ATHENA: Social strife has began
5 October 2022
ATHENA is an urban war movie with a political touch by Romain Gavras who follows the lead of his father -the Greek well known director and screenplay writer- Costa Gavras. The film is all about how the lives of 3 French siblings with an Algerian descent immerse into chaos after the death of the fourth younger brother under unclear circumstances. The pain of the loss becomes rage and then... BOOM! Everything explodes at ATHENA building complex in Paris and the social strife begins. Although the film has all the necessary elements to be mentioned as a contemporary Greek tragedy and besides the insane long take opening scene it also has a lot of weak spots and blurry motives.

Joker (I) (2019)

A role model movie for its kind
28 June 2020
The movie story is about DC's super villain JOKER, the ultimate opponent of Batman. Todd Phillips achieved to make a really interested movie without the presence of Bruce Wayne. The filmmaker makes us see for the events that lead to the rising of Joker. Before that Joker was a regular person with a regular life. So why Flek became a villain? Who is responsible for that? That movie tries to show for the first time the human side of Joker. It doesn't show Fleck like a bad guy but as a person who fight for his dignity in a deep corrupt society and make us be questioned about "Is it just me or is it getting crazier out there?"

Lost in Paris (2016)
6/10
A French comedy to spend your time
28 June 2020
Fiona, a strange Canadian woman from a snowy village, after the receive of a letter of despair from her aunt Martha decides to visit her in Paris. And let the show begins. Funny moments and unexplainable adventures for a mature woman who learns to explore the world from the beginning. The movie has its very funny moments to be really honest but in some scenes you can see that the imagination of filmmaker takes too far. It's a 83 min movie but achivies to make you check your clock about the time. Obviously it's not a masterpiece or one of a kind but in the context of an open air cinema is a movie to watch.

excellent film

perfect screenplay and great actors. Is an emblematic film against fascism and Nazism! tragic finale that shows the hole true of the the situation in school nowadays and the danger that our kids are involved every single day! The summary of the film in my opinion is that parents they have to upbringing their children to a open-minded and friendly family environment. Parents' hazardous believes propagandize children minds and transform them from good little people to an "atomical future youthful bomb". Mainly parents are responsible for theirs children delinquent behaviors and actions and first of all we have to blame them for the tragic incidence and not the children. Luckily there are several teachers nowadays who still believe that is their duty to rehabilitate delinquent teens and the most important part is that there are people that still believe in human kindness.
