Depp V Heard (2023)
Biased Propaganda! Never watching anything involving Amber Heard!
As someone who followed the entire trial live, this propaganda from Amber, garbed as "docu series" is making me think that Depp made a mistake settling. Instead of regretting and apologising for her lies, she still continues to try and paint herself as the victim.
This totally lopsided series shows she has not learned her lesson, or humbled by the very public display of her evil. Depp should have made her pay the entire amount awarded to him, especially after her Instagram saying she is not admitting guilt. I vow I will never watch any project where she is involved, which included Aquaman 2 that I was very eager to watch.
Heart of Stone (2023)
Replacing Alia would have made movie better!
Pros: Action sequences were good. GAL IS AMAZING and can easily carry a movie on her own.
Cons: Jamie is dull and Fifty Shades shows he is no good. Script was not that strong and the dialogues were quite bland and unimpressive. All the twists were quite predictable. But the biggest drawback was ALIA. If it was not for her, I would have given at least 2 more stars. She is irritating as hell. I spoke to some of my Indian friends and they say she is a product of nepotism and is gold standard for being dumb. Everyone, including the Bollywood industry, makes fun of her for not knowing basic things about her own country that a school student would know. Her projects are ill received and I see why. I wish Netflix does more research on REAL ACTORS like Kangana Ranaut (as my Indian friends tell me). Netflix needs to learn from what happened to Amazon after Citadel. Priyanka is another one of those overrated people. Irfan Khan was a gem. They need to hire Kangana for a right project and loose the nepotism kids.
Ajmer 92 (2023)
Systematically Suppressed Event Finally Gets Some Light
Although I was aware about the abuse, that is reminiscent of Rotherham scandal in UK, it was great to a movie made about it. Must see movie for anyone who visits the infamous Ajmer Dargah. I have personally discouraged over 100 people from visiting the dargah and making these culprits richer. Go watch the movie.
The acting was good enough. New actors had done a decent job, which I think was important as established "actors" would not agreed to do such courageous role for a movie on a top that pays mainstream industry's salaries. I hope such movies will motivate others to pick events that has been systematically suppressed by the Congress and "peacefuls".
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect (2022)
Watch Movies Like This, Save Yourself From Urduwood BS
This movie is a league of it's own. I urge people to watch it. It sends a message to Urduwood mafia to stop producing BS and we are tired of rehashed story over and over again. Rocketry has a heart, emotion that will touch every true Indian to the sacrifice and injustice that our gems faced during the Nehru Congress reign.
Hurdang (2022)
Worth Watching For Fresh Take On Controversy
Loved the movie and its boldness. A great take on a controversial topic like caste based reservation. Highly recommended to watch the movie. Songs are surprisingly good. Acting from Sunny is spot on. Nusrat faded a bit in front of him. I wish they had promoted the movie more. It had so much potential for bringing a new take with "unpopular opinion".
The Conversion (2022)
Finally We have movie makers with guts to show reality
The topic this movie discusses has been happening for centuries and many cultural institutions have been silently fighting to prevent it from happening. Great to see an artistic representation of an important issue. Wish feminists would appreciate something that helps women from being treated like child making machines by a particular cult.
Nayika Devi: The Warrior Queen (2022)
Glorious History Shown
A must see for all those who thinks Bharat is just a land of losers. If we were, we would've been refugees in a different country as Zorostrians are. We stood firm and we still stand. These are the kind of stories that you should hear about from feminists, about real empowerment. Not about shedding clothes or about crying about issues. But fighting for what is right. Huge thumbs up to the makers.
Haider (2014)
Propaganda for Islamic Terrorism
It is sad that factual movies like The Kashmir Files is questioned and movies like Haider that justifies terr0r1$m is praised. Tells you how deep Urban naxals and Islamists are dominating the media.
Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022)
Masterpiece of Bollywood Showing Criminals As Victims
Nothing new. Just a typical bollywood movie that shows criminals as heroes and "victims" of society. Of course they did not care about the victims of Karim and all those women forced into selling their bodies by Gangubai. Not to mention the nepotism which now is evident results in good people (read SSR) losing their lives. People supporting such movies in the name of "entertainment" with no regard of a life- should be ashamed.
Gehraiyaan (2022)
Unoriginal Story, Terrible Acting
Once you ignore the typical Bollywood romaticising adulty and being wanna be western- you will realise it still has no substance. Everybody seems uninterested. Ananya is just as bad as ever, if not worse. Couldn't help but picture Deepika standing with tukde tukde gang and Nasuruddin feeling "unsafe" while being at the set. Characters, plot, actors, everything ironically lacks gehraiyi. Hard pass.
Shut In (2022)
Gripping
Hollywood has done a good job in setting my bar so low that any movie that does not preach - i love. Not only Shut In does not preach, but it is a very gripping movie in itself. Could have released this in theaters and made some good money.
How I Met Your Father (2022)
Learn From CW
Fake laughs really brought back painful memories of Little Late with Lilly Singh cringe. Acting is sub par. Duff is ok but not great. Gen Z stuff is way too much on the face for a 21 year old POC like me.
One would think these idiots in the "entertainment industry" would track of their peers and learn from their mistakes. Apparently not. Twitter-verse is not real world. Checking as many "diversity" boxes as one can does not equate to good content. Virtue signaling does not equal to "social message" or "current events". I'd love nothing more than diversity of thoughts. I am going to give it 2-3 more episodes before I take the final call.
Peacemaker (2022)
Meh!
I dont understand why Hollywood thinks WWE is good source of talent. Dwayne is not a great actor. He is popular because he at least has charisma. Bautista and Cena lacks both. Just because I prefer DC to Marvel, I may continue watching it for a few more episodes. Shaky is nauseating. Humour is ok but craaaaping on right is getting hackneyed. We get it. Republicans and right are evil monsters and left liberals are angels, Alex Jones is fake news and CNN is word of god. Stop it already. Those people dont watch your stuff anyway to notice your taunts. Be creative and entertaining and leave your politics for voting day.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Irony Died A Thousand Deaths
Ironic that he would pick Leo for a role when is one of the major contributors of pollution and a hypocrite when he flies on his private jet to Paris to lecture us about how we are destroying the planet. Obvious disdain to republicans and others on the right is not new in Hollywood. Virtue signaling and grand standing while vilifying white straight males is getting boring now. I had to fast forward the movie to get through it.
Hawkeye (2021)
Nothing Hits the Bullseye
Cant really place my finger on what does not click. Nothing works. Two eps up and it does not generate any eagerness to know more. The acting from from leads is laughable. Farmiga is the only one who looks like she took the show seriously enough. Rest, especially leads, seem disinterested. Plot is weak, weaker than Falcon and Winter Soldier. No chemistry. The look and feel is like a CW show. Actors, writers, everyone seems to have taken it for granted.
Dune (2021)
Ok, not good!
Just visually impressive. The acting is borderline bad. The story is fine. Very slow movie. Jason Momoa was the only one fun to watch. You may get bored slightly. You would not miss much if you skip the movie.
You (2018)
Stop With The Preaching Already
Season 1 was best, 2 was tolerable and 3 I couldn't even finish with the constant preaching about anti-vaxx and black victim mentality and some character doing a gender degree that has zero use in society. Damn. Where do one go to get entertained without being lectured to?
Sanak (2021)
Vidyut Is Worth The Time
The story may not be the most novel or original but Vidyut is such an amazing actor that he alone takes it to next level. He is so underrated. I wish the underworld khan mafia allows such amazing talents to flourish more.
Rashmi Rocket (2021)
Leading Star The Weakest Link
Abhishek Bannerjee actual steals the show and makes it tolerable to watch. Funny that the lead of this movie Tapsee is the weakest performer. She has only two expressions. Mildly happy/amused one and mildly angry/sad one. She is one of the most overrated actress. Watch all her movies and you will find the same expressions in all of them. The story had such good potential, wasted on a talentless person. Not to mention her inclination to communist anti-India forces.
Stargirl (2020)
Crappy Season 2
Season was so good, it almost felt like a movie quality. Season 2 was such a disappointment with filler episodes and filler sequences in the episodes itself. It is almost like the writers got bored but had to fill the time and episode quota. Please please please, for the love of god, get rid of that chick playing wanna be goggles. Her expressions and voice and everything is so irritating that I fast forward the episode when she is on screen. Shade was the only character that kept me engaged.
Septembers of Shiraz (2015)
Beautifully depicts how a virus resulted in complete removed of Jews in Middle East
I would not expect such movies to be made in today's left leaning, politically correct (which means factually incorrect) and Islamist Hollywood. There was thriving Buddhist, Jewish, Christian and Hindu population spread across Middle east and asia which has been reduced to a fraction because of one religion that claims to be a religion of peace. All the historical facts and events, to this day, points in the opposite direction. Highly recommended movie. One of my all time favourites.
What Is Life Worth (2020)
Watched it for Keaton
Really do not know how you make a movie about 9/11 and completely ignore the anger over Islamic terrorism that caused it all, and continues to do so even today. No idea why governments waste taxpayers money on compensation. Life insurance is made for the same purpose. Trudeau paying a convicted Islamic terrorist millions of dollars is a good example too. Would have loved to see how he come up with the formula instead of the drag.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
Over-rated, like Black Panther
Before anyone thinks I am a straight white male who is not allowed to have opinions- let me tell you I am asian myself. Now the movie is truly overrated. Action is good, Virtue signaling was limited but not absent. Cliche MCU formula really is off putting. The only novelty was the looks of the actors. I did not get overly bored but I would not have missed much if I did not watch it.
Black Widow (2021)
When Gender Takes Over From Talent
Marvel is ruining all the great characters they have and they have very few interesting characters to begin with, compared to DC. Winter Soldier was ruined and now Black Widow. Since when is using sexuality a bad thing? James Bond does it and it is practical and looks great. China and a lot of other governments use it in real life. Action and Taskmaster was the most disappointing, especially because it had so much potential. Change of director and writer would have done wonders. A huge miss.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
JL we deserve
All that effort to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut was so worth it. This in a way also shakes my confidence a lot in WB executives. Why would someone replace this masterpiece with what Whedon did? Anyway, please watch this movie. Fans and casual audiences would love the movie alike.
