The Black Demon (2023)
Great Show on Prime
We watched this at home and with an IMDb rating of 3.7, we weren't expecting much. But it was well acted and the location was believable! We first thought it was going to be an environmental wako movie but it criticized corporatism responsibly and ethically. I can see being disappointed if you paid big dollars to see this movie in a theater. I dont think this movie is worth paying extra, over and above what you would pay to stream it on your tv at home. But it is good enough to hold my wife's attention for the full length of the movie. Watch this movie. It's Definitely worth your time at home.
Without Remorse (2021)
Geez, what a cluster!!
Thrown together screenplay with absolutely no connection to real life. Horribly acted with just the right amount of typical Hollywood political correctness. They even managed to throw in a line about killing cops. Oh Hollywood- you're so edgy! Communists.
The Trump I Know (2020)
Finally - a real story about DT!!!!
Great story about the 45 president of the United States. Honest and real from beginning to end. I paid the $5 to watch it and felt like I was being told the truth about who and what DT is.
The Little Things (2021)
Great way to spend a pandemic Friday evening.
I love Denzel Washington's movies. He is a great actor- a little one Dimensional but man he is so believable. He is great at his craft.
This movie made me sit up snd take notice. I am a retired police officer and have worked my share of cases. (Not homicide) I recognized the great research of police procedures snd the technical application of them. All cops who see this movie will appreciate the attempt to remain authentic to law enforcement.
The story line was great with a wonderful who-done-it feel. Great dialogue and very well written. The element of being unforgivably connected to a murder that is from the past that is connected to the future that is connected to the past is as profound as it is plausible. Great work.
Deke's hopes of salvation, in this life and the next, are tied to a young and cocky detective partner that comes to realize forgiveness can be hauntingly elusive.
Watch this movie-it is as about as close as you're going to get to the frustrations and limitations of real police work.
Midway (2019)
With the permission of China -this is a period piece that the millennials and Gen Xers will not get
Great action with good (not great) historical perspective. Good CGI and pretty good acting. But this is not for the younger crowd as they really don't give a rat about what the greatest generation sacrificed to keep this country from being a Japanese protectorate are a part of Germany. Sad, really. A 21 year old kid back then and a 21 year old kid now days. Watch for the China references when the credits roll - it's more than a little disconcerting.
