Interceptor (2022)
She just loves wasting bullets
There is a lot about this movie that's fairly unbelievable but the way the lead wastes any and all resources she acquires throughout the film is just laughable.
Station 19: Here It Comes Again (2021)
It's for you, not them
It drives me insane that people complain about episodes like this. The "we want our entertainment, stop preaching" crowd is missing the point. These episodes aren't for people of color. They know what they have to deal with. They live it. These episodes are for people like me. Straight, white men. We deserve constant reminders. We should have the problems of others thrown in our faces. As often as possible. We need to understand that this isn't a "hot topic". It's a daily occurrence. It's a way of life. A way of life that should not be tolerated. If that means my favorite shows take time to shove that in my face, I applaud them for it. We all need to care about each other. We all need to be in this together.
The Legend of Vox Machina: The Tide of Bone (2022)
Omg omg omg!!!
PIKE! I spent so much of this episode cheering and crying, I had to rewatch nearly half of it to catch everything I missed! Love it. So much awesome, so much sadness, so much triumph. I can't wait for the last 3 episodes.
Lucifer: Daniel Espinoza: Naked and Afraid (2021)
What a turn
I spent the whole episode thinking "wow, this is just dumb". Every turn, every next step, just seemed soooo silly and outlandish. That being said, I NEVER saw that ending coming. Laughed out loud, made the whole episode pay off. Great little ride.
9-1-1: Lone Star: One Day (2021)
Absolutely heartbreaking
I've never written a review for any episode before this but this episode broke me. Gina Torres is amazing in this episode. Her acting, her pain, her distance. As someone who's experienced a lot of loss and pain, I can't even imagine being in her characters situation. Astonishing work from this episode. Bravo.
I Kill Giants (2017)
Another amazing movie ruined by Hollywood marketing
This movie is absolutely beautiful. The story is touching, the fantastical aspects are a wonderful allegory for childhood trauma. The acting is brilliant. I'm starting to believe it's not a coincidence that Zoe Saldana is in some of the highest grossing movies of all time. The music choices are well thought out and on point. The only thing that stops this movie from being well-known and loved is the abysmal handling of the trailer and marketing.
