If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (2015)
Poorly written.
Somehow they managed to make all characters annoying. Moose is a bit slow, dog is straight stupid, pig is narcissistic, mouse is can't-focus-impulse-type, cat is only exception of Inventor. I watched 2 episodes and can't go further. It rather won't be show for my kid. Drawing style is ok.
To get this into perspective of Whinnie the Pooh. There all characters have flaws and strengths. Pooh is just simple, not stupid. Tiger is short temper but brave. Etc. In here, characters are muddled, and badly written.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 8: Redemption (2019)
Genius scout troper scene, rest is just Meh
You feel emotions for characters equal to the danger they face. Everything was fine, till droid comes rushing, and reality bends. No one hits, becomes immune to bullets, 30 troopers AND DeathSquad is unable to hit and kill 4 guys, on open space.
I want to live till day that Stormtroopers are not just target practice. Usually, even in canon movies when Empire shows in numbers you NEED to outsmart them. But nope. You can just gun them down in this episode.
Major disappointment in Waititi and a script.
He did excellent, brilliant job in scouts dialog. That proves comedy element. But everything else is weak. How am I feel respect to opponent if even in vast numbers they are completely harmless? It was worse then Ewoks.
Still Rouge One is only movie that delivers. Looking at these 10/10, I restrict to God damn masterpieces, I presume... I won't see shows I like.
But mandalorian as whole is a step in good direction. Any moment of this show is better then last 3 movies
Jason Bourne (2016)
Shake it baby!
"Let's shake the camera and slap the script." That's what producer said.
I thought we were through with realistic setting film mixed with hyper-surveillance-we-know-everything "enchance that frame" bullshit.
Flow of the film is the same 90% of the time. Borne is followed. Same way. No new ideas then "crowd cover".
Motivations are not bad, character development is okayish.
