The Karate Kid Part III (1989)
Not Great, But Better Than Part -Two
This isn't a very good film, however it's better than the second one!
I just watched all of the Karate Kid movies back-to-back, and Part III did have some good moments..... unfortunately, it still fell flat.
There's not much to say here, it's just another predictable Karate Kid film, with no big surprises.
The first film was the best one, there's no doubt about that. Big fans of the trilogy will probably want to pick up part III just to complete their collection, that's about it.
I can only recommend this movie as a fun way to kill a boring Sunday afternoon.

Freddy Got Fingered (2001)
Very Unique and Ahead of Its Time!
No- this movie is definitely not for everyone. It's an acquired taste, that fits more into the "cult-cinema" category than it fits into "comedy" Make no mistake....this is NOT a regular comedy, nor should it even be viewed as such.
Tom Green wrote, directed and starred in this movie, while his show was #1 on MTV....and I'm sure everyone was expecting it to be a little more conventional and mainstream.
WELL- Tom came out with something completely different! Nobody was expecting a movie like this; many people were shocked, many were disappointed, and many were angry. But that is exactly what Tom Green wanted- mixed reactions! Before you can enjoy "Freddy Got Fingered" you have to first be able to appreciate all of its sheer rebelliousness! This is a film that basically tells Hollywood where to go, by breaking the rules and by spitting in the faces of all those MTV fans who thought that Tom Green was just another wacky comedian. He's a lot more than that, and he's also a lot smarter than people give him credit for.
I love how this film completely SHOCKS the audience, with disgusting scenes that even Frank Zappa would find offensive! I love the silly dialogue between Gord and his disapproving father, played by Rip Torn! I love all of the ridiculous nonsense that goes on...and the bad taste! But most of all- I love how this film, no matter how crazy it gets- still manages to mirror Tom Green's real life struggle to make it big in the entertainment business! There's a lot of truth to this movie, and only Tom's biggest fans would know that.
"Freddy Got Fingered" may not be very popular with the mainstream, but it definitely has a little cult-following of its own, and that following will keep getting bigger....until one day- far in the future....this movie will finally get the respect that it deserves! I've never seen anything quite like this movie, it's just so unique- it's just so rebellious- and it's just so much fun!
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)
Supposed To Be A Classic....But It's NOT
This is the very first Star Trek film, with all of the original cast members from the TV show reuniting after 10 years. It's really cool to watch everyone get back together aboard the Enterprise, but that's about it. After that, the movie gets incredibly slow and boring.
I have tried to watch this movie several times, and I always fall asleep. I can't help it.... I really wanted to like this movie, but it's just not very good. The only reason this film was successful- is because it was the very first Star Trek film.
If it had been made 2nd...or 3rd.... it would have been remembered as a flop! The storyline moves way too slow- BORING STUFF!
Born to Win (1971)
Classic 70's Crime Film!
I like these old B-Movies from the 1970's they're the kind that used to show on cable TV at 3:00AM
"Born To Win" is a cool movie to watch when you're bored and have nowhere to go on a Saturday night.
The story revolves around a junkie named JJ who spends most of his time doing small jobs for drug dealers, and getting paid with dope.
There's a real 70's feel to this movie, with lots of funky music, dealers and druggies, walkin' the walk and talking' the talk!
Featuring a very young Robert Deniro as Danny!

WWE Legends of WrestleMania (2009)
Could Have Been So Much Better
The graphics are amazing- very realistic and life-like!
The roster is amazing- lots of classic WWE stars who all took part in the Wrestlemania series!
The compatibility with Smack-Down is also amazing- giving you the chance to combine the present with the past!
But- there are still some major problems with this WWE game- like the fact that there isn't a tournament mode of any kind.
Sure, you can take part in some classic matches and re-write history, but only with certain wrestlers.
There's nothing that your entire roster can all take part in together, except for maybe the Royal Rumble- or Exhibition mode.
Legends of Wrestlemania lacks the ability to involve every wrestler in some sort of exciting storyline- like the previous Smack-Down Vs Raw games did.
I mean, there's no way to start an original career mode with all of your favorite wrestlers, and that really takes away from the fun.
I hope they come out with a much better version of this terrible game... because I was very let down.
To a Safer Place (1987)
Shirley Turcotte takes us through her painful memories of being a victim of incest.
This inspiring film is the story of how one woman has come to terms with her life as a survivor of incest. Sexually abused by her father from infancy to early adolescence, Shirley Turcotte is now in her thirties and has succeeded in building a rich and full life.
Shirley takes a further step to reconcile her past and present. The film accompanies her as she returns to the people and places of her childhood. Her mother, brothers and sister, all of whom were also caught up in the cycle of family violence, openly share their thoughts. Their frank disclosures will encourage survivors of incest to break through the silence and betrayal to recover and develop a sense of self-worth and dignity.
Rocky Balboa (2006)
A Very Good Sequel ....And Well Written Film!
Now almost 60 years old- Rocky Balboa, a legend of the boxing-ring, spends his days running a restaurant- named after his late wife and love of his life- Adrian.
There's nothing left to prove. Throughout his career, Rocky took on the best... and he beat the best! His legacy is known all over, by the many fans who stop him in the street- asking for an autograph or a photo with the two time ex-champion of the world!
He tells the old boxing stories! He talks about old friends- and makes new ones everywhere he goes. He's remembered as a legend, a man who never backed down. A man who fought hard- right until the very end.
Until suddenly, one day... there's a whole new beginning!!!
A computer simulated fight, between Rocky Balboa- and the current champion of the world, Mason Dixon- is broad-casted on Television. The computer shows, that if Dixon had ever stepped into the ring against Balboa when he was at his prime... Balboa would have been victorious!
This computer simulation gets everyone talking. It gets Mason Dixon's attention, and it also gets 60 year old Rocky Balboa's attention.... who is now approached by Dixon's manager, and asked to fight an exhibition match against the champion!
"Rocky Balboa" the 6th film in the Trilogy- is surprisingly, very well made! It takes us back to the style of Part 1 and re-captures some of its old spirit!
A 60 year old man, with nothing left to prove, and a 20 year old man, with plenty left to prove- step into the ring, for the fight of a lifetime! The past will meet the present- and a whole new generation will meet The Italian Stallion...Rocky Balboa!
It Ain't Over- Until It's Over.
Codename Icarus (1981)
Code Name: Icarus
A British school for brilliant minds, secretly brainwashes their students, and programs them to build bombs for the government. The main character Martin, is in fact one of these brilliant minds, who has no clue what is happening to him.
They showed us this film in my grade 8 English class. We watched it in 3 parts- and had to write reports on it. Although it is rather dated, I found this film interesting! From what I remember, the acting is good and the storyline is full of suspense!
If this is what gifted schools are all about, I'm glad I was just a regular dumb kid- hahaha Although- it would be kind of neat to build a bomb!
