The Blacklist: Captain Kidd (No. 96) (2021)
More Red and Cooper please!
The activist and so-called KSA repression is not to my liking. But thank God, there is no Liz, the MYTH building continues then, just like her mother was "the super spy", whose actually just a whiny traitor to everyone whom ever loved her..
The Rhythm Section (2020)
So bland.. I can't find the rhythm..
I like Jude, I like Sterling, and I like Blake too, she's pretty! Buuut, the story was slow paced. I was bored, I overslept.. TWICE! There were some backgrounds of Stephanie's character, but I can't relate with her, I don't even care with her revenge. 😅 Jude and Sterling's characters were also bland, such a waste. And there was no twist at all, because I can guess who the U-17 is, from the moment Sterling introduced. What's his intention tho? He hate Muslims (the religion hints were pretty strong)? Or for money? A task from CIA? I am confused!
But I enjoyed the scenery, Scotland, Tangiers, and (Marseille?), nice view. TBH, I don't really understand why the title is Rhythm Section? Is it because Jude said that the heart is drum and the breath is bass? Some kind of music reference? Maybe I should read the book, because other reviewer said that this film is a book adaptation. But I know I couldn't get the book here, so yeah, this film is enough for me.
Party of Five: Pilot (2020)
I am confused...
I know nothing about US Immigration law or system, but the father's "arrogance" when ICE police asking about his papers is kinda annoying and I am glad when they arrested him. How come after 18 years and regular visit from officers (as he said), he wouldn't thrown to immigration jail sooner? Was he bribed the officers? How he applied for the papers or permit for the restaurant if he's illegal? Doesn't he have to show a driver license or social security number or something? I don't know, I'm confused. The actor/ess and their acting is so-so and honestly I don't like Lucia, but it's still first episode, we'll see..
Everything's Gonna Be Okay (2020)
This is my lowest rating ever.. 👀
The main actor was unbearable and his acting was so-so. Or maybe because I am a millennial, this show doesn't speak to me. If I have to watch gay couple in comedy series and person with spectrum, I'll switch to Mitch & Cam from Modern Family + Atypical. Next please!
Segfault (2018)
"It was more of an experiment than a movie"
Yes, that was the writer (Northrup Loyd) said, AND I AGREE! Seriously guys, don't waste your money and time to see this 'experiment'. The pace is so slow, and I hate the tone, kinda blackish-blurrish, trying to be thriller much? Maybe this is successful as an experiment, but failed miserably as a movie. There is an on-going series with this kind of A.I. human-like, please go see that series instead and avoid this! Definitely don't deserve 6 stars. C'mon people!
Ana (2020)
Love it!
This is a nice film. Great act, great chemistry between Rafa and Ana. And we can see beautiful scenery of Puerto Rico. Maybe the 'Comedy' genre is little bit misleading. I found some laugh here and there though, but the writing dynamic was obviously toward drama. The ending was also delightful and warm my heart. SHOW ME SOME HUSTLE! 😆
Always a Bridesmaid (2019)
Why the rating is so low?
I don't understand! This film was funny, entertaining, no sex scene, and had some familiar faces. There were some warm-hearted scenes too. I like it, maybe because I can relate to the main actress. Hahah. "Delay is not Denial" indeed..
StartUp: Pro Rata (2016)
I GOT CHILLS!
Wow! This episode was superb. Great from the start. When they chanted Dacey, Dacey, Dacey then put the magazine out of the guns, man! I got chills! WOW! Martin and Edi were act beautifully.. Toussaint was very brave, I still can't believe he would stand up to that 'dictators'..
StartUp: Seed Money (2016)
Nope, Nope, Nope!
I tried to watch this series because of Morgan Freeman and Adam Brody's names. And OMG, so many sex scenes. This is the first episode people, come on! And I also annoyed by the Cuban-American girl, doesn't remember her name yet. She mentioned Indonesia and its currency, Rupee, what?! Then I replay it for 4 times, just to make sure, and guess what, I still heard Rupee. My currency is Rupiah, you said it like Rupee but with an 'uh'. It's simple really, but please learn the fact, don't be so ignorant. Cheers..
Hawaii Five-0: Ihea 'oe i ka wa a ka ua e loku ana? (2020)
Aaaaah, so many questions!
A crossover episode with Magnum P.I., and it's pretty fun. The Ferrari is so handsome. Maybe this episode's downside was the ending, why? What will happen to Junior? And Adam, why do you fly to Japan? So many questions. But for me this episode feel like an appetizer, just there to tease you for the main episode. Hopefully next week we can get a closure from Adam's story, miss him in the team. Oh, and where's Danny? 🤔
The Lion King (2019)
Nice CGI tho..
Very nice, feel like I truly am in Africa watching the animal minding their own business. But that's it! I have some concerns regarding the movie: 1) The voice and facial expressions of Mufasa and young Simba just doesn't click (but idk it's just my opinion), eventhough I love James Earl Jones's beautiful voice; 2) The scene of Mufasa's dead, I cried when I see the cartoon version, but in this movie, naahh, it's too fast and lack of feeling; 3) Young Simba is just a spoiled brat, too selfish, need some character development; 4) The lioness are the same, same build, same facial expression, I can't tell them apart (if they don't speak or sing, I wouldn't know which one is Sarabi or Nala).
The Lion King is one of my most favorite Disney's cartoons, but the remake is like a different entity from the original. I still enjoy it, but slightly dissapointed. 😅
The Aeronauts (2019)
Worth a shot..
I like this movie, despite all the 'arguing' whether its historically correct or not. After read some of the contra reviews, now I know that this movie based on TRUE EVENT. It is a movie though, you'll get the drama, the romance, the CGI, and the political agenda, like how was the scientist treated a woman back then, oooh patriarchal rules!
I think it's STILL a movie about James Glaisher, not the fictional Amelia Wren, eventhough we saw some of her badass scenes especially on top of 'The Mammoth'. For me personally, she was just an icing on the cake.
This movie is recommended for those aspired to be a metereologist, it will tell you how it began in 19th Century; with a baloon, smiley sandbags, a hygrometer, a termometer, and a bunch of pigeons. 😆 So just lay back, relax, and enjoy the movie..
9-1-1: Malfunction (2019)
My heart hurts! 😢
First until third story is rather slow, but its nice to know about Bobby's past life and passion. The robot in the warehouse is nice touch too, and I learn about the 'life' in a warehouse in our online shopping era. I feel so emotional with Diaz's story and cried along with Hen. My head and my heart hurts to see her crying like that. The backstory, the ambience, the music, the acting, all was superb. After 2 hours, I am still shocked and in awe. I LOVE THIS EPISODE! I feel truly sorry for Evelyn and her family, but I hope Hen will be okay and still stay in the 118..
This Is Us: Her (2019)
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FINALE!
I ADORE the relationship between Randall & Beth, of course they are destined to be together. 💚 Oh, and I love Beth's quote too! There are no obstacles big enough to tear them apart!
I always knew that Kevin will married his first love, agree? And Deja's stories was powerful and moving. I just can't wait for the 4th season. Keep up the good work!
Runaways: Split Up (2018)
HUGE IMPROVEMENT!
I just finished binge-watching this season finale, and I AM HOOKED! The first season was so-so, not bad, just slightly boring. But with this new season, I really hope that it'll become much better onward! (y)
