Plane (2023)
Total nonsense produced in a pretty crappy way
As someone who watched all seasons of Air Crash Investigation, i can say that the flight/plane scenes are mainly unrealistic and just laughable. Come on, didnt you have any specialists onboard to show you how to produce some exciting plane emergency scenes? You should really have hired me, a regular guy. I would have prepared a hell of a script for you.
Secondly, as someone who was in Philippines for long time, even very close to the Marawi war epicentre, i can tell that the terrorists in this movie, which should probably represent Abu Sayyaf terrorists, definitely would have the high ground and area knowledge over the main Jolo island. No usa special forces could do what they did in this movie, even more a flight captain lol. Total brainless production.
Other aspects in this movie like acting, dialogues or suspense are barely on an A-movie level, rather B-movie like.
Overall: Throwaway-production right to the trash basket during which you have a constant feeling of Fremdshaming.
Spy Wars (2019)
great series, hopefully a second season!
Very interesting real cases, and Damian is doing a very nice job as moderator. Its not focusing on one timeframe like the Cold War, but enters different espionage cases. Thats actually some recipe to attract many viewers and its so deserved. Give it a try, its more than worth it.
Banshee Chapter (2013)
very low budget c-movie
Honestly i expected much more. This is a b- or even c-movie. Production looks very cheap, like if i would record some amateur movie with my actioncam. Camera, sound, locations, story, dialogues... everything is very weak. There are some scares but overall i nearly fell asleep, had only one eye barely left watching this. This movie is absolutely not recommended.
PS: those 8- or even 9-star reviews cant be serious. Dont get fooled by it. Remember i warned you.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
One of the worst movies produced in modern day history
I cannot believe that professionals are able to produce a movie like this. How is that even possible? Everything you can imagine what could go wrong, it went wrong. Story, actor choice, acting, camera, music, dialogues, non-existence of originality. Missing dramaturgy, missing suspense, missing twists. It's devastating to watch Matrix Resurrections, even without the name Matrix it would be a direct-to-DVD C-movie. Actually it's called Resurrections but this movie achieved exactly the opposite: it brought Matrix movies to the grave.
6 Underground (2019)
a movie horribly gone wrong
Usa childlish propaganda, zero suspense or story, manilupative and IQ-low dialogues, terrible humour, hyper-ADHD scene cuts, uninteresting characters.
Gunhamdo (2017)
A NEARLY PERFECT MEGA BLOCKBUSTER
I'm speechless. This bombast of film lets the viewer in complete awe and I don't know what to write at first. One of the best films I've ever seen. What an effort, what an almost perfect creation. Anyone who cannot empathize here should seriously go to the doctor. The unbelievable but fact-based story, the extraordinary acting performances above all the little girl who probably delivers the best acting performance of a child in this century, the never-ending and mostly well-done effects and the immense sound, the intensive and damn well-thought-out social study that runs through the entire film. In this film there comes one masterly crafted scene after the other, despite the long running time of 151 minutes in the directors cut. I could go on praising the film, but that would go beyond the limit here.
We'll wait a long time for such an incredible film experience, I'm almost certain of that.
Grave (2016)
French movies are what Hollywood is not. Brave.
No doubt, Raw is a good movie. Showing something new, not provoking, not political, not offending any group. But shocking and brave. Bravo France.
Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)
TOP CLASS HISTORICAL FILM
What Ridley Scott has delivered here is just great. Emotionally upsetting, with epic scenes and a damn good soundtrack. And yes, I see the length of 150 minutes as the only real point of criticism. Because hardly any other biography like that of Moses is so epic that a Hollywood blockbuster is the only right one. But here a length of over 3 hours would have been more appropriate to deepen the individual characters, of which there are quite a lot, which unfortunately was only mediocre. Otherwise, one can easily feverish the story, although one knows it and although the first half of the film is only "good" from a dramatic point of view, which is above all because the sufferings of the Hebrews are not shown intensely enough. Some people criticize Ridley Scott for not exactly sticking to the biblical facts here. I think he's doing it just right. Just as he showed new approaches with Alien, which were not particularly well received, he is going the same way here. This gives a film whose story is generally known a certain unpredictability and freshness.
Thank you Ridley for this movie experience.
Escape Room (2019)
the worst productions come from usa
This movie is an insult to the human intelligence. whoever rates this movie positively must posses a manipulated mind. wow, its really a marvel how hollywood movies get worse and worse every year.
The Mummy (2017)
usa propaganda
Nothing less than a usa propaganda as you can see it in many other movies and series emerging from the us. this movie is recommended only for those shallow thiking beings with a manipulatice character. for those who value medial independence, this movie is not worth watching.
Midsommar (2019)
cowardish filmmaking
Soemone who aims to critisize catholicism but doesnt have balls to make a movie including most of the religions, especially the agressive ones, is not a filmmaker, but a being trying to influence the audiences. Not with me.
El hoyo (2019)
So much better than hollywood
Another good example why usa productions cannot reach up to european quality.
It Follows (2014)
a highly thrilling experience
This movie makes many things right. First of all it must be said that the main idea of the movie is nicely chosen. Yes, there are some movies which have a similar idea. But "It follows" mixes those ideas up and combines them to a new entertaining style of horror. So actually the movie isn't really that innovative, like many people pretend. It is rather how the movie is made, it's about the entertainment. Scary music, combined with a very well proportioned amount of jump-scares and visual-scares. Between those scares the movie doesn't get boring, because the director manages that the viewers are afraid nearly in the same level like the protagonists. Why that? It's because of those scares which are really intensively done. The viewer is just afraid of the next scare, because the viewer knows that it will come for sure, and is waiting it to happen. It could happen in any moment and in every place. So it must be said that the thrill goes non-stop throughout the whole movie. The main aspect which must be criticized is that the protagonists behave really stupid. As a viewer you ask yourself: wait, why doesn't she do this or that? But if you search an entertaining and highly thrilling movie (it's less a horror, i would rather call it a thriller with some horror-like moments), then this is the one you need to watch.
Hitman: Agent 47 (2015)
not even average
First of all: the movie has very very little in common with the game. Above all: where are the scenes which contain the MAIN idea of the game: dress up as another person and walk through security areas being unrecognized? There is one scene which is about 10 seconds long, that's all. If you played Hit-man: Codename 47 then you have a completely different atmosphere in the game than in this movie.I played all Hit-man games and would really wish that some director would make a Hit-man movie worth this legendary game-series. Nothing about this movie is even average. I am honestly speechless... maybe after some beer this movie might be watchable as a standalone trash-movie, thats all.
Well, i think it's time to listen now to the real Hitman:Codename47 soundtrack in order to shake away all this 96-min.-disappointment
