Who Is Erin Carter? (2023)
Loved it...until I didn't
This show started out so well, the first couple episodes were so good, strong story telling, thoroughly enjoyed it...it made sense. Did they get a new writer starting in episode 5? Seriously, the story just fell apart. It became ludicrous, the main character made so many poor decisions it seemed odd, the stupid physical fights, literally nothing even made sense. Erin is running or walking through groups of people and no one notices that she looks terrible and is bleeding all over the place? She gets her head smashed by a wodden cutting board and... nothing?!?! Sitting in a posh restaurant with blood dripping from her head, and no one even gives her a second look? Could have been really good, but... failed.
Mideunaiteu (2021)
Spend the time watching something else
I love Korean movies and TV, mostly because I have to watch every show with subtitles, so I was excited to see to see this... but that was until I started it. I was only a third way in and realized this was going to be incredibly frustrating.
Being deaf... your senses are hyper alert to what is going on around you; reading situations quickly and accurately. You do feel vulnerable at times, which could have been used as a much better plot device in this movie.
Like I just said...you are somewhat vulnerable, NOT stupid, hopeless, unbelievably naive, and helpless.
The main character was showing so much spunk at first, then she fizzled.
Most Dangerous Game (2020)
Frustrating
What the??? What idiot hides in a bathroom? What idiot calls the cops on her husband when hinky things are happening? Who goes to a bank to complain about huge deposits? When you life is literally on the line... why would you dialog with one of your killers or get close enough for him to hurt you? If your a giant, why wouldn't you squat down a little in a huge crowd?
Why look around begging to make eye contact? It's all so illogical. I'm trying to think about "what would I do???" And I still don't think I would do any of these idiotic things.
I guess it's somewhat entertaining, but don't try to make it make sense you'll end up having it give you a headache.
August Creek (2017)
It's just okay
Can we get a story set in Iowa to be shown halfway right? Probably Field of Dreams, but that might be the limit. There were mountains in the background in this movie, what? Where in Iowa would that be? And if there is corn growing... its HOT, even at night. You're not wearing your Uggs or a flannel shirt. You are sweating in places you didn't really know could sweat, it's in the 90s and 100% humidity in the summer. Plot was okay, pretty predictable.
The Lost Husband (2020)
Good Watch
Good movie! I was half expecting the Hallmark syrup, but I'm so glad my expectations were not met....lol. The main characters did really well and the story was good as well.
Christmas Wedding Planner (2017)
The Christmas Cheese has Rotted
I am only watching this because my mom loves everything cheesey. I want to stab myself with a fork to stop the misery of this poorly plotted movie and the acting was cringe worthy. If my mom would fall asleep I could snag the remote and stop the pain.
