Hypnotic (2021)
Impressive
This film has positively surprised me!
The flow of the film is perfect, subject itself is very interesting. It's very hard finding a good film nowadays, especially films that can keep your attention.
I found myself feeling for the characters; and I felt that the build-up and immersion were just about right.
It also shows how dangerous it can be letting yourself experience hypnosis; and also how dangerous it is to get to trust people so soon.
A very memorable experience and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!
The Mandalorian (2019)
Perfect Star Wars
Finally, after a very long time, we get proper Star Wars vibe!
All characters are likable! The show takes itself seriously which makes it immersive and beautiful!
...and most importantly there's no annoying characters nor annoying humor which I just couldn't bear in the new Star Wars films.
This is just amazing, I'm enjoying this ride so much and I look forward to more!
Keep up the amazing work and thank you so much for making this!
The Witcher (2019)
Very, very disappointing
I really looked forward to this show despite not liking the choice of cast.
However, I did have my fears...and it turned out these fears were true.
As a huge Witcher fan this show greatly disappointed me at how it failed to show us and immerse us with this universe and characters.
On top of that, there are many things that just made me cringe and wince in annoyance.
First of all, it's based in fantasy medieval Poland. Why on Earth did they mix different colors of people here? It's like mixing Black people and White people into Asian-only story.
Triss was a MAJOR disappointment in every way and I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her. What happened? Why wasn't Triss the red-haired girl we all knew?
Yennefer as well. I expected a far, far more dignified and powerful lady to act her and give that dignified and convincing feel, like Yen had...the deeper voice and her dark charms. Instead it feels like watching a skinny gypsie girl try to act like Hermione.
No offense to the actors themselves, but it's out of place...it's really out of place. What were they thinking? What was the director thinking?
Henry Cavill also doesn't fit the role of Geralt. I understand his love for video games and Witcher itself, but he just doesn't give Geralt justice. Sure he gave his all so...congrats to him but...just no.
You can see Henry over-buffed himself and he's way too stiff during the whole show. On top of that, the entire costume is so off putting.
You can see that his hair is wig, it's beyond poorly done. The eye-lenses are cheap and horrible to look at as well.
CGI was bad, monsters are poorly done.
Story is ALL OVER THE PLACE, it's hard to get a grip of it and even immerse yourself with the characters. Some pointless moments are dragged, while important character building is just not there.
On top of that, I've had enough of seeing nakedness and inappropriate scenes on big screen. Can this just stop? Can we stop using the disgusting, disturbing and tasteless scenes and putting them on screen? If I wanted to watch this I'd pay for those 'special ' TV programs.
Some scenes in this show are beyond tasteless and have no meaning or story-building value at all. Just like with GoT, these scenes are just there to give you the 'shock' factor and to make you feel uneasy. Why?
Women complain how they don't want to be represented as 'objects' and yet 21st century has depicted women in worst possible light thanks to these disgusting scenes.
Oh and not to mention Jaskier/Dandelion Bard, who sings like a modern singer...and his annoying rambling made me want to turn the show off.
Humor is out of place too...very very bad writing, I just lack words to express my disappointment and I could just go on and on and on...
Overall, this show has no character depth, character building or actual love and emotions. Everything is like they're reading a plain script and 'trying to look smart'.
Poor choice of casting, poor script, inappropriate, lacks depth.
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Satisfied and happy! Go see it, don't listen to the haters!
Tonight I went to watch Solo: A Star Wars Story and all I can say is that I was incredibly entertained and that I enjoyed every bit of the film.
I am not going to spoil anything, but it's one of those moments where I felt like I was really experiencing a Star Wars story.
I did not like 'The Force Awakens' neither did I like 'The Last Jedi' much, but Solo blew them all away!
It goes above 'Rogue One' for me, as it cuts down on 'annoying things' like running after a child to save her in middle of the gunfire and the already seen moments. A lot of twists and turns in 'Solo: A Star Wars Story', moments you'd not expect and it's also quite dark, as it is set in the gloomy time where Empire controlled majority of the places.
Parents and I have thoroughly enjoyed it and we finally felt that old Star Wars vibe again.
Don't let the hate comments sway you, go see it and conclude yourself.
It's packed with constant action, it never felt boring!
Maudie (2016)
Touching, emotional masterpiece
Words are too pale to describe this.
The film is an emotional masterpiece in every way. The two of them nailed it with acting!
A touching story and something well worth seeing.
10000/10000 Highly recommend to anyone who needs some spiritual enlightenment.
Thank you Ethan Hawke and Sally Hawkins for making this believable and so touching. Thank you!
Annihilation (2018)
Beautiful, yet ruined
"Annihilation" is the film I looked forward to after seeing the trailer. I expected a serious film with serious plot and characters, not the usual hiccups we see in films that are, by now, seen a thousand times...and by that I mean characters that are slow, slow-paced scenes for no reason, characters being careless and irresponsible, usual things happening as in gun getting stuck, or leaving weapons behind, lacking proper survival instincts, etc etc etc.
Unfortunately, this film had all of that in it and I found it painful to watch it in some moments.
It should have gone a bit faster, there was no need for characters being sooooo slow, those scenes just made me go 'oh come on hurry up already!'...
Why does it take them so long to take a gun and shoot a bear?
Why does a gun jam when they're about to shoot a giant crocodile?
Why are there repeatable scenes in the film, I have to say that I really found that 'intimate' scene out of place. I understand we had to see she cheated on her husband, but must that scene repeat twice?
Every film nowadays needs to have these sudden inappropriate scenes that make me sweat under my clothes when watching films with family. Could have packed that better...
Apart from that, the characters were beyond naive and just bad. Unprepared, making silly conclusions and acting completely out of place as if the place was absolutely safe and that it was totally all right to drag things on and wait for the night to fall!
Everyone sleeping over in the watchtower for safety...with doors open, with one person keeping guard in a miniature building below the watchtower? That scene had me so confused...why not all stay together and protect each other that way? Close the door and stay on the higher ground as a group!
Going out into the forest to look for the missing team member...on her own, going far...aware that there's a huge bear/predator that killed her?
Yes these are such huge flaws and I can't believe it how such things just keep happening in every film that shows such huge potential.
"The Arrival" also showed a ton of potential, but my my was it slow...it dragged on and on and on...
"Annihilation" had huge potential, the effects are gorgeous, the subject is interesting and something that showed a lot of promise, I loved the plot and the idea of the Shimmer, but why oh why did it have to be done in such a naive way?
The atmosphere was sooo good, so was the soundtrack. Had the film been scrapped off of these useless moments and sped up a little so characters aren't slow as snails when having to react...I'd give it a 10/10.
Unfortunately, I am giving it a 6/10. 6 primarily because of soundtrack, effects and interesting plot. Other than that, a hugely missed opportunity.
The Mummy (2017)
Loved it!!!!
After reading all the bad reviews about the film I simply had to go and take a look at it myself. Needless to say, next week I'm going to go watch it again with my family.
I believe the biggest problem is that people are taking this too seriously. Instead, after watching the trailer I said to myself "Oh great, this will be great fun, something I can relax with!" And it was so. It is a film where you just sit back, eat popcorn, watch the endless action, laugh and enjoy.
I'm giving it a 9/10 simply because I wasn't a huge fan of scenes with Doctor Jekyll, but everything else was truly enjoyable. Acting was fantastic and also funny, Tom Cruise did an outstanding job (I still don't get the critics) and Sofia was incredible!
It is a fast-paced film, packed with a lot of action, some bits of 'horror' and some bits of nice humor as well.
I recommend it big time, especially if you feel like just relaxing and forgetting about daily worries.
The Phantom of the Opera (2004)
A Huge Thank You!
10/10...or wait, 1000/1000 and more, I just can't have enough of this film. The performance, the music, the costumes, the atmosphere, everything is just perfect, I thought that no other film could share the same place with "The Lord of the Rings", but for me, both "The Phantom of the Opera" and "The Lord of the Rings" are sharing the first place.
My words are even too pale to express how this film affected me in such a positive and emotional way. In this crazy 21st century, I could finally feel real emotions coming from this film, the way both of these gentlemen treated Christine is incredible, it makes me wish for those old times to return. Superb performance, and Sir Gerard Butler truly showed incredible emotion in singing and acting, it made me feel with the character so much. No better Phantom than Gerard Butler, you Sir have truly made this one shine. Kudos to the whole crew, this is the film of my life in every way. Thank you, thank you...THANK YOU!
On - drakon (2015)
Warm and touching!
A beautiful, heart-warming fairy-tale that shows true love and holds on to morale in every aspect.
The story is amazing, the effects are superb and music is so touching. Do not miss out on this one if you love fantasy and dragons! All in all 10/10 from me. I watched it today twice and I'll watch it again!
We need more films like this, where true love is shown in such a good way, not like in new films where only passion prevails, I am tired of that.
A must watch for fans of fantasy films, I personally finds this better than majority of ''modern'' fantasy films. This film deserves a higher score.
Tiny Giants 3D (2014)
I have tears in my eyes!
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen! It gives us such wonderful presentation of these little guys, how they lead their little lives and how brave and heroic all of them are. We do not notice it, we do not value their lives as we should, but it is time people realize how valuable and unique this life is.
I have a Russian Dwarf Hamster, and she is such a strong little person worthy of a huge amount of respect. This film only made me love her and understand her even more!
We need more ''films'' like these, and I hope more get filmed, because this will make people realize how priceless the life of every creature is.

Warcraft (2016)
Impressed beyond belief!
I went to the cinema to watch the film today and I have to say that I enjoyed every single part of it. Like one of the watchers said here ''critics go home''! First of all, nostalgia kicked in, and second I felt completely immersed with the film and the whole atmosphere of it and I didn't want it to end! I saw it with my family and all of us were impressed - considering that my father didn't even know a single thing about Warcraft lore!
Best of 2016, and I find it better than "The Hobbit".
10/10, will go watch it again.
Ignore the critics, go and see it, you will enjoy it!
