I really like the pace of this series. The bad guys were relentless, but the good guys were on top of their game. Then there is the problems of knowing who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, and how far are the bad guys willing to go to achieve their goals. The interactions between Peter and Rose, Peter and Diane, Chelsea and Erik, Chelsea and Sarah, Sarah and the VP, and Ellen and Dale were all very interesting and added a lot of intrigue. I am hoping we will get a sequel that will allow Peter and Rose to flourish as a team. For reasons that are obvious if you have seen the series, the sequel probably should not be centered around the White House politics, but should be something very different with Peter and Rose now forming a very competent 2-person team perhaps dealing with cyber security.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well the actors got into their roles, and how this must have been partly due to the director. Kim Coates was my favorite actor in this series (this surprised me because I haven't really been a big fan of his - but I am now), but even so, his acting just edged out several others who performed wonderfully. It's a ghost story, but it is also a story of a remote Alaskan town, with the town folk arguing with each other as they gradually start to accept that there is something supernatural going on. I think some of the same team went on to create Vampire Wars which pretty good, but not as good as Ghost Wars.
The storyline is based on supernatural events, and its not the spookiness that I like. It's the characters and the dialogue - everybody, even small parts characters, have a noticeable personality, usually with an edge. Makes it fun to watch.
