Foundation (2021)
Rupert Sanders Screwed up first episode
Why is it that whatever Rupert Sanders touches becomes garbage? First episode is such a dissapointment, it could have attracted so many new viewers and been a good hook if Rupert Sanders didnt screw it up. Its just bad its cold its made without soul, as if you just had to make a series because somebody paid you. Horrible directing. I had to shut down the television after the first 6 minutes in seriously that bad. But a week later gave it a chance and I love the series. Too bad first episode could've ruined it for me. I wonder how many people never came back after the first episode. Such a shame.
Invasion (2021)
Super concerning that such talented people could screw up so hard
Invasion is a highly disappointing series that falls short despite the involvement of talented individuals known for their work in blockbuster movies. It's puzzling to witness such a glaring misstep, leading one to wonder if Apple's influence played a part in its shortcomings. The show suffers from convoluted storytelling and a lack of coherence, failing to fulfill the potential of its intriguing premise. Adding to the disappointment is the unrealistic portrayal of children, with their dialogue and emotions feeling detached from real-life experiences. It's as if the writers have little understanding of how children truly behave. This baffling choice only adds to the overall confusion and leaves viewers questioning the creative decisions behind the series. Invasion serves as a stark reminder that even the most talented individuals can stumble, leaving audiences longing for the excellence showcased in their previous endeavors.
An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power (2017)
Great sequel with scientific backings - flat earthers and trumpsters will dislike.
Whether you're a fan of Al Gore or not, he isn't really the issue here. He does a great job presenting the various forms of overwhelming evidence for global warming and mankind's link to it, but he doesn't do it in a political or spiteful way. He shows global temperature and atmospheric carbon patterns, and he shows that our last 20 years have been the highest by a longshot over the previous 600,000 years. Frankly, before seeing the film, I'd heard a lot of information about global warming being a myth, but this film dispels that notion with many independent pieces of evidence.
The 100: Join or Die (2016)
To the Producers and the Directors
I've been watching The 100 ever since the first Season. Over the years The 100 has become different, it has evolved to target a larger audience, it just feels a bit different.
I don't mind the mass genocide of the cast, change is necessary for the survival of this franchise. I don't mind if you kill Heda, she needs to move aside for the story to continue, I've learned that when Finn had to die.
This episode gave me old memories and returned me to the universe of The 100, I believe the music at the end did this, but also the flashbacks, either way, I would hope the producers and the directors would go back to target my audience as they did in season 1. Thanks, I'm a boy, 21 years old.
