Much better than I thought it would be
23 March 2023
Let me just say that I went into the show with very low expectations. I had heard all of the negative buzz surrounding the show, and really was expecting to hate it like everyone else but surprisingly Gotham Knights actually is pretty good. Now don't get me wrong the show definitely has the typical flaws of a CW show some cringy dialogue and acting and the lower budget with the costumes. However, at the same time, it also is a little bit darker than your typical CW show. I mean, in the very first episode, we see a guy get his head chopped off and they showed it, which I never would have expected The CW of all places to show something like that.

The characters I also liked in the series Turner Hayes may not be the best protagonist as you really feel like they just wanted to use Dick Grayson but weren't able to, but he's a decent protagonist and I think he has potential. I also surprisingly liked all three of the villain kid characters, especially the jokers daughter, who I expected to be the biggest cringiest of them all, and she's actually the most interesting and complex character. I also thought it was really cool that we got to see Stephanie Brown in the series as I believe it was her first live action appearance, and it was so cool getting to see that for the first time. And so far I think they have done a good job with the court of owls. I think the talon was done good in the last episode, and I like the mystery they are building there with them.

Overall, I got to say I was pleasantly surprised with Gotham Knights. I actually think that more people should go into the show with an open mind and give it a chance it's not the greatest DC show out there but I think that this show has a lot of potential, and I'm excited to watch the rest of the season.

Tales of the Walking Dead: Evie/Joe (2022)

A great story in The Walking Dead Universe about finding belonging
15 August 2022
Episode one of Tales of The Walking Dead was a fantastic road trip story about finding belonging in a world occupied by the undead. It had 2 great lead characters with interesting backstories. A shocking twist that I personally did not see coming. And even some surprisingly emotional moments. This was a great start to the 4th series in The Walking Dead Franchise.

A Tale of Two Shows
16 July 2022
Ms. Marvel is a tale of two shows. When this show is focused on Kamala Khans family life and her navigating through High School while learning to master her powers and become the superhero to represent her community it's great. Iman Vellani knocks it out of the park as this character and she has already gone down as one of the best MCU castings. I loved also how stylized those episodes were. Episode 1,2, and 6 were all a lot of fun imo. However, even Iman cannot save episodes 3-5 which feel like a completely different show. All of a sudden we go from a show about Kamala learning to explore her powers while dealing with everyday issues to all of a sudden a show about her ancestors and how that ties into this alternate dimension. She travels the world as these people chase her down and I don't even remember those villains names that's how forgettable and bad they are. Episode 3-5 are just not great especially episode 5 which doesn't even feature Kamala until over halfway through the episode. So the show yes is a tale of two shows one that is a heartwarming story about a teenage girl learning to become a superhero. And another that is this generic mcu globe trotting adventure that just feels as though it belongs in a different show entirely.

Life Is Strange: True Colors (2021 Video Game)

A Great Return To Form For Life is Strange
15 September 2021
Life is Strange: True Colors is a great return to the franchises roots. It perfectly nails what made the first game so special with its small town mystery and great relatable characters. Over the course of the game you get more and more attached to the town of Haven Springs and the moments where you can explore the town were some of my favorites in the game. Alex power of Empathy was extremely well done with being able to read and even absorb people's emotions was very unique for the franchise. It even rivals Max's powers of Time Travel from the original. All around Life is Strange: True Colors perfectly nails what makes Life is Strange Life is Strange.
