Alphaville: Une étrange aventure de Lemmy Caution (1965)
The Music Helps Make it Work & It's a 1965 Ford Mustang!
I think this is one of those love or hate movies. Either you see the dark humor and connect with it or you find it to be stupid, ridiculous and lousy filmmaking. I won't try to sway one way or another. I'll just say the music alone is a gas!
Composer Paul Misraki wrote many scores for other film greats like Renoir, Bunuel, and Orson Welles.
Also, a number of reviews here and elsewhere say Lemmy drives to Alphaville in a Ford Galaxy.
I can assure you, it's a 1965 Ford Mustang.
Jaco (2015)
Very good, but...
Why no content about his time with Pat Metheny? Or, was I in the kitchen?
To many, Jaco's work with Metheny is as significant as his work with Weather Report.
And not even a comment from Pat.
But, we do see Metheny for 2 seconds under the closing credits. Unfortunate omission.
Otherwise, we'll made, great clips of Jaco and good audio, but it could have been tightened up a bit.
