The Suicide Squad (2021)
Everything about this movie is a joke
... except for maybe idris elba.
No - this movie is not worth anything, horrible to watch. A stupid plot, stupid jokes, stupid scenes.
Human Capital (2019)
Not thrilling at all
Not a drama - just a very bland story.
The whole idea is great, with a fine storyline, but a horrible execution.
The first 15 minutes are quite thrilling, and after that it just becomes a boring story where you keep thinking: "come on, when's the good stuff coming? Some drama or crime?"
Nothing. And when the story finally gets to what could have been interesting, it has used up its time to show the boring stuff, that it needs to skip what could have been good. Very slow paced, and then suddenly skips everything - the end.
It had potential, and great actors, unfortunately horrible writers.
Brother Bear (2003)
I still get goosebumps watching this movie
I enjoy this story, and it ALWAYS makes me cry, always. The story of love, revenge and family - it's classic and emotional.
I will definitely recommend this movie.
The music and animation is also great!
Ava (2020)
I don't get the hate?
I've seen a lot worse movie. I wouldn't call it bad - I enjoyed the acting. It feels like a story I've seen before, and a little messy story (too many unimportant details), and it might be more of a drama with a small but of action. A movie about a troubled woman.
It's a fine movie, i wouldn't recommend it, but I wouldn't not recommend it!
Great fight scenes, okay storyline.
I don't get why people are confused? The storyline is pretty straight forward, maybe with too many side stories.
6/10 - would watch once.
Artemis Fowl (2020)
I guess this movie is great if you are 7yo
But the story is just really really confusing! I haven't read the books, and I won't.
There are so many details that they skip quickly through, and too many details that aren't needed. The viewer don't get to know the universe and magic and what not.
I won't recommend it, it seems as if they could gave made this movie into two movies.
Some great acting and some bad and annoying.
I See You (2019)
Not a bad thriller!
Not at all a horror movie.
Wow Helen hunt has aged - with Botox.
You know, I really liked the twists in this movie!
But one thing though - the girl was so stupid? She did everything wrong - "hey, a hut right next to the place where the man left the car, let's go in".
Idiot.
The Intruder (2019)
WHY NOT JUST CALL THE POLICE?!!
I just loathe movies where the protagonist never calls the police, and has tons of opportunities!
Dennis Q carried the whole movie, he's the reason for 5 starts. What a brilliant performance.
Would have given it 7 stars, if only they had called the police.
I would recommend watching this movie, it is interesting - not boring, but a standard plot.
Tunnelen (2019)
This movie has potential
.. and great actors! Really great acting.
But throughout the movie you keep questioning the "every man for themselves" why did they do that? I don't know if it's realistic or not.
It seems as if there are major plot holes, and characters that didn't need to be in the movie.
4/10.
Queen & Slim (2019)
Slow and boring movie
This movie had a very interesting beginning, and then 15 minutes in it just falls short.
The story was slow, and not interesting.
And that's too bad, because it had so much potential!
The storyline was more romance, than drama.
To be honest, the directors and writers had so much talent to work with, they should've written a better storyline.
It could've been with more emphasis on police vs. blacks without hating so much on the bad bad police. We get it already, white people bad - black people good. To see a trial, and how the system is broken would've been much better, not some guy riding on a horse. Or maybe if we would see more of the chase.
Whatever.
I wouldn't recommend this movie, and I would not watch it again.
Togo (2019)
Good dogs!
Yes, 10/10. I guess it's because I'm so emotional.
I really enjoyed this movie. No - it's not mind blowing, and yes, we know this is a Disney movie, so the ending I predictable.
But Willem Dafoe is a brilliant actor.
If you like hachiko, you'll probably like this movie too.
Basically it's a story about the bond between a man and his dog.
And yes, the dialogue is primary willem dafoe yelling "good dogs" "come on puppies", but that's okay, because they are good dogs.
All in all - a cute movie. For me it was two hours well spent.
Haunt (2019)
A decent horror movie
Yes, annoying girl who makes stupid decisions as always. During the movie, I would sometimes think "but it's soooo obvious to do that", "no one in real life would do that"
But it was creepy And I really liked it.
Especially the ending, finally an ending that gives you some relief
Christopher Robin (2018)
Why the bad reviews?
Yes, this isn't a new storyline. I get that.
But the movie was still very entertaining!
And yes it's a crowd pleaser!
I loved seeing the movie, because I've grown up with these stories!
It's a cute story for both adults and kids.
I would give it a 7,5, but since I can't, I rounded it up to 8.
Oh - and I did in fact have big expectations before watching this movie!
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)
I do love the Universe, but..
This was a movie to please the crowd.
I went to see this with my boyfriend - he hasn't read the books, and when things have to much of a story, he becomes bored.
Mind that he says abrakadrabra whenever a curse is used.
He wasn't bored throughout the movie!
There was a lot of magical fighting, goofy scenes and beautiful scenes!
But.. what was the plot? Where is the storyline? The story didn't raise new questions, and it didn't unravell some big hidden secret fans didn't already know or speculate.
Sooooo many crowd pleasing moments - Nicolas flames with a completely unimportant character - we see the philosophers stone, and the Mirror of Erised.
Yes yes, we know about the wand, stone and all that - that was the Harry Potter story!
Maybe this introduction will play an important role in the next movie, however in this one it didn't.
Oh - and some suicidal characters, that sacrifice themselves for no apparent reason.
Bellatrix Lestrange and Voldemort story all over again.
I don't think it has plot holes, but there are some irregularities in the movie....
I would of course recommend watching it - I just didn't have the "WOW AWESOME" effect that I've had with all the other movies or books.
Which is disappointing.
Johnny depp and Jude law are some brilliant actors. All the actors does a really great job!
The Meg (2018)
So predictable...!
Filled with cringeworthy clichès, and one guy who is totally unserious the whole time. How can he keep joking, and making stupid comments all the time? (The guy DJ).
Jason is a great actor, but this is a "only one guy can be the hero, everyone else are helpless".
I wouldn't recommend watching this. Maybe the first 30 minutes, but after that - horrible.
Escape Plan 2: Hades (2018)
Didnt hate nor love it
5/10, however it doesn't deserve a rating under 5.
Some good actors, and some bad.
The script - decent, with flaws.
But the movie wasn't boring!
La La Land (2016)
Just Read all the other reviews
One once but twice did I put this film on - just to stop it after 20 minutes!
The third time it was the only movie option I had.
Seriously - I love Emma Stone, she's amazing! Ryan gosling is a great actor too!
But this movie is just so bland - "blah blah land".
I actually do love movies with a slower pace, and the storyline doesn't have to evolve quickly for me. But this movie? The storyline is so boring! No, if you want a newer good musical (I'm not really into musicals) put on the greatest showman.
I wouldn't recommend anyone watching this movie. If I could turn back time - I would have gone for a walk instead of watching this movie. Maybe I would have seen a squirrel or something - that would have been more interesting and a better use of my time.
