Artemis Fowl (2020)
Less than 20 minutes in.
This movie is awful. I've read the whole series, and I understand that there's not really any such thing as sticking to the book 100%, but this movie only used like less than 1% of the reading material. They used the names. Artemis is unrecognizable. He's supposed to be cold and calculating. He doesn't do kid stuff and he's all about staying clean. He said not the kind of person to go play in the water or ride around in the forest. Artemis' mom isn't dead in the books, Artemis' dad is already missing in the first book. I'm so angry. Disney, you are a hot pile of garbage. Don't make a second movie.
I watched the rest of the movie after airing out my anger, and I'm not going to change my rating. This movie isn't even good if you don't take the books into account. The plot is bad. Artemis is probably in like 5 minutes of this movie. Why isn't this called Artemis Fowl: The Mulch Diggums story? He's in the movie more than the main character of the series. Seriously a steaming pile of crap. Avoid this movie like Covid.
Emo: The Musical (2016)
Not bad
It's not the best movie ever, but it's definitely one of the only good musicals in existence. The music is good and it makes sense that the characters would be singing because they are in bands. There aren't any large group numbers where everyone knows the words for some reason. It's pretty much a perfect movie in that way. I only gave it a 7 based on my own personal scale. 7 means I like the movie but it's not something that I'd watch it over and over again. It's more of a once in a while kind of movie. That being said, I've seen it 4 times.
The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978)
So bad it's good
There's not really much to say about this movie other than that it is exactly what you should expect from a cheesy holiday special. I mean it is awful, like it makes very little sense if any. A good portion is just Wookiee's making Wookie noises with no subtitles telling you what they are saying and they literally put a whole "how to" video in the special. It's ridiculous, but if you haven't seen it, you should see it. It's worth watching for the experience, if you can get your hands on it.
