Magic Arch 3D (2020)
When you build up expectations for your audience you better deliver
"From the wrighter behind Toy Story" it said on the cinema poster. Oh boy did we get our hopes and expectations up. Normally I feel no need for posting bad reviews for animation films because they (film studios) all gotta start somewhere and kids like the movies almost regardless of how much grown ups dislike them.
But this one... Oh dear.. When you walk into the cinema with Pixar and Toy Story in mind and get this, you will get disappointed, very disappointed. Everything from the manuscript, animation, music composition, volume control (voices and sound effects) and voice acting (dubbed norwegian version) was wrong. This film seemed like a mess of a school project and don't come close to the quality we're used of seeing from Pixar and Dreamworks.
I wish the creators of this movie the best of luck in future projects, but I hope they've learned from this one and don't advertice the same way if they can't deliver.
You are hereby warned.
Step Brothers (2008)
It's one of my comedic classics, and it's a short list!
I don't got much to spare for comedies in general because they often tend to play on over used slap stick humor, but this one, this. I have seen it probably 5 times by now and I laugh more for each time I watch. Brilliant chemistry between Will Ferrell and John C. Reilley and great performances.
If you don't find this plot and movie funny at all, you sir/madam need to see a comedic doctor
The Irishman (2019)
A masterpiece from A to Z
Knowing that we probably wont be able to enjoy new performances from these giants is truly depressing. Martin Scorseses, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci are still at the top of their game.
Just pure art. 🙌
Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
An Absolute Gem
Made in a time when everything didn't have to be PC. The fact that all the respectable cartoon "owners" came together and gave their accept to this movie is nothing short of a miracle.
The combination of playfull cartoons and a murder plot, drinking and smoking etc, is outstanding and I find it hard to imagine that this could've happend in today's "perfect" society, sadly.
Great movie, great animation, great actors and great plot. 10/10.
