Titanfall 2 (2016)
An overall excellent gaming experience that integrates fast-paced parkour into a fluid combat system, complete with giant mechs. What's not to love?
Having been a Titanfall veteran from the beginning, I was hesitant what they would do with a campaign, or the new titans, or pilots, or anything in general, but Respawn did not disappoint. The campaign, although short, tells a gripping story with many unique aspects put in that led me to play through the campaign more than once. The multiplayer, however, is even better. One of my favorite additions is sliding, which although doesn't sound like much on its own, makes the game's already excellent movement system even more fluid. All of the new abilities, the weapons, the grenades, all feel like real additions ad give one a lot more choice for finding the perfect play style than other games. And the titans... I originally thought only have 6 titans with limited customization was a bad idea, but upon using them, I find it to be much more fun, as you get to choose one that perfectly fits your play style, and also know how to deal with what you are going against. Overall, it is rare for a sequel to improve on the original in every way, but this is a rare exception. 10/10
The Amazing World of Gumball (2011)
I feel good knowing I grew up loving this show.
This is quite possibly my favorite show on Cartoon Network. From the excellent visuals to the clever humor to the well thought out plot, this show makes me love cartoons again, even as a teenager. I, of course, also love other Cartoon Network shows, but this one consistently comes out on top for me. I just find it somewhat sad that they do nothing but air mediocre, immature, and overall foolish shows such as the immensely popular Teen Titans GO!. It shames me to think of that. Luckily, they still air this several times a day, although I don't watch TV very often. (In fact, the only reason I was watching this was because I was visiting a relative.) Well played, Cartoon Network, keep going with the original content!
