The first half of the movie is somewhat ok and had me intrigued but then it really turned itself upside down. It's like the last act was written and directed by someone else. Unfortunately, this seems to be a pattern for Netflix movies nowadays. It just didn't know what it wanted to be. The family drama felt out of place.

This Show Makes No Sense

Really tried to enjoy this show because I love Sebastian Yatra but this show makes no sense whatsoever. It's not even a fun hate watch. It's simply bad. It's like they just threw random scenes together. I keep thinking am I confused? But no it is just that bad. No me gusts nada.

Chris Rock is not made for this kind of movie. I just could not take him seriously trying to literally Act all serious while failing miserable at it. I kept thinking I am watching a Scary Movie sequel every time he opened his mouth.

And nothing wrong with that but I fail too understand what is so bad about where they live and want to get out of so desperately. It looks pretty, everyone is part of a community and no bad people around. It is basically a fairy tale story of songs, interrupted by an attempt of a storyline and about half an hour too long at that.
