Gold Coast Lounge (2020)
Insightful and
Capturing an era as this is always tough but they pulled it off quiet beautifully. Great cast, beautiful visuals, neat write up and a decent depiction of African identity. Gold Coast Lounge is now entering my good books for African movies. Adjetey Annan doing what he does best... ACTING! Great movie.
Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)
A great write-up with a befitting visuals
Impressive write up with matching cinematography. Absolutely loving Tom Holland as Spiderman. The way he conveys hid emotions and body posture is truly magnificent. The movie seems to prep us for some of sort surprises Marvel is planning to hit us with. No over bloating of scenes and they kept it a universal pleasing tone. Characters handled their roles perfectly well and I'm impressed. A great movie for the MCU and its fans.
Chernobyl (2019)
Outstanding
I haven't seen a show better than this in years! This is touching!
When They See Us (2019)
A true representation
I don't remember the last time I cried watching a movie and this miniseries filled my head and heart with alot of anger, pain and sadness. I felt it was happening to me. This acts should drive our conversations and thoughts. Injustice because of skin color. Damn!
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
A refreshing magnificence
Avengers End Game is by far the most gorgeous and detailed Cinematic movie ever. Full of emotions and a true character representation. No unnecessary scenes and a true reflection of the hardwork of the MCU. This blissful. Everyone deserves to watch this magnificent piece.
Breaking Bad (2008)
Insane and very addictive show.😍
This is literally my favorite show of all time. Very bold and daring about the topics it talks about. The show is so truth to the topics and the characters they represent. A great revolving show with a simple idea but capable of hooking anyone to their seat irrespective of the genre you love. Moreover, very educative and informing.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Realistic and Bold
It's undoubtedly the greatest series of our time. It's going to be nearly impossible for any series to beat it, right from the awards scene to fans mobilization. Game of thrones takes it all. have read all the books and I started watching Game of Thrones the same day it was aired and it's no. 1 for alot of reasons. You can't easily bank on what to come, Character complexity, landscape, make up, VFX, Archetypes are presented, destroyed, and rebuilt, sorry telling, the politics and art, there is no better show with so much and details. It's the best there is!
The Burial of Kojo (2018)
A coruscating visual representation and that's just it!
I watched The Burial of Kojo more than 3 times in Cinemas right here in Ghana and to be frank, it was a good visual and landscape demonstrating movie but very average as a whole package. I don't intend to be poetic about the movie as it was but it lacks soul. The whole concept was great and i know Ghana standard has been awful but considering the length he went to in order to bring out this piece, I expected a more compact work. All the same, it's a great piece from Blitz, I admire the put in.
Us (2019)
Bold and Daring
A great movie by all standards. For a horror movie, it's magnificent how things played out. Perfectly well arranged scenes and exquisite character representation. Lived to the expectations.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Very impressive for an origin Story.
A good sense of humor, no bloated scenes despite the power of Danvers. Kept the tone down not avoid leaks and character misrepresentation. Few actions scenes but overall, it is a great origin movie that sits so well after 20+ existing movies in the MCU.
Dumbo (2019)
Impressed, just that!
Wasn't really hyped for it but was quiet pleased with the outcome.
Shazam! (2019)
Extremely funny and gives a valuable lesson on togetherness
Honestly, this is DC's best output, quiet a show it is. Great sense of humor, a lil boring from the beginning but handled it professionally. No excess bloating of character representation n CGI looks okay. They over strechted some scenes to prove a point not necessary but was good.
Hellboy (2019)
Dark and Disappointing
It's disappointing. It had a good take off with an insightful story narrative and that's just it. The movie had no soul or value whatsoever. Filled 80% of the movie with unnecessary VFX and lacks intriguing action scenes which is supposed to be one of the pros.
