Amadeus (1984)

Outstanding Film

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. The performances are powerful and the subject matter is compelling. It's one of those films that everyone should see at least once!

I watched this movie before visiting Vienna for the first time, and it really gives a sense of that period in history.

The Song (I) (2014)

A beautiful executed faith-friendly movie

I think this is one of the most well made Christian films I've ever seen. The acting is really good, and the photography is beautiful. Overall it's well directed, well edited, and the music and musical performances are a real treat. If you're looking for an inspiring, entertaining movie that's edifying without being cheesy, this is one you should check out. In my opinion this film is a notch above most other faith-based movies. Personally, I'd like to see far more high-quality faith-based movies like this one be made.

Let the Lion Roar (2014)

An outstanding movie!!!

"Let The Lion Roar" is a stunning film that addresses issues that many would prefer to leave covered up. It's a movie that you may want to watch more than once - I found that there's so much content to think through that you almost need to watch it 2 or 3 times to absorb it all.

I'm not surprised that there's a negative review here…this is a shocking movie, and it's bound to be offensive to some. There's always going to be that one person who trashes something just because they feel threatened by it! It's easy to pick holes when you want to undermine something. Don't let that sway you. This is a thought-provoking film that depicts a complex subject in a creative and entertaining manner.

I'm sure it's not for everyone, but for my family and I, this was an informative, edifying watch.

The Everlasting Covenant (2015 Video)

Very thought provoking

This is a really well thought out mini-series that helps people think through provocative theological questions. I like the interactive element of it, it's a great way to kick-start a conversation with a group of friends, a Bible study group, or your family. It helped me to think through some of my own positions, and I definitely saw an evolution in my thinking as I worked through the episodes. If you've been looking for some kind of in-home group study this is a really beautiful executed, well presented program.

Miracles from Heaven (2016)

Really enjoyable

I really enjoyed this faith-based film. Unlike so many other faith-based movies it felt really authentic...I didn't get the sense at any point that I was being manipulated as the audience, or that it was presenting the world simplistically, as so many other faith-based movies do. This film isn't afraid to tackle the tough questions of life, or portray someone who is struggling with their faith. The ending is very moving and uplifting, whilst remaining true to just how difficult life can be.
