Convicting a Murderer (2023)
Covers What Was Left Out
As several others have mentioned, I was a bit dubious about Candace Owens. However, her role basically amounts to a "pretty face" that just presents the show.
That being said, this presents actual trial transcripts that show the glaring omissions made by the Netflix series. Especially interesting are the interviews with Avery's brother Earl and his ex-wife. Some of the content of their interviews will make your stomach turn, but they show Avery in a light he didn't want discovered; you will see why.
There's also interesting interviews with Jodi the former fiancee.
All in all this is a presentation of facts that may help you decide guilt or innocence if you are on the fence.
Inland Empire (2006)
Don't Bother
I generally enjoy Lynch's work but not this one. I had great expectations after watching the opening with the neighbor, but my hopes quickly deteriorated. I mean WTF is going on here? And you have 3 hours worth of this incomprehensible twaddle.
It was impossible to keep track of the characters especially when the film segued from the real versus the surreal. I admit to not viewing the movie till the end as I couldn't see investing any more time to what was not at all entertaining--at least to me.
I'll stick with Blue Velvet and Mullholland Dr. Those were great. Inland Empire doesn't even come close to those.
The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch (2020)
Mother Would Have A Field Day
My mother was an aficionado of bad TV and would make running sarcastic comments during such shows. If she was around, she'd have a field day with this dud. FYI I'm an aerospace engineer (retired) and this Travis is an embarrassment to the profession.
