Unikitty! (2017)
From Toys To Visual Media
Lego is a brand of toy blocks that originated in Europe. The blocks can be used to construct stuff. Some are so creative that they use the blocks to make massive sculptures. As a child, I used to enjoy those toy blocks when my family used to buy those things for me.
Over many years, I never knew the blocks would be a super hit. When I say super hit, studios when on to make films and TV shows featuring characters with lego-style physiques. First they made that Lego movie, Then they later created UniKitty, a TV series with similar themes.
This TV series centers on the titular character UniKitty, a half-unicorn/half-cat who is charming but also hot-tempered. Various synopsis's say she's a princess whose responsibility is making sure that the citizens of her kingdom are happy. As to how the show is, all I could say is this. The pictures quality is fine, and the plot elements are standard for a slapstick comedy show. The voices suit the characters (but with some exceptions... Puppycorn). He (Puppycorn) sounds like some dull hag. I guess I should admit that the show's creators put some great effort but they still disappoint.
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
Poor Tails has been kidnapped by sluts. I hope some boys will rescue him.
The first Sonic game dates back to the early 1990s or perhaps the late 1980s. The game was such a hit that it spawned numerous sequels and other installments. While a lot of Sonic's games were well received, he also had some bad times. And this game which happens to share the same title as the first game was one of Sonic's bad times. The developers were in a rush to release the game on a certain holiday that they didn't have time to thoroughly inspect the game for flaws.
But the fact that the game has programming issues is only one of the things that I find unfavorable. This game also marked the beginning were sluts took over providing the words of Tails. The sluts continue to do so to this day. When will Tails go back to the boys where he belongs? Boys are best for him because Tails is a boy. I hope the developers understand that.
Rocky and Bullwinkle (2014)
Because Their Feature Film Bombed, Should This Short Be Their Redemption?
Rocky the flying squirrel, and Bullwinkle the moose made their debut in a TV series in the late 1950s. The series lasted a few seasons over five years. How those two appeared in that series has since been their only moments of fame. Fast forward to the year 2000, Rocky and Bullwinkle appeared in their first and only feature film. Unfortunately, that film was a commercial failure as the film's box office numbers were less than its budget. The two guys were pretty much forgotten after this.
After not being heard of for a number of years, Rocky and Bullwinkle would have another shot to regain some lost fame as they are featured in this short film. This short was to appear as an opener for the Mr. Peabody and Sherman feature film. But for some reason, the short was not featured.
As for the short itself, I guess I should be impressed as I have some liking for cutesy stuff. However, I can't say that I'm entertained. What might have been done to make this short movie more appealing? Maybe they should have used a young actor to be Rocky.
Rocky was initially popular in his first few years in the original TV series. Perhaps the use of an old drag king to do his words led to his being eventually upstaged by Bullwinkle.
Conker's Bad Fur Day (2001)
Filthy and forgotten. If that's how those developers want him to be, then let him stay that way.
What kind of game developers would turn a nice decent character into a deranged freak? That's the case of the poor squirrel who was once adored by young audiences prior to being corrupted. The developers made that bizarre decision just to fare well with critics. But was the "new" character a commercial success and did it improve his popularity? No.
If you want your game to make great sales, it should be aimed at audiences at all ages. A media featuring a deranged character as well as various obscene themes is certain to flop at the market 80% of the time. Never mind what detractors say on what you do for a long time. If what you been doing is selling fairly, then it's best to maintain that trend.
Poor Conky. Kids certainly missed the clean cute critter you once were. I can only hope those developers reconsider.
