Mahalleden Arkadaslar (2022)
very good adaptation
If you have read the book of the same name, you will see that this movie is a very good adaptation. Considering that there is a lot of swearing in the comedy films of the last period in Turkish Cinema, we have seen that a film can be made that tells its troubles in a decent way.
After all, we are watching a movie about the friendship of 9-year-old children in the neighborhood. This is a childish gang movie, but an innocent gang like we saw in 80's Turkey. If you are an individual who lived his childhood in the 80s, you will enjoy this movie and find something of yourself. The most basic criticism I can make about the movie is that I think some of the actors were wrong.
Modern Times (1936)
It's Very Important for Communication Studies
The film follows Chaplin's iconic character, the Tramp, as he struggles to survive in the harsh and rapidly changing world of modern industry. From his work in a factory to his stint as a night watchman, the Tramp is constantly faced with new challenges and obstacles that threaten to break his spirit.
Throughout the film, Chaplin expertly blends physical comedy with poignant social commentary, highlighting the absurdities of modern society while also drawing attention to its injustices. The famous scene in which the Tramp is fed through a machine, for example, is both hilarious and deeply unsettling, perfectly capturing the film's themes of dehumanization and mechanization.
