Combat!: The Linesman (1965)
Pretty good
Jack Lord is in charge of laying a phone line from headquarters to an outpost. The wire is on spools that it is mentioned contain 440 yards (1/4 mile) of wire. So of course they frequently empty the spool and have to splice in the next one. And where do these spools come from? Nobody is seen to be carrying extras, and they don't have a cart or anything else loaded with wire. Yet every time one spool runs out...POOF! Another magically appears! HAHAHAHA.
I never liked Jack Lord, and to be honest he is pretty much a jerk through most of this episode. At one point I thought Sgt. Saunders might belt him. I wish he had!
In the Heat of the Night: Brotherly Love: Part 1 (1990)
Really?
Pretty good two parter, although with a theme that has been done before. Lost of "HUH?" moments, though.
Hard to imagine that a small town police chief from Mississippi would be given access to police records in Philadelphia - especially Internal Affairs records.
Could Virgil and the Chief really have made it back to Sparta before the twins were born, since Althea was already in labor before they left?
The Philly police chief was wearing THE ABSOLUTE WORST hair piece in TV history! Surely he didn't think it was fooling anyone. I almost wanted him to be the bad guy just because he looked so ridiculous!
Christmas in the Rockies (2020)
Really?
Is the guy playing her father really old enough to be her father? And is Trish Stratus supposed to be the same age as him, and therefore 20ish years older than her?
You, Me & the Christmas Trees (2021)
So so
I think Jack's character said they had an ornament on the tree for every year, and showed Olivia the one from the year he was born "27 years ago". Come on...in real life he's 44 and she's 46...were we really supposed to think they were in their 20's? And the big tree in the town square sure reverted to green fast!
London Kills (2019)
Pretty good, but...
Does not one suspect ask to have a lawyer present when they are being questioned? And unlike just about every other British police show, they do not appear to be taping the interviews.
Also, what exactly .was Sharon Small thinking with that hair-do?
