Reviews
Scavengers Reign (2023)
Compelling, distressing and insightful
I am delighted to have accidentally found this treasure. The story is extremely beautiful and compelling. It never gets boring. The characteristic of the style is the exasperation of the negative traits of reality, the cruelty of human beings or the indifference of nature, but at the same time an ambivalence is always present, meaning things are bad, but they can also be good. You somehow can empathize with everything and everyone, even with those who should be the antagonists, whether they are humans, animals or plants. The series is quite distressing, so I recommend not watching it if you are going through a difficult time because it would further exacerbate your fears.
Mare fuori (2020)
Unrealistic and engaging
The first thing to know about this show is that it does not claim to be realistic and it does not pretend to be a documentary on the life of young people in a juvenile prison in Naples. Once you understand this, the show will be awesome. The characters are very well done, the setting is interesting and the story is compelling. I cried with every episode. Massimiliano Caiazzo's acting is perfect.
Generazione 56K (2021)
Beautiful
If all Italian series were like this, Italy would surpass Korea in terms of drama.
Short episodes full of events. Not a minute is wasted on useless things. The pace is fast. The story is compelling. The acting is perfect. The characters are great. I don't often give such high ratings, but this series, despite it has some kind of flawes obviously as anything else, has the great advantage of bringing happiness with it.
Zero (2021)
Allora regaz
The plot is meh and the acting is bah BUT finally something different.
Giri/Haji (2019)

One of the best show I ever seen in my life. For sure the best music and one of the most great cast of all time.
It makes me to regret not having lived in that time. So I blame you tu RZA and Tse to make me so sad and so happy at the same time. Also the all crew ofc
Miseuteo Shunshain (2018)
A masterpiece on the beauty of the Joseon
Probably the people who wrote negative reviews have misunderstood the true meaning of the story. This is not a romantic TV series, this is simply a genuine hymn to the beauty and strength of the Joseon. The romantic story between the lovers is only the frame of a splendid picture depicting the Joseon of the years 1870-1920. The real protagonists are the emotions and the ardor of those who have the strength to fight for the survival of their homeland, even at the cost of their lives.
Good Morning-Call: Guddo môningu kôru (2016)
I couldn't see half of it because I couldn't see through tears
One of the most beautiful Original Netflix! I recommend it to everybody! Full of emotions and really very entertaining
Street Food: Asia (2019)
It's more about people than food.
I was expecting a show about traditional street food from different countries, instead it turned into a show exclusively about how people became street food sellers.
In every episode you have a "main story" about someone that for some reason is elevated on the plot, compared to all the other street food sellers. Moreover, the episode tell more about that street food made by him, rather than all the other street food. The space reserved to food is ridiculously small with just a bunch of Instagram photos at the end of every episode.
If the show was called "Life of a Street Food Seller" then it would be an good show.
From the episode about Taiwan, all the episodes become the same as if they were all shot in the same place: not enough characterization of the environment, almost zero presentation of the streets and of what characterizes every country (and street food) and what differentiate it from others.
To know street food it's probably better watching Jamie Oliver's shows.
