The hell that gets created by a 'tarnished blood'!
18 October 2018
Byomkesh Gowtro - Bengali Film Review

First of all - kudos to Mr. Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay for writing Rakter Daag - which means 'tarnished blood'. The film is based on the story of Rakter Daag. He has shown the importance of purity and chastity among both men and women...or else you lead a life full of miseries! The couple were rich and very well off...yet they hardly got any moment of happiness in their lives....such is the life in absence of moral values!! So there is this rich businessman who has a huge bungalow in a hill station - Mussoorie. He has a daughter who is very flirtatious and adventurous (basically immoral) and likes to sleep around with random men - whoever catches her fancy kinds! Because the film story dates back to 1960's, the usage of condoms or the availability of condoms were rare and so was unwanted pregnancy termination tablets - not very easily available! Thus the daughter becomes pregnant and she cannot tell who the father was...she was after all having an affair with many.....so in absence of sophisticated DNA tests etc...the male who made her pregnant went scot free! The father now had to look for a suitable groom immediately for his daughter or else people around would start blabbering about a child being born out of wedlock (awww...kuch to log kahenge - we are born to blabber you see)- as if people were not already talking about her flirtatious and shamelessly sleeping around nature!! As it happened - still happens in fact, the father finds a bright but poor employee in his organisation and asks him to marry her. The poor employee was very happy at the proposal and the fact that he became rich overnight! But all his excitement doused down on the 1st night itself! He found the wife was pregnant from beforehand.....and she could not even tell the name of the father...like had it been a case of jilted love story - poor innocent lady deeply in love - let the lover explore her more deeply - got pregnant and then was kicked on the butt by the lover - still understandable.....but here she could not tell the name of the male who had impregnated her....as she was dating random males at the same time - this her husband could not tolerate and thus the marriage never consummates! Son is born after 4 months of marriage. Son grows in a loveless environment. Well, whether the mother invited random males to her house - since she was not having any relationship with her husband - has not been shown in the film! Apparently, she decides to become a sati-savitri (epitome of chastity) after child birth - so the ex-sex-starved and incorrigibly flirtatious female gets busy learning classical music and did riyaas (practice) all day long.....quite a pandemonium she created in the otherwise quiet house! Son grows up and becomes 20 years old...when someone tells him that his father - who loiters around in his house and who he has been addressing as father since his birth...is not actually his father! He asks his mother about it and realizes that his mom had been an incorrigible flirt in her youth and he was born out of some random male she slept with one fine night...or maybe 2-3 fine nights - who knows! The son then decides to carry on with what his mother left after marriage.....become an incorrigible flirt himself and make the lives of men around (fathers, brothers, lovers, husbands) - absolutely miserable...by flirting and convincing the females of different families to sleep with him!! Wow! Like mother, like son......and like many other sex-starved flirtatious girls in the locality. Refugee status: One more thing has been shown here - the fact that poor refugees are made to do all dirty works by people with money and power. Because couple of refugees were given shelter in the house, they were exploited by the babus of the house....they had no option also I guess....for the empty stomach without a shelter on top - they have to compromise with sheer idiocy! And these missionaries who convert people to Christianity! The female who is given shelter by the missionary people is a night club cabaret dancer!!?? How did she gain by being associated with the missionaries or Chcristianity when eventually she had to perform in front of sleazy sex starved alcoholic loser pigs at night?! By the way, the flirtatious fellow gets murdered...who killed him is solved by detective Byomkesh.

When the 12 eggs go elsewhere...hell breaks lose!
7 October 2018
Andhadhun Film tells us a lot about the society and things that go on around us! They are as follows: What is the usual ulterior motive of a young female to marry someone double her age? Aged males should try to age more gracefully and not drool at girls as young as their grand daughters! They are mocked by majority and will surely be betrayed by the opportunist young female who lures such dullards by behaving sassily with them. Beware of celebrity husbands! They can bore you to death by their constant need of appreciation and accolade! You can be a doting wife...but if your husband finds a sexier, sassier female with zero scruples to screw around with - he will jump for it. Possessive doting wives can be very dangerous if they find out their husband's infidelity.... Don't expect any compassion from poor people who have been brought up in dire poverty - give a fraction of a chance, they will readily kill you for some money. Even if you decide to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to your surroundings....you will still be dragged into all the nonsense that is going on around you! What is the usual ulterior motive of a young female to marry someone double her age? Money of course. You will never hear a young female falling for a retired clerk drawing a measly pension ! It is always some rich, esp. celebrity kind of creepy male who wants to show around that his libido is still intact and females as young as his grand daughters are attracted towards him! Clever females from greedy and shameless family backgrounds trap such dull males and feed their ego..and pretend to be very happy with them. Obviously no young girl in her senses will like some ramshackle toothless bloke jumping on bed with her - after consuming Viagra - so what they do is, they keep some young virile gigolos to take care of her sexual needs! So money comes from the old hag and fun comes from the gigolo! Wow womania....this is celebrated among greedy pig families ! Well folks, honestly I do not want to elaborate on the other points I have written - since the movie got released just day before yesterday...I can't reveal the end - nor the plot....better go and watch the film...it is a hilarious thriller! Enjoy.

Once in friendzone, always in friendzone - not anymore!
1 October 2018
Batti Gul Meter Chalu

Once in friendzone, always in friendzone - film defies this statement.

Three childhood friends grow up together in the same locality, in the same school, in the same class. Two boys one girl.

(PS: Usually in India, when children grow up together - esp. in the same neighbourhood and parents also happen to be friends, such children land up becoming brothers and sisters because we Indians celebrate festivals like Bhai Dooj and Rakhi that keeps alive the purity of the brother sister relationship. Anyways, no such things take place in this film)

So they turn into adults. They are often seen hanging around and hugging around too.

(It is alright to be friends with boys - okay till a hand shake and a very light hug too perhaps. Happens in India and around the world. There are many who take the light hug very casually too - but many Indians do object to girls hugging boys and calling it a friendly hug. Though it can actually be a purely friendly hug - but it is quite an eye sore for many Indians. Even I feel that bodily distance should be maintained - one may talk about lot many topics but physical touch should be avoided.)

Both the boys, now men, secretly loved their girl friend - the friend who happened to be a girl i.e.- and desired to marry her as well!

(Do you now see why I gave such an elaborate description of maintaining safe distance from men in the previous paragraph? While the girl was giving them both a friendly hug, both men kept the intention to marry her!- Meaning? Meaning the supposedly friendly hug was not really a 'purely friendly' hug but had an element of 'desire, sensuality, love, lust' in it - at least from the side of her boy friends!)

So they ask her to date them for one week each in order for her to decide who would be a better life partner.

Sushil is a laywer who dupes people and earns money by settling 'out of court' disputes created by him.

Sundar has a printing press office of his own that he is trying hard to establish.

Sushil woos Nauti with expensive gifts, fun filled life, going out and eating is restaurants. (a song here....that says in the era of anti-hero.....: When you getting Gabbar, why go for Samba, When you getting gold, why go for tamba (copper)!!

Sundar woos her by making tea for her, taking her to his office and sharing the tiffin.

Eventually Nauti decides to choose Sundar crusing Sushil's ego into several pieces! Deep sigh - at least some good message this film has for the youth!

By the way, film tells the story of inflated electricity bills in rural India and how simpletons are taken for a ride.

Manto (2018)
6/10
An author who lived in the present....& suffered!
24 September 2018
Manto

Based on the true story of a famous pre-independence Urdu author Saadat Hasan Manto. Five of his stories are shown in this film which are as follows:

Parents as pimps Tired Prostitute Cold Meat Reactions of a Raped victim Lunatics Exchange - Toba Tek Singh

I am giving the details of each story:

Parents as pimps

A barely 12 years old girl is getting ready - her mother is helping her get ready and in comes the father hurriedly to take her to Babus waiting in the car. Two old babus and their driver see the young girl and the driver feels that the girl is way too young - but her father confirms that she knows her job well!

They take her to the sea beach and generally play around - later the driver is shown to drop her at her home - he gives her a 10 rupee note but she returns it saying that she did not do anything so why should she take the money! Basically showing that the driver took pity on the girl - and unlike her own father - he saved her from the 2 aged beeps by getting them totally drunk....or else they may have used the girl for oral sex or sodomy - whatever!

All three in the car were Indians - moneyed Indians who had a car and a driver too! Our poor freedom fighters were dying young on the streets of our motherland and here - at the same time - some Indians had no scruples whatsoever and probably were least bothered about the 'War of Independence' that the Indians were struggling with!

Poverty stricken parents sell their own children in the flesh market....but alas - no one till date could eradicate poverty - Hail India, Hail Indians!

Tired Prostitute

A pimp stops a man on the road and asks if he is interested in the services of a prostitute. The man agreed so the pimp goes inside a dilapidated building to wake up a half asleep prostitute. She says that she is too tired and will not work but rather sleep. Hearing this the pimp starts beating her and she too starts hitting him back....killing him accidentally! She sees that he is badly injured - maybe even dead - but goes off to sleep instead!

Prostitutes have zero emotions. Children born to them too have zero emotions....such children eventually become very eligible for acts of terrorism and brutal murders, rapes and mass destruction.

Cold Meat

While the India-Pakistan partition was on - law and order totally went haywire and people began looting each other. There was this Pakistani serial I used to watch on Zindagi Channel (not aired anymore!) - Waqt ne kiya kya hassen sitam - based on a novel - Bano - where it was shown how sikh men were attacking buses going to Pakistan and even murdering the people and taking away their jewellery and clothes! In fact it was also shown how the mother of the Sikh youth was so proud of her son to have looted so much gold etc!

Similarly in this story Manto describes that a Sikh man returns home and his wife wants him to make love to her....but he fails to do so. Enraged, the wife thinks that her husband is having an affair with another woman because of which he was unable to quench her sexual thirst. She threatens to kill him with a sharp knife if he does not tell her the truth....it is only then he tells her that he had barged into a house and murdered some family members - but he saw a very attractive girl so he took her on his shoulders instead - thinking he will devour her first before killing her - but when he lays her on the ground - he found that she was already dead! He was shocked to see that he had been carrying a dead body all the way to enjoy her.....

So basically we do not need outsiders to destroy us.....our own people are sufficient to kill and finish everything! Imagine what kind of people we co-exist with - when there was peace, these very people must have met and enjoyed togetherness but just as soon as there was unrest and ruckus....everyone wnated to loot, kill, rape, murder!! Similar thing has been shown in 1947, Earth (starring Aamir Khan and Nandita Dutta).

Reactions of a raped victim

A father is searching for his lost teenage daughter in a refugee camp and is running helter skelter to find her whereabouts....people are even seen making fun of the poor old man. He reaches a room where patients are lying and happens to see his daughter lying on one of the beds. There was a window near the bed so the doctor asks the father to open the window...while the half dead girl heard the words 'open it' she unconsciously started opening her salwar.....meaning she had reached some such place where she was constantly raped - multiple times by many men!! Similar thing has also been shown in 'Begum Jaan' (starring Vidya Balan) and its Bengali version too - starring Rituparna.

Lunatics Exchange - Toba Tek Singh

Story narrates that post independence, the lunatics of respective countries will be reached to their own lands. ...but there is still a lot of confusion as to which place belongs where...so the aged mad man dies on the Noman's land.

Saadat Hasan Manto believed in writing what was prevalent at the present moment. He lived in the present - but alas the 'play-it-safe' authors only wrote hopeful romantic - basically useless - stuff and the publishers also played it safe by publishing romantic chick lits! One thing that went against Manto's writing style was that he used explicit sexual descriptions, which was thought of as 'porn' - which was banned in both the countries during that time....

He did not believe in sugar coating anything - he presented things as is. He even said to one of his friends that when he sees sleazy drunk males entering the Red Light Areas - he cannot paint a rosy picture of the gory incidents that took place there!

During the partition, he had to leave Bombay and return to Pakistan where his blunt acidic writing style was not appreciated and accepted. He even had to face a trial for 'Cold Meat' ! Although he loved his wife and daughters but he could not handle failure and took to heavy drinking...that ruined him all the more!

Few Scenes:

An Indian director is checking out females - how much they can expose and eventually he chose the fair and bold one who had taken off her dress in a jiffy...unlike the dark one who was hesitating in taking off her clothes!! ...and now we have several fairness creams sold in the market...girls and even boys dying to become fair...for what? To get selected to shed your dress in front of the camera!? Struggle for freedom or independence did not make much of a difference to rich and famous people - they continued to live lavishly ever after....in a scene yesteryear actor Ashok Kumar was in the car with Manto when some mobs stopped the car...but up on seeing famous actor Ashok Kumar, they let them go! So basically the rich and the affluent people - who were happily serving the Britishers and even emulating their lifestyles - eg. females wearing plunging necklines, consuming alcohol etc. - did not feel any difference pre- or post independence.....life remained the same for them....night parties, bathing in alcohol, cabaret dance, prostitution.....everything continued as it was!

What is the use of so many deaths and struggle?!

The Nun (2018)
2/10
Have u any clue about the powers of Almighty God?! r u marketing the devil?
18 September 2018
Frenchie, a villager who delivers goodies to the nuns residing at the Carta Monastery, finds a dead body of a Nun hanging at the entrance! The entire village comes to know of it and so does the Vatican who send Father Burke & Sister Irene to investigate the matter.

All three of them, Frenchie, Burke and Irene reach the monastery and are confronted with all sorts of ugly demonic experiences! A monastery that is occupied by nuns who are always chanting the name of Mother Mary and Lord Christ will be infested by demons...? How come?

Such images and films weaken the faith and belief of humans in God! Seems like the entertainment industry is basically working for the demons and devils and helping him (the devil) out to establish his reign forever on Mother Earth!

The film has shown a headless statue of Lord Christ and also shown the cross inverting as the demon approaches the helpless nuns who are chanting the Holy name ceaselessly! Really! So what does it imply? Constant chanting of the name of God is not enough....in fact it is useless? If the chanting of Holy name cannot save you from the tortures of the devil...then why would anyone chant His name?

Angry father or jealous husband?

There is a scene when Father Burke and Sister Irene knock at the door of Frenchie - he opens the door and asks (glancing at Sister Irene) whether the lady has come with an angry father or a jealous husband!? What does such a statement indicate? That he was happily leading an adulterous & licentious life in the village...and also the fact that in his village there were ladies - both married and unmaried - who were sleeping with him for fun and lust.

In a scene the village bartender tells Frenchie that the demons of the Abbey had started infesting the village as well....and that is why young girls were committing suicide and untoward incidents were happening in the village - really!?

What about the 7th commandment ' Thou shalt not commit adultery.' (Exodus 20:14)

Honestly readers, I have never read the Holy Bible fully - but have learnt things - basically the gist of it. Moses is one of the most revered characters in the Christian religious scriptures. (Moses, Hebrew prophet and leader who, in the 13th century bce, delivered his people from Egyptian slavery. ) Giving in to lust, greed, jealousy, anger, avarice etc...all lead you away from God and anything that is holy and takes you on the path of hell - the Kingdom of Devil! So humans who cannot adhere to moral and chaste values, get drunk and consume drugs, womanise and disrespect fellow human beings...cheat, murder, rob, betray.....are all already working for the devil....so why be so surprised by gory deaths and hideous endings!!?

PS: I never watch horror films....this film I was forced to watch!! I wonder why!?

I am sharing a personal experience here - I live in India and during the festive season, our Electricity board carries out some maintenance works and let us know beforehand about the date & time our block will have load shedding! In order to escape the summer heat, me and my friend in the same block, decided to catch a film ....we reached the movie hall and only this film ticket was available....very reluctantly I bought the ticket - because folks - I hate horror films...don't like the after effects actually - the ugly faces and sudden jerks!! But after watching the film I felt that probably Gods wanted me to see the film (I am a true blue devotee of God actually...cannot tolerate any nonsense in the name of God you see) - such blasphemy huh!?

Sometimes I think the entertainment world is directly under the payroll of the devil! The things they show and the way they show it ...it has become pretty evident that their reporting Head is the devil himself!

Finally- folks, if you all have alienated yourselves away from God - it also means you have decided to support the devil. The devil only knows to destroy and draw sadistic pleasure upon watching the suffering of human beings.

An example here - suppose you open up a night club with strip tease shows and free flowing alcohol with complete adultery full on...what kind of visitors do you expect to come to your club? Only losers, cheaters, frustrated fools, sex starved creeps, thieves...and other degraded souls.....similarly folks, Frenchie (Maurice) in the film was a womaniser - he was breaking a father's trust and a husband's love, he was luring women into lust and making them unchaste - he was already a supporter of the devil...why would the devil not possess him huh?! Devil found an ideal house in his body after all.....ever thought about this?

Sad lives of New age modern women!
2 September 2018
Film talks about New age modern women. According to this film - new age women - be it ultra modern, modern or not modern at all - are basically sad, depressed, stressed, confused & cheated! And since the new age women are being shown, new age men are also shown along with their female counterparts - who turn out to be - sissy, cheaters, losers, strugglers and frustrated! But obvious though - if females are unhappy, by default, males will also be unhappy - we complement each other after all! Let us handle the ladies one by one - Ira - A reporter cum photographer - ambitious and works hard with the desire to get promoted and for salary hikes etc. Very natural. She is in a live-in relationship with a male who stays at home and pretends to be a goody goody wife to her. Very clever girl to have chosen a man who agreed to cook and clean home front while she is slogging her as* off in the office! Clever man too huh! - sit at home, cook and use her ATM card to buy stuff! So two clever people decide to live in and live happily ever after! Wow! She is usually shown stressed almost always as the boss pressurises her a lot. Because of work pressure, she is reluctant to get married and always delaying...because of which the male in her life is pretty upset - where else will he get such fantastic life huh - sitting at home, cooking and cleaning and enjoying life. After marriage, they will obviously hire a maid so even that much will be erased from the male's life - wow! Child birth will be borne by the female of course - only I guess nappy changing and rocking the baby to sleep etc. will come as an extra load for the male later....again a maid can be hired for the same.....anyways - all this is not shown in the film - just my future projection.... The male in her life has a sister who is a blogger. She is shifting base to Bangalore - moving away from parents and going to live alone in Bangalore! For a home based job - why does one want to shift base.....probably she though being away from parents, she can meet new people, men...to live happily ever after with...so she was going away to try her luck elsewhere. Since her brother was happily living-in with a female in the same town as his parents....she could not be as brash...so the decision to change city I guess!

Miss Sen - A successful corporate business woman. Separated from husband and her daughter. Daughter had already died but the loser husband had kept it a secret from his wife and was happily extracting money from her to enjoy his life. Strangely enough - as it was revealed later - the wife knew about her daughter's death but was continuing to give him money just in order to see how cheeky and cheap can he get. She lost her self control and asked him to get lost when she found out that he was catching a flight to some hill station with another female! So daughter's death was not as devastating for her as her ex-hubby's body being enjoyed by another female! Hail Successful woman! Rupa - A house wife who desperately wants to become a mother but her impotent husband is incapable of even making love to her - leave alone father a child! She is taking medicinal help to increase her hubby's libido but her husband is least bothered about all this! He does not work because they have a huge house which they give away to tenants and that is how they earn their livelihood. She has a younger brother in law, who eve-teases her often and proposes that she sleeps with him instead to conceive. She mentions to her friend that she would love to wear off shouldered short dresses and high heels like many girls wear - she thought it to be very modern and stylish! Must be belonging to some rural remote village where girls think that city girls - who put on cheap dresses exposing their vital stats - are very lucky!! Later she found out that she was suffering from lung cancer - last stage- so she decided to sell away her gold ornaments, buys a maxi, goes to a beauty parlour and walks around on the streets wearing the new dress. Very sad life indeed! Media has eaten up the heads of such less literate village belles by showing cheap actresses and models being very happy to show their cleavage, legs and butts to everyone in public! Sadly many females crave to be as shameless as the models and actresses are shown to be...probably many such village belles don't know that such dressed up girls are mostly pick-up girls and sex-workers in the city!

Suzy - She is an artist. She has a son. She is shown to have a drug addict/ drunkard husband who beat her up often giving a disturbed childhood to the son. She is struggling to make both ends meet. She is sad. Women should be very prudent while selecting a life partner I must say! It is definitely better to be alone than to be tied to some loser - drunkard, drug addict, womaniser and mess up their life completely! She was single handedly bringing up her son, had no job, had no fees to pay for her son's education....and her loser hubby had left her without even bothering for the son! Meher - A wannabe model. She wants to be an actress. She is faced by casting couch males in the industry but she never takes the easy route to stardom - since girls in the glamour world are often seen as game girls with zero scruples - she is shown a bit different - and hence suffering endlessly. As the saying goes - In Rome, do what the Romans do.....similarly, in the glamour world - do what the other glamour girls do...... Any eye-candy or take home visuals for perverts - Not much, only that there are couple of road side singers where the lead female singer is wearing a 2 inch long frock barely managing to cover her panty...with wind blowing and all....

Poor little confused mind!
26 June 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Ahare Mon - Film Review

What happens when - You have good (rather great connection) with the film world personnel You have access to rich film producers You know directors who will do justice to your story line... But you have no story!!

Ahare Mon gets created!

Honestly speaking I went to watch the film for Ritwick Chakraborty - I quite like his screen presence and of course he is a very natural actor - any role you give him - he will do full justie to it - mighty talented - no doubt! In this film he has played the role of a petty thief - he is obviously good at it ....but what I am disturbed about is the story line of the film! Very poor story...maybe as poor as a wandering mon (mind!)

Ahare Mon literally means 'pitying the mind' like 'poor mind', 'awww...poor little mind' - the games mind play with us and how we waste our lives in pursuit of our silly stupid imaginations that get created in our minds. The mind creates illusions based on the information fed to our brains. Information is fed to us from various sources...I need not elaborate on that!

Let me come to the movie:

Purnendu Pahari - Is an immigration officer whose job is to check passports & and visas and give a go-ahead stamp to the traveller. He happens to meet a young and attractive lady who was going abroad and he asks her if she was going alone. When she said she was - he started questioning her to which she gives him a dressing down and he is kinda shocked to see a lady responding in such an aggressive manner. Later he mellows down and she also apologises.

His colleagues ask him as to why he did not get married - to which he said that his father had died when he was young and ever since then he had to look after his ailing mother so he never got the time to marry! His friends ask to look for another - high paying job..since he had the SC/ST quota so getting a job for him was easy! - shows how insulting people can be and also jealous because of the reservation system. Pahari had to quietly gulp down the dose of insult regarding his SC/ST status! Reservation system should be taken away completely - education and living standards should be raised for every citizen....but at the level of competition, there should be zero reservation - this is injustice towards those who are academically good and intelligent! Also there are SC/STs who are capable of getting through competitive exams on the basis of talent and intelligence also - but even if they get the job according to their qualification - still life long they have to listen to sarcasm ad taunt from others - it is very humiliating.

Anyways, so this lady (Ramona) comes back from abroad and gets him chocolates! That's it! He thought that he may get a chance with her...he forgot all about his age - he looked 20 years her senior to her...yet he started writing letters to her.....not saying directly that he loves her...but indirectly indicating that if she agrees....they can have a roaring love-affair! The lady comes to his office one day and tells him that she is a lesbian...and bids him goodbye! Mr. Pahari was speechless but could not do anything about it. She then gives him a free ticket to Bangkok.....yeah--- a place infamous for tickle massage centres and a lot more such stuff! But hang on - he had been abroad before also - to Thailand - when he was younger....and unfortunately he had fallen in love with a married woman who was also a mother of 2 kids!! More about it later!

The petty Thief - Michael Tendulkar - as he calls himself in the film is a petty thief who climbs up the drain pipes to steal things. He does his homework well though. He first finds out who in the locality is going on a foreign trip, for how many days etc...oly then he decides to steal! Some planning required huh! While he is stealing, he happens to meet another girl there who had the house keys with her and she was just spending time in the plush house of her friend. So it seemed that she probably was some slum dweller - living hand to mouth - living in some basti - poor - so she was spending time in a rich atmosphere - a feel good factor! She looked very excited to meet the petty thief and decides to make her life more interesting by joining hands with him! What looked silly was the fact that she was constantly conversing with the petty thief in English...and surprisingly - the thief was responding to her questions - that she asked in English - meaning he understood English...but could not converse well - as he was replying in Bengali!!

They both then become shoplifters and start enjoying life duping people and feeling great about it!

Later in the film we come to know that she is the daughter of an oncologist and are pretty well off themselves...like he just gives a sum of Rs. 3 lakhs to his daughter on a single request! In India this kind of an attitude from a father comes if you are filthy rich! So basically a filthy rich daughter of an oncologist falls for an uncouth, uneducated thief - ridiculous really - why do film makers show such concepts....raising the expectations of mediocre males!!

The old age Home

There is an old age home where aged people are dumped by their children. One such aged lady joins the home and tells another oldie that her husband was in the Army and she was the mother of 2 sons. Her Army officer husband never got any time for her and was always posted in different cities (field areas maybe) so she was raising her children alone.Once they had decided to go abroad - Thailand - for vacation but at the last moment they had to cancel...yet she went alone with her kids. She meets a very soft spoken man - Mr Pahari - a younger version of him of course...and they fall in love. Nothing physical...just chemical..in the sense emotional love. But because she was married, he had told her that if ever she is left alone - she can come to him.

Listening to her story, the oldie companion of hers decided to take her to the post office from where she received a letter from him every moth without fail! But upon reaching the PO - it was found that Mr. Pahari had post dated letters and given it to the officer in-charge to release every month !! (kind of scheduling a post or a wish that we do on social networks nowadays!) When they enquired where he lived...the Post master declared that he was no more...he had died couple of months ago! Heart broken, the aged lady returns to the home for the aged with the aged companion.

But was Mr. Pahari dead!? Nope he wasn't!! He had now fallen for a fresh meat...female - who in turn was a lesbian - so she dumped him!! He had gotten over the aged lady and was consumed totally by the young smart woman (bah re mon!)...so he asked his friend to make up a story of his death so that the aged lady does not bother him anymore! Had the lesbian not come in his life...he could have lived happily ever after with the aged lady his age.....but the MON was the culprit here ...the mon wanted a much younger and fresher female to live-in with! So PAhari lost the chance of living with someone happily ever after...his duty remained to serve his mother till she was alive.....and later live with the fond memories of the lesbian.

End of Story.

Film shows the pains of parenting!
20 May 2018
Haami - A harmless & friendly peck on the cheek Film shows the pains of parenting! The film deals with primary section - children between the age group of 5-7 years - when their little brains are most active and receptive to whatever is going on around them. Children learn the maximum during this phase of life. So it is quite obvious that parents become paranoid about who the child is interacting with! There is a scene in the film where a college professor actually asked the principal as to why did she allow his daughter to sit with the son of a nouveau riche furniture businessman!! The businessman could afford to admit his son to an expensive school by paying the fees but what bothered the professor was the values he would be getting through his mediocre minded parents!! Goodness gracious me!! I cannot even imagine that such thoughts can even cross your mind....I have done my schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya - never have we been made to think like this about anyone - either by parents or by teachers!! This was honestly taking things to the last limit! But I guess with the rapidly growing technology and with children having an access to smart phones, all sorts of things can be downloaded - so if the parents are careful and concerned - they may be blocking adult rated cheap and sickening blue film clips so that their children don't get exposed to adult stuff at a tender age....but then there are also parents who are least bothered about such things and probably are themselves indulging in idiocies (ref. Tumhari Sullu - the son in this film carried adult magazines to school...and he was only 9 or 10 years old - and the mother was clueless about her son's antics).....children of such parents will definitely ruin all the efforts of responsible and concerned parents!

This is what basically has been shown in the film - various family backdrops are shown in the film - of a businessman, of a locality councillor, of a learned professor...and their respective wives! Children are just the reflectors of their parents after all - and thus in spite of being in the same school and under the same teacher, the children were pretty much individualistic....which represents their family background.

So in this film, a boy just kisses (a harmless peck on the cheek) his class friend - a girl, and she thinks that she has become pregnant...because that is how her mother had explained about pregnancy.

Later by mistake the bus conductor is abused of 'Child Sex Abuse' (CSA) but he was innocent. Many things have been introduced in schools like cctv cameras - keeping a watch on the happenings in and around the school - well such things were totally absent during our times.

Although in this film the bus conductor was innocent but we do hear cases and read in Newspapers also about CSA cases in school premises, in school busses too. Such incidents leave a lifelong scar on the fragile minds and hearts of children that later even develops into mental illness!

This film shows how parents have become so paranoid regarding their children ....but then are they wrong? Given the rise in ragging, bullying, rapes, murders, organ harvesting....which parent can rest peacefully when the child is away from them?

Bholi Punjaban - the lady Don rocks!
20 May 2018
Fukrey Returns - A Review by Kalyug Briefs

When a woman decides to get her work done...she can utilize even the most useless 'Fukreys' and come out with flying colors!

This is what the film is all about! Bholi Punjaban is a lady Don who was previously a brothel Madam plus had several other criminal projects under her wing - distributing drugs to frustrated college students, providing sex workers to the frustrated slimy pigs of the nation etc. She was caught and sent behind the bars because of 4 young fools! That happened in part I.

Part II - she gets released with the help of a corrupt politician who wants to become the Chief Minister! She was angry with the 4 young fools so she decides to make them work for her and collect the money that she had to pay to the corrupt minister - 10 crore in 10 days!

They open up a 'Get rich quick' scheme and several people invest. Unfortunately they fail and people run after them like blood thirsty hounds. Later somehow the good politician helps them get the corrupt man behind the bars and they are all saved! Everything forgiven and forgotten!

Some random scenes:

2 zoo keepers steal beef meat that belonged to the tigress! Both were discussing whether beef was banned for the animals at the zoo! Shows that even if you are employed, you can still steal...even steal from animals! Humans are ready to eat the putrid meat kept aside for animals also!

The 2 African stooges or body guards of Lady Don were doing Seva in langar - washing utensils and distributing prasaad to people at the langar...but as soon as their boss got released they went back to their old profession - stealing animals, stealing human organs etc! The lady Don had hired doctors and nurses to steal organs of people - eyes, kidney and export them!! All this to make money. At the end, it is shown that this lady was forgiven and she is travelling with the Chief Minister in his car!! Shows that thugs, smugglers...basically criminals involved in organ harvesting, drug dealing, sex worker providing - which of course will include girl child kidnapping etc...is all forgiven by the Government of India...because such are the smart opportunist people who are required to run the nation...a nation of fukreys!?

And what about all the Seva done in the Langar? All went kaput? No change of mind and heart? No change of spirit or soul took place in spite of working and staying in a religious place for so long!? SO basically it is quite possible that people visit temples etc. for time pass or do some seva thinking it to be a kind of bribe for the Gods!! People judge Gods by their standards after all!

Much ado about nothing!

Warning: Spoilers
Padmavat - The Review

Much ado about nothing!

I went through Wikipedia - read the legends about Rani Padmini - about talking parrot Hiraman describing the beauty of Rani Padmini to Ratan Singh - the King of Chittor! Sounds so fairy tale-ish!

The biggest thing being this - taken from Wikipedia ::The earliest source to mention the Chittor siege of 1303 CE is Khaza'in ul-Futuh by Amir Khusrau, who accompanied Alauddin during the campaign. Khusrau makes no mention of any Padmavati or Padmini.

This seems to be a fantasy of romantically inclined courtesans/ jesters/ entertainers - the same ones who created a hype about Anarkali and Prince Salim! Anakkali being the daughter of the aayah - governess of the Prince - always the fantasy of poor people to link themselves with rich and affluent people - to lead a luxurious life! It's kind of hope given to commoners that one day a very rich Prince will come and marry you...all fairy tales have this one common link!! Just imagine the fantasy - Salim - belonging to Islam - they are allowed more than 1 wife...and being an emperor - he could marry several women of high families plus were also given sex-maids for fun and entertainment - why on earth would a male who has so many options - choose to be loyal and love only one single woman - that too born to a poor aayah - could she be more beautiful than some well bread Princess who probably bathed in almond milk and raisins?! Where is the logic? Just a fantasy - period.

As far as Jauhar is concerned - it was very common during the early centuries...it was still prevalent till early 19th century too - as Sati Pratha - die on the funeral pyre of the husband - that was eradicated by men like Raja Rammohan Roy nd Vidyasagar...and many other men who acquired the light of knowledge and decided to implement it too!

So Jauhar is not a myth - it happened - some queens and the wives of Ministers/soldiers burnt themselves alive - so that they are not raped and humiliated by the soldiers of the enemy kingdom. Because people have a tendency to fantasize love and romanticism...the poets or writers wrote about Allaudin's obsession for a beautiful Queen of Chittor so that the story of jauhar is kept alive - the story of chastity and sacrifice done by women is kept alive...because otherwise only the strength and valour of men is talked about - sacrifice of women are happily forgotten!...after all the writers are also men...that time women hardly were educated!!

Lastly - during our struggle for freedom from the Britishers also - there are several cases of women jumping into wells and from high-rises so that the local creeps don't gang rape them....films like Hey Ram - Kamal Hasan, SRK ; 1947 Earth - Aamir Khan; Pinjar, and many other films on independence - before, while, after - women have been raped, gang raped and murdered.......

And let me add this also - if even today - with so much technological advancement - CCTV etc. - if some communal riots take place - women will be pulled out of their houses and raped and murdered and killed in front of the males of their families...and they will just be silent spectators....watch the film 'Airlift' - Akshya Kumar - you will see how young boys - between 18 to 21 years were pulling men out of their huge mansions and shooting them....and then....well - this is what will happen everywhere because no steps are taken to motivate people...the dons hire young blood and go on a bombing and shooting spree.....and we, the people, abuse on social networks! Observations from the film::

Such beastly creatures became the rulers of Delhi - Delhi Sultanat ke maalik were beasts!! The way they were dancing like cannibals...it really gave me the chills to even imagine the status of women who were having to live with those kind of beastly males!! Yikes!

So sex-maids from Misr (Egypt) were brought to entertain the soldiers and kings! Sex slave trafficking is a very old profession huh! Still going full on!

The females (sex-maids) dancing and Allaudin's own wife was much prettier than Padmini!

I hope Indian Men with ussool (strict adherence to rules & regulations) learn from this film to 'Nip the devil in the bud' - or else the devils will 'Nip the angels in the bud'!

Homosexuality was given birth to because of such wars and aggressiveness - soldiers entertained themselves sodomizing etc...what else could they do? Few sex maids went to the kings and the senior ministers...what about the young and hot blooded men?! Homosexuality was the only choice left to them!

And last but not the least - during interval they were screening the sponsors of the film Padmavat...and guess who did we see on the screen? Sunny Leone advertising for Manforce condoms.....the entire hall burst out laughing - how much more contradictory can we, the people ,be!

The soul continues to live - remembering the tortures of previous lives!
20 May 2018
Pari - Film Review by Kalyug Briefs

Do watch the film folks!

It is about how badly you get tied down in the web of evil spirits when you take to vices....not necessarily in current lifetime but maybe in one (or many) of the lifetimes - when you give in to evil desires - indulged in the 7 sins - lust, greed, anger, sloth....and those samskars (karmas) stick to your soul for many lifetimes....

Time and again you have to go through the tortures of hell - even while being born on the temporary Earth realm - still you continue to suffer (yea, in spite strict laws and orders and cops and cctvs and all those technological inventions - nothing could intervene with the law of karmas - could it?)

With some light of knowledge, those under the spell of evil spirits try to escape - and this is the story of such an escape! Very difficult indeed! The evil has a huge fraternity after all - they can make life like a hell pit for anyone trying to escape their clutches - this is the story of one such entity - who tried to release her clan from the evil spell - Pari.

Anushka was just excellent!

Is education teaching us to be selfish?
20 May 2018
102- Not Out - Film Review

Story of two 'nice and clean' aged men - father and son - and a selfish, spineless male who happened to have been reared by the same nice buddhas (aged men)!

One was 102 years old (Dattatreya) and his son was 75 years old (Babulal). Babulal and his wife had one son. They were simple parents who did everything to raise their only son with the best of education etc. Since their son used to like listening to the church bell - so his parents used to take him to the church etc. Basically doting parents - which Indian parents are pretty much famous for.

But when the son grows up - he turns out to be a pure Assh*le! He showed a keen interest to go abroad - in the US - for further studies and work and Babulal did everything to send him abroad (breaking Fixed deposits/ PF etc). Once he went abroad, he never bothered to return...not even when his mother was on her death bed - she died chanting his name - Amol - but the son did not come to see his mother.

Amol then even got married abroad without telling his parents! Maybe he found some green card holder female who readily slept with him (it is very common nowadays - even in India - like girls immediately get laid if they see a male with a promising career...or who spends money on them!). Moreover I have heard that Indian males are much in demand abroad - because they are known for their loyalty and they basically stick to one life partner..unlike the males abroad who are always on the look out for greener pastures and kick out their live-in partners (even wives) if they show their attitudes or if the male finds someone more sexier than his wife.....Indian males may have an extra-marital affairs but they seldom leave their wives...because they bother a lot about reputation etc.....and if a male in India gets the stamp of a divorcee.....he is not looked at with much respect (actually Indians have a tendency to treat women with kid-gloves.... So if a man divorces his wife - it is usually understood that the man must have been at fault as the 'pure bovine doves' - women i.e. cannot do anything wrong!) Because of fear of a bad name...males here somehow stick to their life-partners for very long......sometimes till death.

Anyway - whatever be the reason - Amol gets married to a female abroad and probably she did not want to visit her in-laws and go through any formalities of adjustment etc....and because she did not want to meet his parents, the spineless selfish Amol also thought it right to forget all about his parents...after all the new female in his life was taking more care of his needs....all his needs she was fulfilling - so what was the need for anyone else......

What You sow, so shall you reap - Black-Male
20 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Main characters: Dev, Reena ; Dolly, Ranjit

Dev is the husband of Reena. Arranged marriage. Reena had a lover (Ranjit) who had left her suddenly and when he returned, he had married a filthy rich lady - because of her money of course. Dolly was an alcoholic and suspected her good looking husband (Ranjit) - she thought he was having an affair elsewhere - she thought right. Dolly treated Ranjit like a dog and expected him to always wag his tail in front of her - or else she would stop giving him his pocket money! So basically Ranjit was an unemployed good-for-nothing male who had no brains - just a good face and body - thus had no job and all he did was lick the feet of his rich in-laws.

Since he was being treated like a dog at home, Ranjit found out that his ex-lover - Reena was married to a non-descriptive male (Dev) and she was basically unhappy. Ranjit gets in touch with Reena and continue having fun and sex in the house of Dev - while he was in office.

Dev had a weird problem of his own - being married to a sexy siren - he still could not perform on bed! He was probably suffering form erectile dysfunction. He tried to masturbate with the pictures of equally non-descriptive photographs of females - those lying on the desks of his colleagues - yet failed at it. This reveals a very alarming quality of males...that they actually don't need a sexy siren to get turned on - just any picture can do for them! Meaning our world is unnecessarily spending millions on making a female look sexy and clicking her pictures and selling Men's magazines with those sexy pictures! It is not required at all - males do not need smooth skin or voluptuous sexy figure....jsut anyone can do for them.....well - that is what Dev (Irfan) revealed in this film!

Anyway the film proceeds - Dev happens to witness his wife in a compromising position with her lover and he starts blackmailing him (Ranjit). Ranjit starts blackmailing Reema in turn- so Reema extracts the same amount of money Dev had extracted from Ranjit to returns him back to him...this way the same money was rotating in different hands! Film also showed that people who know you well or know your secrets are actually the ones who screw you tight! Colleagues of Dev also start blackmailing him.

At the end - providence punished the wicked and the evil people amply - and Dev escaped from all the miseries smoothly!

Special Mention: Dev's boss. Shown as an extremely dumb man who is foreign returned and comes up with dumb ideas and spends thousands to materialize his dumb ideas - bribes Govt. officials to get his work done...but ultimately fails miserably! The dullard was trying to introduce toilet papers to Indians! There is no dearth of water in India - at least to wash ad clean....yet he thought it was a groovy idea to introduce toilet papers to those Indians who don't even have the concept of toilet...they go out with a lota to answer nature's call!

End of story.

Is war the ultimate solution? Agree? (Raazi?)
20 May 2018
The film is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka's novel Calling Sehmat which is inspired by real events. It is about an Indian spy married to a Pakistani military officer during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 on the order of her father!

Father pretended to be a Pakistani spy but was actually an Indian spy! He was double crossing basically - but because of an oft repeated phrase ' Everything is fair in love and war' - it was deemed okay by all! He was diagnosed of cancer so he wanted to hand over his job to his college attending daughter Sehmat. Sehmat agreed and learnt the nitty-gritties of becoming a successful spy.

She then married a Pakistani military officer and played the role of a wife to him.....but at the same time spying on them and informing the Indian intelligence about their plans. It wasn't an easy job at all...but she took the risk. She even killed one of the servants because he came to know of her intentions...later she even kills her brother-in-law.

Her husband comes to know about her and he decides to arrest her - in a state of confusion, she survives and witnesses the fact that the Indian intelligence would have killed her as well without much squirms! She also sees her husband die right in front of her.

She manages to reach India and fins out that she is pregnant. She decides to keep the child of the Pakistani. The child grows up to become a Naval officer. Sehmat reaches a secluded house somewhere and continues to live in guilt for the rest of her life...the guilt to killing a loyal servant, a man who was loyal to his Army and also happened to be her brother-in-law...and lastly her husband - all died for no grave reason...like they were not terrorists or rapists or smugglers or murderers - they were just military officers performing their respective duties with full loyalty and integrity!

What a waste of human life!

She Broke Down Completely A woman is bound to breakdown When she witnesses the brutality of war How men are killed mercilessly In the name of patriotism!

She is a woman after all She rears the infant in her womb For 9 long months followed by Mandatory sleepless nights required to Take care of the needs of the new born Followed by training the infant to eat, Drink, excrete, read, write, learn.... All this for what? to be duped, cheated, terrorized, killed? In the name of National integrity & patriotism?

At the time of Social evolution When humans were ignorant and hence barbaric, We can understand the need of wars and strategies to protect the land, women and children... But wars are still on.....why? In spite of so much knowledge & wisdom Humans are still waging wars against each other Isn't that so dumb? The Defence Services will still be there To maintain the discipline at borders and within To beautify Motherland & keep it that way ...all that is fine - but why wage wars?

Wars make women feel the futility of motherhood! Why on earth should we, the women, give birth to children... .....later to be devoured by another son - born to another mother at a different spot on same Mother Earth?!

Judwaa 2 (2017)
Judwa 2 – Film defies astrology so totally!
15 October 2017
Judwa 2 – is a film about twins separated at birth. One reaches the slums of Versova and the other reaches the plush bungalow of his parents in London! One becomes an illiterate, tapori (brash) kind of person – happily singing, dancing and flirting with any female he sets his eyes on and the other is suave, sophisticated and gentle.

The above makes one wonder about the elaborate astrological charts that get generated for individuals! How on earth the twins had such a drastically different astral configuration….they both had exactly the same time, date, place even minute of birth…yet both had such different lifestyles!

So does it mean Karmas override Horoscope? Maybe the two different souls had different set of karmas and hence one reached the slums and the other reached the bungalow!

Second observation – Indian cinema use females as fillers to give cheap thrills to we, the people! Both the young and attractive heroines were made to wear scanty panties and asked to jump high and low so that the viewers catch a glimpse of their chaddies! Period. And then they showed that a filthy rich daughter of a mall owner went all dizzy up on being kissed by the slum dweller of Versova! This has been shown in many films by the way! As far as I remember – in Betaab – Sunny Deol kissed unruly Amrita, In Hum Dil de chuke Sanam, Ajay Devgan kissed Aishwarya…and many more such films….and mind you that becomes the turning point in the heroin's life! She becomes totally smitten – dhili-dhali – silly pilly after being smooched! Ridiculous! In real life such an incident will usually call for a lot of trouble for the male – in Kolkata, better not try these stunts or you would be beaten publicly!

Anyway, so basically often it is shown in Hindi films that a filthy rich girl falls for a rustic beggar!Such concepts raise the expectations of the poor slum dwellers and such smarties start singing and eve teasing ordinary family girls thinking that if filthy rich female in the film could fall for a slum dweller, why wouldn't some middle class family girl fall for me!? And when nothing of this sort happens, we hear cases of acid bombs and rapes and murders! Kiss trends in Hindi Cinema

Whatever little understanding I have of this world, I think the richer you are, the more heightened and refined would be your tastes…I really don't understand why Bollywood shows such concepts of utter mismatch! Even in the film ' Jab Harry Met Sejal' – the diamond merchant's daughter sticks to a tour guide….gets overly pally with him and even performs like a raunchy pole dancer to impress him!! How stupid can that be!

Third observation: Charles, the criminal, had a very loyal and faithful group of people working for him! Wonder what kind of counselling or incentives these criminals give that their employees stick to them like glue! Need to learn such things from criminals!

After donating surplus sperms as Vicky Donor, he started to suffer from Erectile Dysfunction!
6 September 2017
The film deals with what exactly is essential for a marriage to be successful. The answer is Sex...or to put it more sophisticatedly 'Physical Compatibility'.

The girl, Sugandha, has been shown to be a very simple small town girl with pretty orthodox parents – who sent her always to girl's school, girl's college and even in swimming classes for girls only. She has one close friend – who is of course a girl, with whom she shares her feelings and other secrets.

In comes Mudit in her life who stalks her often but never approaches her. She also liked the attention she got from Mudit and wished that he would come and confess his fondness for her. Mudit is very free with his mother and tells her about his weakness for a girl – but he can't approach her. His mother suggests that he should directly send them a matrimonial invite to sort things out.

Sugandha is both happy but a bit upset too as she wanted a proper love and courtship period and decides to go around and feel being loved till the time they get married. It is during this period that Mudit realizes that he is unable to get turned on by Sugaandha. There is a lot of pandemonium regarding this but eventually things are sorted out. They get married and after about 6 months or so, Mudit successfully 'performs' on bed! Some scenes from the film: With only one day left to get married, Mudit takes Sugandha inside a room – right in front of all the family members and relatives...afterwards, when Mudit comes out – he says that 'He had done it right' whereas Sugandha says – He had failed – maybe meaning to say that she had not been able to experience the climax of love making.....they say 80% of married Indian women have not experienced this all important climax at all.....though how the consensus is taken is not really known to me......and it is because of this reason that Indian women are frustrated and dissatisfied!! – that was quite a ridiculous scene btw.! Poor sugandha takes help of a porn film (Blue film) to learn the tricks of turning on men! Sad scene. Although it is seen and said also about males that it does not take them much to get turned on – as they can get aroused by looking at a dead image of a nude/ semi-nude model in glamour magazine.

Shocking truth revealed about Erectile Dysfunction by Mudit and his ex-girlfriend: In one scene, a slim girl, Mudit's ex girlfriend or maybe a fling - who appears to be a game girl too – in the sense – the types who dive on bed with any male they meet – just as long as they are rich or physically appealing or sexually virile or for whatever reason – claims that Mudit was very compatible with her and was not going through any such dysfunction. Mudit agrees that with the game girl – he was actually very virile and sexual performance was breeze with her! This means that this type of abnormality is more because the female is not physically attractive enough....phew! see this is what I always say – down with porn films and magazines! They make you form a different image of the opposite sex and the entire life goes wasted in search of some sexy siren you have watched in some cheap blue film! But Mudit was quite an intelligent man! He was looking for a wife material – and in Sugandha, he saw a perfect match! All he had to do was somehow impregnate her and after that, she would just take care of his household, looking after his children and house and of course serve his parents. That is why, although the slim ex-girlfriend (Slimy) was an instant turn-on but Mudit went for Sugandha...for he knew that Slimy would turn into a 'Desperate Housewife' whose priority would be to be on the look out for young virile males in the locality to have sex with...for such females children or serving in-laws etc. does not exist...many Saavdhan India and Crime Patrol episodes have shown such kind of sex starved females! Any way, Mudit compromises on this one lacking quality of Sugandha – but the rest were perfectly fine – sober, simple, non-flirtatious, virgin female, unattractive (so that other males don't view her lustily) – a good wife material.

Women have the same desires or needs as men.
6 September 2017
Basically what the film showed was that humans will remain unhappy till the time they look for others to define happiness for them! We all form an opinion about life based on whatever inputs we pick up from the environment. There are many cheap perverts out there in this world who have the money to spread the filth of their minds worldwide…initially it was difficult because it costed a lot of money to get a book published but with the arrival of internet, millions of people can write anything they want and become famous overnight!

Anyways, in this film, a 55 years old widow is heavily into reading soft porn and as we all know, what you mind, matters – so she tries to get close to a boy younger to her by 35 years or so! She hides her identity and engages in sex-chatting with the boy who was more of her son's age! When the boy comes to know, he comes to her locality and insults her in front of everyone….though it did not make much of a difference to her…..just like some sex-starved man who goes to the brothel and hires sex-worker of the age group of probably his grand-daughter! So since females follow the males blindly, this film showed exactly how women change their ways of life by comparing it with males! So when males are allowed to hire young sex-workers why can't aged females hire young males to fornicate with them!? This is the logic basically. So in the absence of proper red light areas for females to visit, they rope in locality or neighborhood males to quench their sexual desires.

Part 2:

Now Shireen was a housewife whose husband only had one relation with her – Sex. She had an overdose of sex in her life- that she did not like! She already had 3 kids and often visited the clinic for abortion since her husband did not like to use condoms…so Usha had dearth of sex and Shireen had overdose of sex – both disliked their existence.

Leela was in love with a local photographer and wanted to become a business woman- and be very rich. Her mother was a nude model for artists who wanted her daughter to marry some well settled man. But Leela was least bothered about her mom's ambitions – she used to dive on the hay for a quickie anytime, every time – though not with just anyone but only with her lover. When her lover turns her down, she tries to 'eff' her fiancé – who said he would only like to have sex on the 1st night of their wedding!

Rehana was a teenager and her parents, although poor, educated her in English medium school. They thought that their daughter will grow up to be a confident English speaking citizen but on the contrary, she became a shoplifter and liked to dress up like some western hooligan….with torn acid washed jeans etc. She joins college and befriends a wrong kinda company who believed in late night parties, drugs, alcohol land sleeping around with anyone who catches your fancy! She is arrested by the cops at the end…..and the guy she was going around with had recently impregnated another college girl! wow!

Half Girlfriend turned full like in a fairy tale!
29 June 2017
Half Girlfriend – Film Review A boy – Madhav - gets his entry in a famous Delhi college due to Sports quota. He is from a small district of Bihar and is the Prince of the District. He was from a Hindi medium school. During his interview he was told that the classes will be held in English and he will really have to improvise on his English. He nods but speaks in Hindi during the interview. Next, he was to give his sports examination – prove how good was he in basket ball. While he waited to the team to finish their game, he saw a girl...as sweet as can be – well according to him! She was very fair and had sportswear on – which amply showed her fair and waxed sexy legs – she was half-clad...no 1/4th clad actually (see image below)...so the name could also have been quarter girlfriend! Well not his fault actually, he was from a rural area where girls were not even educated ( The girls were not allowed in school in his village because of poor toilet facilities for girls...although they probably went to the fields early in the morning to answer nature's call...but midday school time...where will they run to if they wanted to pee? – so? NO education for girls!). They probably all wore salwar kameez and sarees ...so he had never seen such a semi- nude bombshell in his entire life! He was also shown as a shy character (will tell you later why or how). While standing as a spectator he gives her some hints on the moves she should make to win a goal. The girl – Riya – follows them and manages to win a goal. They become friends. Madhav was totally enamoured by her – her looks, skin, English speaking skills...but Riya was just okay with a guy who was good at basketball and she wanted to learn some moves from him. Riya was very rich and already had an equally rich boyfriend. Riya's parents were not very happy couple and often fought – screamed and shouted at each other that left Riya sad and lonesome. She took out her depression by playing the guitar and singing alone. Madhav and Riya begin to spend more time with each other. She invites him to her house at about midnight and sneaks outta her house for a long bike ride...wow! such a cute and innocent girl! Wow! Sneaking out of the house with a boy at midnight is such a sweet and innocent thing to do! When he drops her back – she kisses him on his mouth! Well – she had a steady boyfriend – may have kissed, smooched and even slept with him...so kissing a random friend did not matter to her much! But for Madhav it was a very big deal – he had never kissed before in his life (remember he lived in a rural area where girls might not have been educated but they must have had the modesty to keep to themselves - maryadas....which Riya lacked – broken family kids na – they can get away with anything – they can take to drugs, sleep around, party till 4am – everything! Children nowadays pray to God for a broken family so that they can indulge in all sorts of lifestyles that films show I guess! Madhav thinks that he is in love and so is she in love with him! A village simpleton could not imagine that females in cities kiss around and do much more with many guys...but his friend from the same village - Shailesh – was more worldly wise – he knew that Riya was just using Madhav for learning basketball and go around with for long bike rides...and entertain her basically. Shailesh warns Madhav that she was just using him and not at all in love with him. When Madhav does not agree, then Shailesh asks him to test her. How? Ask her to come to your room...he suggests. And? And get into a physical relationship with her..if she agrees that means maybe she does love you!....poor males – they are so innocent! After all even Sahilesh was from a rural Indian village – he actually thought that females still think that virginity is a big deal – to be kept only for husband! Little did they realize that Riya could actually have had a physical relationship with Madhav and yet not make him her steady boyfriend – or marry him! There are many kinds of girls in this world you see – Riya could have just used his macho-ness and had fun with him....just like males have fun with random girls without any intention to marry them at all! We all know how some dumb females follow dull and loser males blindly...so even they sleep around with whoever catches their fancy! Anyway, Madhav manages to get Riya in his room...but before he could do anything, Riya goes out of the room...but all the boys outside the room start catcalling and whistling at Riya.....yuk! what a humiliation..esp. when you haven't even done anything! Amazing that girls are allowed in boys hostel!! What kinda education Institution is that!? Of course you cannot stop consenting adults to copulate with anyone they want ... but definitely not in school or college premises! If you are so sex-starved & desperate, then you may hire a sleazy 1 star hotel room for the needful...but not malign a place where people go for knowledge. This way other studious students get derailed from the right track! Riya breaks off with Madhav ......and later invites him for her marriage. She shifts to London with her husband. Madhav could not get over sexy Riya....he goes back to his rural village but sulked all day long. dislike for Riya --read the rest in kalyugbriefs.com

Sensitivity cannot thrive among insensitive monsters
29 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Story of sensitive Shutu.

Shutu is a boy who lost his father when he was barely 7 or 8 years old. He lived with his mother in a small town in West Bengal - Bardaman and was academically very good. Topper kind of student. But his fate took him to a bigger city – Kolkata where he stared to live with his cousin brother and his wife. HE was very close to his 6 years old niece and took good care of her also.

But as he shifted to the big city, he saw a very different life – brother and sis-in-law smoking and partying, boozing etc. He had grown up in a small town and was leading a simple life – but exposure to city life confused him a lot. To top the confusion, in comes a flirtatious foreigner (played by Kalki) and they all decide to visit their parents in a McCluskieganj.

His cousin brother had friends in McCluskieganj who joined them to party etc. One of his cousin's friends – played by Ranvir was a very loud and flirtatious kind of a man. He had recently got married to a simple small town woman...but that didn't mean that he would stop all his flirtatious activities. It is shown in the film that Kalki and he had physical relationship (that continued after marriage)...but he married a simple woman because she was rich and father-in-law had gifted him a car also.

Anyways, they were spending their days in the peaceful Ganj (short form of McCluskieganj ) – Ranvir often used to tease and rag sensitive Shutu and the rest of them had fun at his expense. His sis-in-law basically made use of Shutu to babysit her daughter. One evening, Ranvir comes with his wife and Kalki tries her best to seduce him in front of his wife to make his wife jealous – but clever Ranvir kept a safe distance from her disappointing Kalkli a lot. That night she seduced young Shutu and initiated him in the world of sex. Next day, Shutu left his niece and took Kalki for a ride and again engaged in sex. In the meanwhile his niece got lost and there was complete pandemonium at home. Everyone went out hunting for the little girl and sis-in-law blames Shutu. Later SHutu, while trying to find his niece, falls in a wolf trap...and somehow manages to get out safely from there. When he returns home he sees that no one missed him and everyone had already started having dinner!

In a scene, it is also shown that Shutu had issues with his mother too. He called her up – being requested by his aunt – Tanuja – but as the phone got connected, he disconnected. Probably he blamed his mother to make him weak and meek – unable to face the city life! Plus he had failed in the exam which would be a shocking news to all..and his mother knew all about it. Later Shutu comes to know that the fact that he had failed in his exams had already leaked in the family...and he felt insulted.

He approaches Kalki – his eyes beaming with excitement ... sexcitement but she just turns him down saying that he better focus on his studies!

He goes to apologise from his niece- for leaving her alone - but she turns her back on him and didn't want to play with him anymore!....he thus lost touch with innocence – that kept him engaged and also made him feel comfortable!

So at the end what was Shutu left with? – He failed in exam, he didn't like his mother, his niece didn't want his company anymore, Kalki had just used him for sex, he was unconfident and uncomfortable to mix with loud flamboyant people....so he takes a drastic step! He ends his physical life...but his spirit or ghost continued to live....witnessing the dumb drama of the worldly people!

Only good looks matter...a heart full of love can go to hell!
25 April 2017
This is a story that reveals the human mind – rather a woman's mind – no a human mind actually.

Joya is a widow who lost her husband because he was a chain smoker and a drunkard. Instead of going back to her parents, she decided to stay back serving her aged father-in-law. As it happens with most young and beautiful widows, males of the locality try to take a chance by approaching them. But because the rich and influential man of the village – played by Kaushik – also had a major weakness for her, so no one else dared to approach her with dirty intentions. Kaushik was so much smitten by her beauty and simplicity that he took utmost care of her needs and requirements! He had a helper who kept a 24/7 watch on her whereabouts and reported to Kaushik! Because she wore white sarees, he had kept away his colourful shirts and wore white all the time!! He was himself a bachelor and intended to marry Joya someday.

In comes a stranger in her life – Abir – who was a petty thief from India. He was young and good looking and his presence start to make Joya miss her husband! Although she tries to help him contact his relatives back in India – but deep within she wished he stayed with her! Abir could not move much as he had hurt his feet – but the fact that a man was staying with Joya would be scandalous. So she makes up a story that Abir was her distant brother who was a businessman in India.

Kaushik smells something fishy and even hints Joya that he knows that she is hiding facts. When Abir is somewhat healed, he asks for her help to make him escape and save him from the prying eyes of the border security force. Joya then approaches Kaushik and seeks his help and promises him that if he successfully helps Abir out of the border, she will marry him!

On the last night of their togetherness, Joya seduces Abir to have a physical relationship with her...as the very next day she was about to sacrifice her life and marry the aged and not-so-attractive-at- all – Kaushik!ABir is helpless and out of pity, he makes love to her. She asks him not turn around and look at her sacrificed self (after Bisorjon, the idol looks dilapidated and broken – and she had sacrificed her life just to save Abir).

So what does the story indicate?

About Kaushik :

He is rich & powerful. He loves the lady madly. He goes out of his way to help her always. He wants to marry her. A permanent resident

About Abir: He is a petty thief. He is already engaged to someone. He pities her state (her widowhood and loneliness) He is a temporary visitor. He does not love her.

This lady opts for the petty foreigner thief and loathes the sight of the powerful rich man! Is it not a myth then...that women only go for riches? Or is it that 'only looks matter'....a heart of gold – full of love – can go to hell!?

Later it is indicated that Joya gives birth to a baby boy who is actually Abir's.......confirmed by a birth mark.

Basically what Karan Johar says blatantly in his film – 'Only looks, looks, looks matter' - Kaushik Ganguly said it subtly!

May I come in Madam? - Please ask this question from a woman b4 you ...

Warning: Spoilers
Anarkali of Aarah

Anarkali is a local dancer – she performs dance on cheap Bollywood item songs for the local drunkards and loser males of the locality. They don't just depend on Bollywwod item numbers but make their own songs impregnated with double meanings and sexual innuendos! The owner or Vice Chancellor of the University is very fond of Anarkali and wants to keep her as his kept/ concubine. But because he is a powerful political fellow in the same locality, so he cannot force his ways with her....it mars the reputation you see!

Anarkali's childhood has also been shown a bit – her mother was also a dancer with the local troupe but had encouraged her daughter to study in school and gain knowledge....but because she dies accidentally so Anarkali is left with no other option but to become a lewd dancer for the equally lewd and crass viewers! Anarkali is shown having an affair with the manager of the troupe – who is a married man.....but because he has her consent to sleep or have sex with her – so it is absolutely okay – two consenting adults can have sex and nobody should dare to interfere in their sex life. The fact that the manager is betraying his wife should be none of anybody's business. Anarkali found him young and attractive and liked to have sex with him. Period.

Things turn sour when the powerful political man – who was old and married and also a father of a grown up daughter, manhandles Anarkali in front of the crowd and she slaps him tightly! Because he was totally drunk, he did not realize what he had done. Later he invites her over to his secret apartment and proposes that she should belong to him as his 'kept'! She refuses him and insults him again! Because she had done so to such an influential person, she had t flee from the locality overnight! She reaches a big city and becomes a singer there. Soon the political goons find her and she returns to Arrah....but with the motive to take revenge!

Now this scene is unbelievable! – In the annual function of the University, Anarkali's dance item is also included!! And what is more shocking is that when she is dancing the students (males esp.) are also jumping with excitement to see her give those cheap matkas and jhatkas!! Gosh!! We used to sing a song in our school – in Kendriya Vidyalaya...that went like ' Takshila, Nalanda ka itihaas laut ke aayega, Bharat ka swarnim gaurav, Kendriya Vidyalaya layega' – all these big big Universities were in Bihar – Patna region...and this is the status of the University now!!?? Item girls performing in the annual function of the University!?

Although there was also another scene where couple of people were seen with placards and were asking to close down such cheap item dance events completely....and the dancers laughed and mocked at them!

Anyway, in the University function, she plays the tape that showed her slapping the political leader – right in front of his wife, daughter, students, ministers....everyone!

Message? – Don't force a woman to have a relationship without her consent...even if she appears to be available or is actually even available to other men (she slept with her married manager – remember?) – but with her consent! So take proper permission from a woman before diving on bed with her! It's like ' May I come in Madam?'.

Maatr - A mother's revenge!
25 April 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Let me start the story with a 13 years old girl from a broken family – Meenal. Meenal is a school going girl studying in class 8 or 9. She is from a broken family – in the sense that both parents are often fighting with each other – father is a frustrated drunkard and mother is dissatisfied with her husband. She quietly sits locked in her room when her parents scream and shout at each other! In comes a young boy – in his early 20's and sees the state of the broken family. He realizes that the man of the house is an incorrigible drunkard and the wife is frustrated. So in order to have free sex with the frustrated- but experienced in s*x- wife, he gets a bottle of alcohol for the husband and himself enjoys sex with the wife – i.e. Meenal's mother.

One day he sees a young Meenal at home and shows interest in having her as the sex mate instead – but obvious folks – daughter is barely 13 or 14 – young and taut skinned – much more alluring for a man in his 20's. But since he is having free sex with the mother at home so he forces her to meet him at the hotel or else he will destroy the house....blah blah - basically Meenal succumbed to his advances out of fear and started going to his hotel – dressed like an 'escort girl'!!

Now Meenal has a friend called Tia in school. Tia's mother is a teacher in the same school. At the annual function of the school, Tia's team (that included Meenal) win a prize for best presentation – they presented the Ramayana btw. The Chief Minister had come as the chief guest and his son – a wasteful drug addict son - along with is friends (that included the boy who used Meenal) had come to watch the annual function. The boy – who used Meenal for sexual services – points out to his friends that he was having a good time with Meenal. They ask him to invite her over to their farm house that night. Meenal refuses and says – lies - that she is going home with her teacher and friend Tia in their car.

The boys followed the car and by chance the car meets with a small accident – as they were trying to take a short cut – Oh! Don't trust the GPS in India...not as yet folks! Since the place was isolated, the boys – around 7 of them carry the mother and daughter to their farm house – rape them both and then decide to even kill them! Tia dies but her mother survives! Vidya – Tia's mother – remembers all the guys who raped her daughter – she reports to the police but because the CM's son was involved, so the case was dismissed! Vidya herself kills the guys – one after the other!

Certain scenes are pretty disturbing!

CM's son does not care to talk to the cops politely! He treats them like muck and the police officers were also shown as helpless porcupines!

A school going girl goes to the hotel in the evening dressed as a pick-up girl! Broken family girls usually take up such odd jobs! Shows the importance of well knit families and strong moral values – or else the children of the family have to face the brunt of it! Basically it was because of Meenal that Tia had to lose her life! Poor Tia was an ordinary girl of a school teacher....though even her parents were not compatible – they were just living together so that Tia does not have to face the trauma of being from a broken family! Alas – in spite of all the act put up by her parents – she dies a gory death!

The CM was a criminal as all his crimes were being enlisted as he was fighting for elections! Shows how dumb is the common Indian mass to elect a criminal as their leader! Such a criminal father will obviously have a criminal son who does not respect anyone or anything other than money, power and fame!

All the criminals die at the end. The mothers kill them all with her intelligence!

Praktan Review – The Former was a formaldehyde !
26 July 2016
Praktan Review – The Former was a formaldehyde ! Formaldehyde : a colorless pungent irritating gas CH2O used chiefly as a disinfectant .

The former wife disinfects the husband and makes a better person out of him – she makes him a romantic lovable husband for the 2nd wife. You see experience makes perfect – he goofed up his first marriage so the next time he made it sure to not repeat the same mistakes again…..and go for a divorce yet again! About Former: Sudipa – A girl born and brought up in Mumbai – likes to wear sleeveless and / or revealing outfits that flaunts the assets of a female body. She likes to smoke as well. She is an architect. She meets Ujaan when she came visiting Kolkata and thought of him as her ideal man. Why? Well he was smart, good looking and they shared a similar taste of keeping information of historic buildings.

About Ujaan (the man who later becomes a hubby) Has the office in his own house, middle class family people. Ladies in the family believe in being docile, decent, silent lambs who are at the beck and call of the males of the family. Understand that Ujaan has grown up watching such women who compromise a lot without feeling of having compromised at all! They are home makers and lived as queens at their homes – cooking and looking after children. Never ask the husband about his whereabouts because they understand that the world outside is wicked and he really has to work hard to get food on the table. Thus whenever the husband came home after work, the wife pampers him with warm tea and good food so that he feels that his daily toil is worth all the trouble after all! About Latter Molly or Malini. Educated girl. Worked as Accountant in a small office. Gives up job with arrival of baby. Does not complain and nag about husband not giving time. Understands that he is trying to establish his business so shows patience and stands by him. Simple middle class family girl who fits well in their family. Has no desire to flaunt private parts of the body in public …nor does she like to smoke or drink! praktan-review-aumaparna Conclusion: A girl must always meet the family and especially the mother to see what kind of woman has the boy grown up watching.

A man usually forms a picture of an ideal woman based on the qualities of his mother. The first encounter of a boy with a feminine aspect is his mother and then his sister. Usually they understand that women will be more or less like them and forms a picture of his ideal would-be wife based on the information available to him.

Of course in the course of time he gets to meet other kinds of girls as well and many different aspects of womanhood gets revealed to him as he grows but still the ideal picture is mostly based on women in his household.

So folks, it is rather simple now to understand a man (esp. when you are going to tie the nuptial knot) – meet the women of his famil and see what he expects or will eventually expect of you.

Ujaan was enamoured with Sudipa – her smartness and dress sense – whatever – but eventually he could not tolerate the fact that that she came home late and spent time with her boss. He could not even accept the fact that the boss signs off as 'Love'…though no Boss usually signs as 'Love' – he will give instructions and when the job is done, he appreciates. ….and definitely not send messages to his lady subordinate and sign off as 'love'..unless of course either he lacks etiquettes or is actually trying to become intimate with the female associate.

So girls, meet the mother and the sister (if any) ..this is one of the sure shot ways of knowing what kind of a man your would-be is. Homely mother – strong positive personality…will expect his daughter-in-law to be homely, chaste and loyal….desperate housewife or weak personality mother will allow her daughter in law to have fun..wear sleeveless, smoke, drink, party and even have sex outside wedlock…since probably she herself is like that.

Psycho Raman (2016)

Job of 'Escort girls' is mighty risky...and much more!
29 June 2016
It is the story of the 'making of maniacs' who, when left to themselves, can turn into brazen & gory murderers or serial killers...without a shred of guilt! Story Of Raman Born in the slums. Existed in dire poverty. Lived hand to mouth. Jobless. Not keen on taking any job. Wants easy money. Heartless and brutal.

In the beginning of the film, he reaches the police station and confesses that he is a serial killer and has killed 9 people already. The cops think of him as some mad cap who wants to get arrested for regular food given in the jail...since outside he has to work for a living.

So they take him to a dilapidated building and beat him up mercilessly! He is seen complaining to God.....sitting in front of pictures of Gods, he was crying and complaining that he was beaten for telling the truth and he was hungry for 3 days! Couple of young boys open him up (not knowing that he was closed by the cops). He escapes. He goes to his sister's house. She was very reluctant to let him in but eventually agrees as he said that he was hungry. She knew of his criminal tendencies so was avoiding him totally. Her husband comes and he gets talking to Raman.

Raman sees the family pictures of her husband's side – all framed and decorated on the walls. His brother-in-law (BIL) mentions that one picture of his is lying in some drawer. Raman looks disturbed by this revelation – muttering under his breath that his picture was not exposed to family members because he was thought of as some good-for-nothing person! He asks his young nephew – about 11 years of age – whether he knew that he had a maternal uncle.....the child was of course clueless! Suddenly his BIL mentioned that his wife (Raman's sister) often talked about him to which he reacts violently. He hits his BIL with an iron rod and asks what exactly she told about him. BIL just mentions that she told him that he used to hit / beat her a lot.

Raman then starts revealing dirty truths of his and his sister's upbringing. Being born in the slums, they do not have any sense of purity in relationships – like brother, sister, father or mother! They somehow live in dirty, unkempt hut in some slum area and get up in the morning to start begging for food and clothes. How can such people be bothered about anything else also?! And who will teach them about boundaries?..and even if someone tries to teach – why will they learn? You see – Knowledge/ education/ wisdom is not for the empty stomach. Those who are hungry, they only understand 'FOOD' and ways to beg for it! So Raman basically tells BIL that he should thank his lucky stars that he (Raman) did not impregnate his sister and left her for him to impregnate. He even says to the extent that he has taught his sister the art of 'fu**ing'!! Later he asks his sister whether she had come in his BIL's life while his first wife was alive or after she died...and whether she was involved in murdering her ! BIL was pretty aged for his sister so Raman was kind of playing a 'guessing game' – knowing his sister – who also had been brought up in dire poverty – such people can go to any lengths to get a decent life! It was quite possible therefore that his sister and BIL together had murdered the first wife and then tied the knot to live happily ever after! Anyways, Raman did not let them live happily ever after! In a fir of rage, he hits his sister hard on her head and she died almost instantly! He could not keep his BIL and nephew alive...after all they had seen him murdering....so he kills both of them too! After killing them, he eats the food that he was himself preparing and left the house.

Story Of Raghav

Raghav is a young police officer. He belongs to a well to do family – rather rich family – where the father is shown to be some influential personality with secretaries sitting at the reception etc. Father is shown to be very dominating and strict and rather uncouth too. When his son visits him, there were couple of people sitting in the living room – and in front of these people, he talks to him rudely and even check his nostrils to see whether he had consumed drugs! He feels insulted and goes out of the room. He was given drugs by his uncle and there is a scene where he even mentions that his uncle used to sodomize him when he was a child! Like first he was given drugs and when he was unable to pay, he had to get himself sodomised by his uncle! Yuk!! What a life!! Raghav meets a girl (a pick-up girl) from a night club and takes her home. The girls seemed from a decent background though – there was a scene when her mother calls up and she spoke like some totally concerned daughter asking for the health of her father and begging his father to not consume beer anymore! Anyways, doesn't matter whether she belonged to good family – she had taken up the job of a 'sex-worker' for quick money and that was her only identity!

Conclusion:

You cannot just blame your circumstances only to turn into a criminal..there are many more things that makes a person turn into a criminal.. many more things! Both Raman and Raghav were maniacs in their own way – although both had very different life, childhood and upbringing!...yet they were like long lost 'soul mates'!! I did not reveal the end. This is a recently released film..people need to go and watch it in movie halls....cheers!

Simplicity can singlehandedly destroy all complexities!
27 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Dhanak is a film that shows that if a person is simple hearted with sheer faith in goodness....then good is bound to happen to such people! All hardships are auto-removed from the path of such people. And yes, these are the people who believe in the miracles of God...and God too is only too ready to fulfil their little, simple desires through HIS various angels!

It is a story about a blind brother and his elder sister whose parents die in some mishap and they are taken care of by their uncle. Their aunt is not very kind to them and somehow feeds them reluctantly just so that they don't go hungry. It was because of her stingy behaviour towards the orphaned children that the boy lost his eyesight ... due to malnutrition. Their uncle loves them and is the only person who takes care of them.

Both brother and sister are movie buffs and while going to school they tell each other stories of films of their favourite actors! One day the sister stumbles across a poster where SRK is promising free eyesight operation for the under-privileged children. With an innocent heart, the sister writes a letter to SRK requesting him to fund her need to bring back her brother's lost eyesight! Circumstances are such that SRK was to visit a location in their state (Rajasthan) and she decides to take her brother to him and ask for help directly!

She escapes with her brother in the middle of the night and walks towards her destination! Fortunately they both get lifts from 'good' truck drivers and others who were going towards Jaisalmer! Yes, there were cheats and thugs who try to harm the children...to sell them and make money – but they were saved miraculously! In fact they don't even come to know of any impending danger – they just trot away with confidence in God ...and their luck...and of course their favourite actor!

In the end, their uncle finds them in Jaisalmer and the boys reaches the hospital and gets his eyesight back! It is shown that SRK had received the letter and he had taken care of the child's desire!

All's well that ends well!
