Hacks: The One, The Only (2022)
This Room is Ass!
Just wanted to share that this is the first time I've ever had a bit of a cry when a moment ended... Wow- this show and these performances have all felt so perfect. Thank You for the team who created this series. I didn't know this was the last episode until the last scene and music as the credits began to roll, and I just started to cry. Happy tears, but just a great series. Cheers!
American Horror Story: Traitor (2018)
Best ep in years and Ultra Delicious
My sentiment mirrors callmemaybe757- I was ok not to have Langdon in this ep. Allowed the other characters to shine up to possibly defeat him- who knows; but omg- the fashion at the Bates & Warlock BBQ was divine and they all are such supreme actors- Bates' crazy face in the flames 🔥 was as fabulous as ....everyone is so on their game. No one had a small role!! Myrtle is full of life, Joan May as well be in a bikini on ice skates- she is SO HOT! I want to give every single one their due, as they seriously ALL brought it!
Twin Peaks: The Return: Part 8 (2017)
I've watched #1.8 over and over- 9 times
I do not claim to be any more than a lifelong adorer of David Lynch's creations- blame the 70s, or a decade enjoying electronic dance music, or a lifetime of expanding my mind, respect for art and humor and nonsense and literature--desire for evermore. But God #1.8 was a delicious & pleasing episode. It is gloriously beautiful and meticulously crafted. The music slowly drew me in, relaxed me...the decor and costumes are scintillating. I never allow not understanding the work I'm watching to initially throw me, as Lynch has never let me down - this episode is a cocktail, a slow relaxation and spiderweb of death...fearless, decadent, and just truly a gift. I can't imagine the dedication, endless hours, intent, and sincerity Lynch resourced for this edit---I imagine much of it was also effortless--you can feel a release, the meditation, the relaxation of the clarity. I'm sure my review sounds very singular to my experience'- and I love how that is such a wonderful thing about his work. I let go to such tears and emotion at moments, that I sincerely hope others receive overwhelming personal pleasure from these fun and wild fearless ......how he holds you, how the music enters you. Anyway..truly special and beautiful, horrific....all the Magestic Sorcery that David Lynch has shared with us for so long. QUINOA!!!!
