Subramanyam for Sale (2015)
Mega Remix
The story starts off in Kurnool where Sita (Regina Cassandra) runs away from a marriage that she does not want. And off she goes to the US to marry her Facebook boyfriend. Like in all films, the FB boyfriend turns out to be a fraud and she ends up acting as the wife of Subramanyam (Sai Dharam Teja), thanks to a 'Best Couple' competition held by NRI Rajasekhar (Naga Babu). Brahmanandam gets to play Chintakay and the comedy king is as best as ever, though director Harish Shankar hasn't given him a big role. Highlights: Sai Dharam Teja's dances Drawbacks: Routine story Lack of novelty Excess length Mix of many movies. Right from the beginning, Sai Dharam Teja has mimicked either Chiranjeevi or Pawan Kalyan throughout the movie in an obvious attempt to satisfy the mega fans. So there is less creativity, more mass elements.
Bhale Bhale Magadivoy (2015)
Nani's Show
Lucky (Nani) is a scientist who suffers from a rare condition. He forgets things as soon as his mind gets diverted at the snap of fingers. One such forgetful moment brings Nandana (Lavanya Tripathi) into his life. Nandana mistakes him for a do-gooder and from then on their love story begins. Even as Nani tries to hide his forgetfulness, he realizes that Nandana is the daughter of Pandu Ranga Rao (Murali Sharma) who dislikes him for being irresponsible. Lavanya Tripathi plays the quintessential heroine and thankfully she does not have any melodramatic scenes. Most of the times, she manages with her heavily dimpled smile and has a good screen presence. Not much of a character as Nani gets the major chunk, but she does manage to keep it simple and straight. The surprise package of the film is Murali Sharma who gets the writer- backed role and he plays dad to the heroine. Breaking away from the norm of playing baddie, he plays the father and he too puts in a convincing performance. Naresh and Sitara play parents to Lucky and they fit their roles perfectly. Then there is Praveen and Vennela Kishore, both of whom get to play friends of Lucky. Highlights: Nani Music Breezy First Half Drawbacks: A couple of scenes plugged in here and there The story is kept simple by Maruthi which works for the film and makes it a decent time-pass watch with a good number of fun moments sprinkled through out.
Bruce Lee: The Fighter (2015)
not at all up to expectations.......
There is no much need of watching this movie moreover it sounds as baadshah-2,dookudu-3.lack of entertainment has been the worst aspect. even though ramcharan's action and dance has been good it is a routine story and i can even tell is as a waste of time.this can be exactly said as 'NO MATTER IN MEGA METER'. Rakul shares a superb chemistry with Ram Charan though she doesn't have much of a role in the movie. Kriti as sister has done adequate job. Thaman's songs have become popular even before the release and couple of them are even better on the screen. Drawbacks: Lack of entertainment Hurried second half Predictable story Narration lacks fizz Total failure of Brahmi and comedy gang.
Kick 2 (2015)
Only discomfort
n the first part of Kick, Ravi Teja was portrayed as a sort of Robin Hood who steals money for a right purpose and does everything in life for the sake of some 'kick'. The sequel focuses on his son who is named after Robin Hood. Ravi Teja looks lean to put it in short. Given that his new look is still debatable, let's skip that for another day. As for his performance, he is his usual energetic self and like the first part, he carries the entire film on his shoulders. Of course, there are hordes of character artistes and villains which has become a norm these days, but Ravi Teja pulls off the film with his charisma. Rakul Preet Singh is a good choice for Chaitra. She looks good dancing around in Europe and is equally at ease being a village belle in Vilaspur. Of course, she also adds the much-needed glamour to an otherwise drab second half. Highlights: Cinematography Thaman's songs Some hilarious scenes in the first half Drawbacks: Outdated story Lethargic screenplay Lack of entertainment post interval Lacking novelty factor in each aspect of the movie Lengthy runtime Bad climax
Bãhubali: The Beginning (2015)
Visual Spectacle With Weak Climax
The film narrates a fictional historical story set in the fictional provincial kingdom of Mahismati. We can clearly see Prabhas has put in his heart and blood into the movie and the two characters that he has portrayed. He has worked hard for the movie for three years and has transformed his body to be the fiery royal king Baahubali and the burning Sivudu. It is a scene to be beheld when he lifts huge Sivalingam on his broad shoulders. In the battle sequences too, he is pitch perfect. Although there is consistency in his performances, the beauty lies in his towering screen presence. Surprisingly, Rana as Bhallaladev, the antagonist is also perfect and gets equal prominence to Prabhas. Rana is seen in single role but with two shades. Tamannah as Avanthika is drop dead gorgeous in songs but pale in delivering performance as the warrior princess. Technical Excellence: Major strength and highlight of the movie is high technical values. Rajamouli's movies have always been visually rich and technically sound with glitzy visual effects. No one can find a blemish in these departments with all technical crew working in unison to give the best output for this movie. Highlights:
Spectacular visuals with high end graphics Gigantic sets and grand production design Prabhas and Ramya Krishna's stellar performances Outstanding camera work Picturization of Deewara and Paccha Bottu songs. Drawbacks:
No emotional grip Uneven pace Dull moments in the midway Abrupt ending.
