The Devil's Rejects (2005)
Not Zombie's Best
This crew has done better. Killer 70's soundtrack though.
Glitch (2015)
Decent Show
Like it for the most part. Just started Season 3. I swear the guy that plays Owen is an Australian doppelgänger for Brad Pitt-eyes and demeanor, just change the hair and accent.
Crush the Skull (2015)
What A Nice Surprise
This is what good writing and a good cast in film with any kind of budget should look like. Fun, silly, smart, stupid, tense, and well worth your time.
Loved the 4 leads-will definitely be on the lookout for them, the writer, and director again.
Serenity (2019)
Trust McConaughey-Give this Gem a Chance
I have many genre blend puns, but I definitely don't want to spoil anythin. It's NOT what was marketed or you think it's going to be about. Great cast, wonderful whiplash twist, and come on man, McConaughey is just perfection personified. He makes great, unsafe choices.
Abandoned (2010)
Lifetime lite? Ugh
Sweet Brittany Murphy is stuck in this garbage with human waste product, Dean Cain. Funny how since he portrayed Scott Peterson he gradually morphed into even a bigger dirt bag. MAGAts can't act. It's a shame he spoiled her last movie even more than the writers/director.
Horrible. Her greasy hair and overdrawn lips did not help. Gawd!
The Unraveling (2015)
Hangover Meets Intervention
Thriller, Not Horror
Still it was entertaining, well produced, well acted, well written. Kind of fizzles at end, but they tried.
The Walking Dead: What Happened and What's Going On (2015)
Missed A Very Important Person
It was a passable episode-not great by any stretch. But okay, I get that the recently dead were there to usher Tyresse on. But why no Karen??! The Governor, but not Karen? Even Hershel would have been better than Govvy. All I can say is poor Sasha can not catch a break since Bob...😥
Black Summer (2019)
Conceptually Misses
If you get what made TWD so incredibly amazing from the instant, you'll get why this attempt at the genre misses every mark. The fact they killed off Supernatural's Benny right off shows whoever is behind this just doesn't get it all.
The Girl Next Door (2007)
Aka An American Crime
Not sure why this horrifically sad and depraved story had to be made into two movies, but this one is inferior. This version is creepy, but the other is that and heartbreaking.
The Super (2017)
Not Cool
Why attempt making a decent movie only for it to be a lame set up for a sequel? Lost anything redeeming with that ridiculousness.
The Culling (2015)
2 Points for Trying
Starts off like a thousand other road trip with a bunch of good looking young people. No character development per se, but noticed a few moments of the writer/director trying not to fall into obvious stupid horror movie tropes. That said, it's pretty much a waste of time. The wife is horrendous and nothing is explained. The lead girl and last boy to die were trying.
Travelers (2016)
Gets It Right
It's a great addition to the time travel genre. If you appreciated the awesome writing, character development, and overall experience of shows like Fringe and Continium, you'll love this one too.
Special props to Eric M for being so great in everything he does.
Streetwalkin' (1985)
Camp 70's hooker/pimp Afterschool Special
Surprisingly many people who are still liked to thus day "acted" their way through this wannabe mess of gritty 70's NYC lowlife life. Seriously, it's just an AfterSchool special with an R rating for boobs.
Watch Taxi Driver instead.
The Incantation (2018)
Life's Too Short
Couldn't take it. Dean Cain should've been my first clue. What garbage. Don't waste your time unless you've got too much to spare.
Riverdale (2017)
It's ok-basic TV soap
Basic TV soap with pretty people, tangled webs...just meh
Vampire Clan (2002)
Lifetime Version of Real Life Craziness
Though well produced this glosses over the heinous real life horror.
Fox Trap (2016)
Kinda like if PPL was 1hr 37min
Not horrible. Not great. It sort of felt like watching what whatever amount of seasons Pretty Little Liars was had been condensed into a movie-without the amazing Hanna zingers.
Oh geez just look at the end screen graphics with the "ssshh" girl and dirty faces.
I, Anna (2012)
It's The Leads That Make it Worth Your Time
Charlotte Rampling and Gabriel Byrne are always so right and authentic. Throughly enjoyed this movie, and the twist made it even better.
At the Devil's Door (2014)
Could've been...
Nope. Done better. Actors did the best they could with nil.
Cake (2014)
Thank you, Jennifer A
Jennifer Aniston is perfect. Movie, just about. Great job.
The Boy (2016)
Quit making stuff on spec!
Lauren was fine, but really?! Why the lane last act? I'm so tired in this trend.
Cargo (2017)
Worth your Time
Always looking for the interesting take on this genre beside the best: TWD. I wasn't wowed, but I wasn't disappointed either.
Anon (2018)
Minority Report lite
Gave a 6 for Clive. Such promise. Such waste. Why go there and end so silly?
