The Crown: Queen Victoria Syndrome (2022)
Poor choice of Diana
New Diana is too tall, too thin and looking under her eyes way too much all of which portraits Diana as some sickly odd charicature. Diana was not pathetic she was fragile but strong at the same time. When actors portray an existing or historical person it needs to come off more naturally than what we're seeing, it is really difficult to watch, overdone and wrong. Ana De Armas had the same issue portraing Marilyn and it just makes bad acting. The real person may have had certain behavioral quirks and manners but it is not all they ever were. You need to breath life to them not just mimic. In most recent portraials of actual people, Colin Firth did it best I've ever seen as Michael Peterson from HBOs The Staircase series. The voice and the manners were brilliantly similar and came off naturally eventhough he was performing a much less known character to begin with.

Croatian style 'Love Actually'
I was positively surprised. Love how everything connected and the random back scenes - great touch! Funny to learn Ozren Grabaric, playing the likeable Martin, actually lived in Barcelona but his crospanish & english still bothered me a little. Evenstill, top cast!
Mrkomir Prvi (2020)
Has potential
Have we finally learned to laugh on our own expense and take lessons from history? The pilot had a few good plot twists and fun characters - cynics, doofuses, leeches & snakes - not too far from reality. Is there a righteous hero to lead us to prosperity? For the sake of the Croat, truly hope so!
Great intro! When's the rest?
Emily in Paris (2020)
Audrey Hepburn Wannabe
It is unbearably see-through how Lily is trying to be a ditsy copy of Audrey Hepburn and riding on their similarity in looks in the caracterization of Emily but the performance is quite sad to watch. I also see too much influence of Ally McBeal, Gossip Girl, Ugly Betty and Devil Wears Prada but the execution of it for some reason ends up feeling just. so. empty. The 'vibe' of the show is waaay too forced with a god awful and stereotypical representation of the French through the eyes of a privliged white girl, quote 'I didnt get on a plane until I was 12', who on Earth scripted this ?? xD As if it's so relatable. And please, leave a crease in the outfit or a piece of actors hair to fly out a little for god's sake, they all look like dolls. I believe viewers would prefer a piece of reality in this predictable fairytale. I'd say more but it's really not worth more typing, just watch Sex Education or Derry Girls on Netflix instead, they're way more colorful, exciting and edgier than this ringarde.
Westworld (2016)
Why is everyone whispering?
ATTN!-NO SPOILERS BC NOTHING MUCH HAPPENS ANYWAY
10 stars for Season 1.
3 stars for Season 2.
Average of 6.5 total from me.
So.much.whispering. And for no reason at all! What started as one of truly amazing jaw dropping new shows on TV nowdays among Black Mirror and GOT which can still keep the viewer interested, disolved into a sensless AI tragedy with slow acting and constant melodramatic background music.
I had huge expectations from this show, however the WOW factor from S1 was very hard to find in S2. Shame though, as the show has some real quality filmmaking and the topic of conscious AIs (usually portrated only as cold blooded killing machines) as possibly better beings than humans seemed to be a scary, therefore, a briliant idea for all viewers and not just action junkies or tech geeks. Very sad about how it turned out bc it could have been a great show, or they could have just stopped after S1.
If it does return for S3 I hope they make the story telling somewhat simpler than in S2 as the show makes you think well enough even without this sort of 'Twin Peaks/Legion' type of what-is-real/where-are-we-now kind of thing which is popular nowdays, as it might lose some part of the audience.
