Gordon, Gino & Fred's Road Trip: La Vida Loca (2023) Season 4, Episode 1

Gordon thinks some things are funny but he is mistaken

This first episode consists mainly of Gordon bullying Gino and exhibiting driving skills which could one day result in serious injury to someone. He seems to think that almost setting fire to the mobile home then running out of the door leaving Gino to sort it out is funny also driving recklessly down a narrow gravel road where a burst tyre could result in the vehicle crashing is also funny. On top of this on a walkway and rope bridge, where Gino is obviously terrified, bouncing the bridge up and down to make it swing more is also funny. I think not it looks to me mainly bullying of Gino. I have not even mentioned the amount of time he spends with no hand on the steering wheel when driving and not looking where he is going either.

Comedy ?

I have just watched the first episode of season one, This episode consisted of about 20 minutes of people shouting at each other and their conversations were so fast and so load it was impossible to understand more than one word in ten. There was somewhere near the end a line which was slightly funny but it was so slight I can't remember it. There is no way this bears (excuse the pun) any resemblance to comedy/Drama .

I cannot understand how it received any nominations for anything and I for one will not be watching any more of the first series and certainly none of the second. I can't believe a second series was actually commissioned.

Skymed (2022– )

NOt a patch on R.F.D.S.from Australia

I hoped it was going to be similar to the Royal Flying Doctor Service series from Australia but if fails miserably in that respect. The cast just seem to be wanting to jump into bed with all and sundry at the drop of a hat. The basic errors in all the medical procedures are glaringly obvious and the acting is more like amature night. None of the writing creates any tension in the series and I think it would be a problem for the actors to create the tension with the poor scripts they have to work with. The aircraft craft crash in one of the early episodes was so poorly set up, I mean smoke coming from the aircraft spilt aviation fuel and several people just wandering around nearby.

Just about bearable if you have nothing better to do

Sophia Bush is totally mis-cast in the role of a doctor her voice carries no gravitas at all. She sounds like a little girl who is always looking for approval from anyone at all. It's no wonder that everyone runs rings around her. The storyline of a a family virtually running a hospital between themselves bears no resemblance to any possible situation. That might arise and the medical scenes are a laugh a minute as far as authenticity goes. Did they actually have any any medical personnel on set when making it to give them advice or help just to make it a trace realistic. Ignore my headline, you can find something better to do than watch this rubbish.

Harry Wild (2022– )

Jane Seymour wrong for the part

I have watched the first episode and am extremely disappointed. Jane Seymour was just not right for the part she does not have the presence to carry the role. The Idea of the show is quite good and being set in Ireland the irish humour would make a very enjoyable change to the huge amount of Police shows available on television which rely on violence and swearing to try and fail to entertain. I have read most of the reviews on here and am surprised about the high ratings it is receiving especially for Ms Seymour. I will give it one more episode but if there is no improvement then the rest of the series will be avoided. UPDATE I have now watched the second episode and both myself and my wife have decided it's not worth watching any more it's getting worse.

Secrets of the Zoo: The Wild Side (2019– )

Good but can't watch for more than 30 mins

I enjoy this programme but I find after about 30 mins I have to turn it off, because the screeching nasal voices of most of the female zoo attendants are just too much for me. I wear hearing aids and they tend to amplify the high pitched voices. I just wish they would tone down their screeching at every available oportunity. Even without my hearing aids in they are just too much for me. I am sure it is not necessary at all. If only they listened to themselves I am sure they would realise that they screech all the time and it would probably make them realise, how bad they sound to other people.

Trying (2020–2024)

A GENTLE COMEDY

I have just finished watching the 3rd seies and can't wait for the fourth to be released. It is well acted and the storyline flows, with these two excellent actors. The comedy is not in your face like some over the top comedy shows but each episode is filled with all the emotions you would want from a television show and keeps you wanting more. Each character has an important part to play in the story and the choice of actors is inspirational. It has a serious side to it but the comedy is just enough to make it very entertaining as well without hiding the emotional turmoil of a couple who are desperate for a family.

The Girl on the Mountain (2022)

very poor

HE was supposed to be in the wilderness but most of the paths he used were well used and lined with log. The four baddies were not very good actors or the director was happy with mediocre acting. The vehicle used by the Baddies must have the best battery in the world on a car, they went off into the forest leaving the headlights on but it started first time later. The death of the daughter was not very well thought out, a long straight road vehicle with headlights on and she walk 2/3 of the way across before being hit by the car.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries (2021– )

Not very good

Some very poor acting and rediculous storyline. Really struggles to have any impact at all. Is it a comedy or a drama? It fails on both accounts. It is certainly not a prime time tv show on a Saturday night.

I was looking forward the this series but have only watched the first episode and have given up on it. Some of he acting is amaturish and the storyline is poor.

CODA (2021)

Great film but Problems

I enjoyed the film but I feel the continuity of the story was lost because of the sign language parts. Don't get me wrong it was very well acted but to improve the storyline I feel it would have been better if Ruby spoke what she was signing in those sequences where she was having a conversation with her family.
