The First RK Film
3 October 2006
this is the first film under the RK Films banner.this is also the first film that Raj Kapoor directed.he did an excellent job with everything.when watching the film you can't tell that this is Raj Kapoor's first directed film.for example the opening sequence when he's walking upstairs.the camera angles that were used were brilliantly done.also everything was done sensitively.Nargis has given a performance of a lifetime in this film.you can feel her pain.Raj Kapoor in my opinion given his best performance here.you could sense his anger, love, confusion, just everything he was feeling.you could see it in his eyes.all in all a great film with excellent music.

What a film!
3 October 2006
i've been in a Raj Kapoor mood lately.first of all i consider the man my mentor because everything that he's done,i want to do.i eventually want to be and actor/director for my films.i want great music for my films.i want people to appreciate my work.

on with Barsaat.this film has been done so well.forget the Barsaat of 1995 and 2005.if you want to see a film called Barsaat, than you must go all the way back to 1949.when the credits show at the beginning of the movie it says Starring Nargis before it says Raj Kapoor and i have to say that it is true.this is Nargis's film.she's acted brilliantly.she's the life and soul of this movie.Nargis is Reshma.you can see it in her eyes, her expression, and everything she says.this is probably her best performance to date.i hope eventually someone will put this film into color.

Raj Kapoor did a fabulous job acting, directing, and producing this film.this is amongst his best performances.you can tell in the scene when him and Nargis go on their first boat ride.Shankar Jaikishan's music is up to par.

the only fault in this film is the fact that there's a song every 15 to 20 minutes.too many songs.otherwise a brilliantly made film.

36 China Town (2006)

Great Suspense Flick
4 May 2006
36 China Town is Shahid's first movie with Abbas-Mustan.Expectations from Shahid's fans are high: -How is Shahid's performance? After all this is his first movie since December. -How is Shahid and Kareena's chemistry? They both have stated it's better than Fida

Well let's answer those questions:Performance is great while the chemistry is getting better.

Story: Shahid wants to become an actor. He tells his parents, they get mad,he runs away, meets Kareena and they fall in love. They find a child and they take the child back to their house, 36 China Town. When they get there the head of the house is dead. They weren't the only ones in the house.Johnny Lever and his wife were there.Paresh Rawal was there.Shahid and Kareena were there.and Upen Patel was there.Akshaye Khanna is the detective trying to figure everything out.

Positives: -Shahid's performance -Akshaye's performance -Music -Story and screenplay -Direction -Shahid's Dancing -Shahid and Kareena's chemistry is much better than Fida -The scenes with Paresh and Johnny

Negatives: -Upen Patel

Performances: Upen is OK.Nothing to boast about. Paresh was as usual. Johnny and his wife were loud but funny. Tanushree looked nice. Priyanka Chopra did OK. Kareena was great in her part Akshaye did very well which surprised me.Much better than his last release Shaadi Se Pehle Shahid did his role with such ease. This is easily one of his best performances.

Direction: This is one of Abbas-Mustan's finest work to date. They handled every frame beautifully.

Music: Himesh's music fit with the narrative.

All in all a wonderful film. The movie starts like a normal Bollywood flick then you're at the edge of your seat at intermission, and you're shocked at the climax. But i won't give the ending away.

Wow!
29 March 2006
this is the first Simbhu movie i've seen and wow!i just keep watching this movie over and over again.is it because of Simbhu himself?is it the songs?is it cuz Simbhu wrote it?or is it because of the twist? i must say the twist at the end had me shocked.i didn't expect it.i believed the whole thing to the twist.amazing.i loved Simbhu in both characters.more so Manmadhan than the twin.i loved Simbhu as a psycho.can't wait for Vallavan (the sequel).this movie is highly recommended.Simbhu is too good in this one.Jyothika is awesome.everyone else is perfectly casted.songs are amazing.i love En Asai Mythiliye and Thathai Thathai the most.the most amazing movie i've seen in a while.

Excellent
2 March 2006
This is my favorite Jamie Foxx movie.it was full of suspense the whole time.Jamie was too good in this movie. He really looked and acted like the character.Tom did well also but i feel Jamie overshadowed him.Michael Mann has shown that he knows what he's doing with this film. With Ali he showed that he was becoming better at his job,he shows it with this one.

i didn't watch this movie for the longest time because i wasn't very interested in movies when this one came out.But when i watched it, i couldn't believe i missed it after all those times it was at my house.Michael Mann and Jamie Foxx make an excellent team. Can't wait for Miami Vice.

Great
8 December 2005
this is a great movie that a family can watch.it has great performances by the lead pair.Rishi you can tell had lots and lots of energy.especially in the title song.the story is also something people can relate with.it's just like real life and it's interesting enough like you were there.the director and his team of writers were amazing.and the way you think that Amjad Khan is the villain was well written.

all the songs were good.but ZKDH is my fav.along with Hoga Tumse Pyaara Kaun.RD has gone full out for this soundtrack.looking forward to HKKN since it's basically the same team at it again.
