
This pretty much sums up the show. Eerie fog creeps across the ocean engulfing an oil rig in its mist. Accidents happen, chaos ensues, injuries occur and mysteriously heal, etc., etc. There's a whiner, a bully and a bunch of idiots on board the rig each trying to take charge. Meanwhile, communication has been cut off to the mainland causing more chaos, arguments and confusion. If you're watching with a crowd, a drinking game could be played every time someone states "something's not right!", but please have at least one designated driver. One would think after awhile they'd figure it out that things just aren't right. This would have made a decent 90 minute movie, but stretching it out into 6 episodes is ridiculously redundant.
The Crown: Queen Victoria Syndrome (2022)
Casting malfunction all around
I absolutely loved the previous seasons. Casting was spot on. I eagerly awaited this season, sat down with popcorn in hand to enjoy another fantastic binging of The Crown only to be thoroughly disappointed in the casting from the get go. The previous actresses portraying the queen looked and played the part fabulously. The queen this season looks like someone who belongs in a 1950's laundromat. Princess Diana of previous seasons again cast expertly. This Diana is lacking from the top of her hideous wig to the soles of her size 11 shoes. And in what universe is Prince Charles even somewhat handsome?? This season he looks as though he could be on the cover of GQ. It's very difficult to get as engrossed and excited with The Crown this season as I had been with all the previous seasons based on casting alone. We're there no other options available to play the main characters? Is it possible to hope for better choices in casting next season or are we stuck with these? I will continue to watch The Crown, but not as enthusiastically as I have in the past.
Virgin River (2019)
I thought Season 3 was bad ...
Season 4 is a WHINE fest. There's no plot just a bunch of whiners whining all the time. Jack is upset with Charmaine because he got her pregnant with twins. Mel gets upset with Jack and decides to go to the doctor and have her two frozen embryos from her deceased husband implanted. Jack and Mel makeup, then Mel springs on him the fact she's pregnant but doesn't know who the father is. Jack whines another several episodes about Mel wanting to know who the father of her child(ren) is. Mel whines at Jack because he should want to know too. All of this is just too much. Geeeeeeze Louise how much can we viewers take??? Somehow, thrown in with all this whining, Brady is arrested, Bree has been sexually assaulted by her ex coworker and moves in with Jack, Christopher gets kidnapped for most of the season, all the while more whining and no real action taking place. The one good scene of the season is when Charmaine admits to Jack she lied, the twins aren't his after all. That folks is the big cliff hanger for the season!!
Interceptor (2022)
Horrid take on an action film
This would be a great movie if it had better writing, better actors and better directors. Someone wanted to make an action film and failed every way possible. It's not even good enough to call it a comedy of errors.
Shining Vale (2022)
Good so far
The only issue I have is looking at Courtney Cox. She looks like a Stepford Wife gone bad in so many ways. Greg Kinnear is awesome in his role. I just wish they had cast someone else to play the role of Patricia.
Wolf Like Me (2022)
Waste of time
I couldn't get past the child bullying her parent. I would not allow any child to talk to or treat anyone as badly as the girl in this show treats adults. I couldn't get past the first show.
Lady of the Manor (2021)
Good concept, horrible movie
I was looking forward to a good comedy, but sadly, this isn't it. It could have been so much better with different writers and directors. I really tried to watch it, but just couldn't get past the stupidity.
Nisser (2021)
Can we say STUPID?!?
This is a perfect example of bad parenting and the consequences of it. Some little twit thinks she knows more than anyone and destroys several lives in the process. When she finally admits it's all her fault, her spineless mother gets mad at the town matron for agreeing with her for bringing chaos to the island. If you're looking for a laugh out loud "horror" show, this is it. I wish there was an option for negative star reviews. I'd have given this a -7.
The Many Saints of Newark (2021)
What does this have to do with The Sopranos?
Horrible waste of an hour and 50 minutes. The last 10 minutes got interesting, then poof, it was over. It had absolutely nothing to do with the series The Sopranos.
Ghosts (2021)
Not the best choice of actors
The people playing the ghosts are great. The ones playing the living people have no chemistry with each other or the camera. Would be a lot better with different cast members.
I Am Lisa (2020)
Pitiful. Comedy of so many errands
Acting is pathetic, special effects are laughable and there are just no words for the script. It's like watching a train wreck. You want to turn it off, but just keep watching it derail. Is it a werewolf, a vampire or a bad costume designer with oversized teeth and a lisp?
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
Great cast wasted talent on this one
If you're looking for a great movie, this isn't it. Just when you think it might get good, it takes another nose dive and then, it ends. It's like the writers just gave up or quit midstream. Production must not have gotten that memo prior to filming.
I Care a Lot (2020)
NEGATIVE 10 stars on this one
Don't bother with this one. Terrible plot. Sad thing is someone thought taking advantage of older people would be funny. Far from it.
