Northern Exposure: Let's Dance (1995)
Just Bad All Around
I love this show, but nearly everything about this episode is absolutely awful. Not everything after Joel left is terrible, there were even some entertaining and memorable moments in the later episodes. This one, however, is excruciating to watch. The ongoing squabble between the new doctor and his wife was an unnecessary and unwelcome distraction to the show; at least they seem to have worked things out. But the overall pace and storyline of this one is just plain bad. For continuity's sake, you should probably watch it for the full NE experience. But set your expectations low for this episode. It's downright dismal.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Good Ones (2021)
Abysmal
I loved this series, and now that it's come to an end I will most likely re-watch it several times. But I will most certainly skip this awful episode. I felt like I was in another dimension watching it. Thankfully things picked up for (most of) the rest of the final season. This episode was downright painful to watch and barely had anything funny in it... it was just one miserably woke thing after another.
Backstrom: Bogeyman (2015)
Series Pinnacle
I absolutely loved this show and hated to see it canceled after such a short time. I recently watched this episode again, and I have to say that it was definitely the best one of the series. There is an excellent storyline, and the Backstrom character is fully developed at this point. Plus there's a lot of insight into Almond's and Valentine's personal lives. Overall well worth a watch (or rewatch)!
Prodigal Son: Speak of the Devil (2021)
Another victim of "wokeness"
Last season was quite enjoyable to watch. This one is inferior in every way - and yet another show that seems hell-bent on pushing social and political agendas. Great job, Fox... another promising program killed by "wokeness".
