Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
13 Years later and he's captured us all again
It almost feels like we never left Pandora. You jump right back in 13 years later like you just finished the first at the cinema. What an experience it was back then and what an experience it was again. Nobody can deny the beauty of the film. Visually it's one of the best pieces of cinema we've seen in a long time and will probably see for a while (until the next film that is). The story isn't quite as strong as the visuals. It's predicable, but then again so was the first. Some of the best scenes were the emotional one's which I think the film as a whole lacked enough of, such as the wasted romance with Tsireya. The narration during the film was great but there was so little for the mighty length of the film. Overall though the film had to introduce a lot, new characters, new villages and new relationships, but I felt they dealt with this well. It didn't drag, it wasn't so drawn out that you felt bored but it kept you invested enough throughout to want to see where it was all going, even if you could've predicted it all after the first 10 minutes. This world is mesmerising, it makes you want to see more of what it has to offer. That's why we'll be back for the third, perhaps not for the story, or the characters but to see what the beautiful world of Pandora has to offer, and to get the full experience you have to see it on the big screen!
The Grand Tour: The Grand Tour: A Scandi Flick (2022)
Back with a bang!
After the last couple of specials I had begun to lose hope with the trio. I believed their magic was fading. But this episode was funny, tense and exciting. It felt hell of a lot less scripted than past episodes. The comedic element was there but they also made you care strongly about the cars and each challenge. They travelled across pretty landscape, highlighted why those countries were beautiful and the picturesque views they provide. Hopefully they continue with content like this in the future as this episode showed they still have a lot more to offer to us as a viewer and a prime subscriber.
One of the best episodes of The Grand Tour.
House of the Dragon (2022)
What a rebound.
Are people still annoyed about the last season of GOT? It wasn't great, we can all admit that, but boy has HOTD started strong. Great acting performances already, very brutal at times and political. Minus the comedy it has all the great elements of GOT. Excited to see what's next!
WandaVision (2021)
A breath of fresh air
It's something different. Something new. Marvel has to start shaking things up else it will become the same old. Why can't people embrace change? People here are only giving it 1 stars without seeing it all first. We're obviously expecting twists and turns throughout this. Embrace something new and keep an open mind and who knows, you may even enjoy it!
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019)
What's the fuss?
Obviously it's not perfect but read the audience reviews on twitter, people don't mind it. It's the best of the new trilogy by a long shot, it was engaging and at the end of the day it wrapped things up nicely with things to keep us thinking.
Some suckers need to get a life and honestly just enjoy the film.
Top Gear: Episode #27.2 (2019)
Hilarious
After the original trip went I was put off of Top Gear but the new line up proves that the show is back on 'track'. Hilarious and it's only getting better, the scene with the milk was class and I thought they made the guests feel part of the crew.
