Wrong Turn (2021)
7/10
Not the original, but still good.
19 June 2021
If you go into this movie expecting the original Wrong Turn, you'll probably be disappointed. That being said, this is a good movie. I'm a big fan of the original Wrong Turn so I kind of wish they had called this something else, but I did like it. This movie doesn't have the Hills Have Eyes element that the original Wrong Turn had. It still has a group of young people heading into the woods, not listening to the warnings and red flags along the way, and then getting into trouble with the people who live on the mountain. I enjoyed this movie, but I do wish they had titled it "The Foundation" (as another reviewer suggested) or something other than Wrong Turn. By calling it Wrong Turn, they obviously upset a lot of the fans of the original which caused it to not get a fair rating from a lot of people.

Overall, I definitely would recommend this movie. It was a good, suspenseful movie with a great ending. Just don't go into it expecting a copy of the 2003 Wrong Turn or you'll be disappointed.

Relentless (III) (2020)

Awful

Relentless? Relentlessly boring maybe. This is the worst "horror" movie I've watched in a while. I, personally, wouldn't even call it horror. It is a drama at best. I'm upset I wasted time even watching this. It is boring and the main character makes some incredibly stupid decisions (even for a horror movie character). I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Not even someone I hate.

Why all the bad reviews?
13 October 2020
I'm not sure why this has so many bad reviews. I really liked it. The first two stories are better than the last, but I never found myself bored (which is saying something when you watch every horror movie and TV show you can find and nearly half of them bore you). I liked the first adaptation of Clive Barker's Books of Blood and I like this one too. If you're looking for pure gore or jump scares, this isn't the movie for you, but if you're looking for something creepy and unnerving, I would recommend this one.
