The Midnight Sky (2020)
Very disappointing
I really wanted to like this movie. I've been waiting patiently several months to see it. It's based on a book by an author I assume can create solid characters and decided "I can write a SciFi book", well no you can't. I really, really hate authors who feel SciFi is nothing more that slapping some pseudo scientific concept on a novel they would write otherwise. So how are the two remaining astronauts supposed to save humanity, how is that genetically possible.
The Man in the High Castle: Fire from the Gods (2019)
The last 5 minutes WTF
I have read the all of the other reviews and now don't feel so dumb anymore. Ok, so a portal is open, what about the other side(s). What's drawing all of these people across, are they all from the same world.
Based on what was explained before, you can't cross if you exist in that world. So I guess that means these people are alternates of ones that were killed in this world. What a cruel joke on them coming to this hole of a world. I guess that's why "the man in the high castle" is running into the crowd, he's looking for his wife.
But that begs the question, with all of those alternative worlds out there, why that that particular alternate person comes across.
There is so many holes here that I feel I'm eating Swiss cheese.
Disenchantment (2018)
I enjoyed the 10 episodes, wish there was more
I enjoyed the 10 episodes, wish there was more. I will watch it again since I am now familiar with the characters and will look for actions in the scenes I missed. I am ok with the 10 episodes presenting a connected story arc instead of individual stand alone stories.
